StartFleet has been amazing in helping me open my US LLC as a non resident alien in record time and with record simplicity. An LLC in the States wasn't on my radar at all, I had always been advised to look at places like Belize or the British Virgin Islands. The whole idea felt a little like a pipe dream and hard to achieve. For at least the last 5 years it wasn't much more than fanciful fiction.

In April 2022, while debugging javascript for a project, a french coder I found in a GitHub Repo had a link to a personal blog with a very off-topic article. How and why to set up an LLC in the states as opposed to the island style I had always been looking at. He outlined detailed instructions on how to achieve this and why going in this direction would be beneficial, as opposed to the same setup on a tropical island.

When I started doing more research, it started making more sense and I kept seeing a blog article about forming a US LLC as a Non-US Resident and the tax-free LLC structure it could offer if set up this way. This great article leads me to enquire on the Startfleet site for more info. Joe came back to me by email, our time-zones were radically different, yet we started a conversation. I am not the type of person to easily trust the internet, especially on this topic and the seemingly slippery subject matter.

Joe was calm, going back and forth with me over a few nights, answering my dissertation-style questions accurately and professionally, offering back questions I was going to ask and better still, giving me things to consider I flat out didn't know anything about. From the outset, Joe's intellect and acumen on the subject quickly proving to me he was the real deal, still without a phone call to this day, all through chatbot and then email, he has guided me to form an LLC that is working out brilliantly, now 3 months in.

From the start, his attentive and to-the-point dealings, which lead to dealings with other staff at Startfleet, with the same good attitude and results-driven outcomes, the whole thing was ready and going in 2 weeks, The cost was much cheaper than an island in the sun but above all, it makes more sense. Stripe, Paypal and Google are already in use and clients are expecting to be able to keep using them.

My business model lends itself to this style of setup, while it's not for everyone the knowledge and tact Joe and his team showed me was initially calming. I felt trust grow early, which built to logical solutions being offered with a clear and organised way to achieve what I wanted, all at a price I expected to be 2 or 3 times higher.
