I've contacted their customer support for a few things while I've gotten my site up. Every time, they have had a great response - directly fixed bugs, confirmed engineering details where needed, and even changed back-end settings to make my workflow easier.

This is the best customer service experience I've had from any company in a great long while.

Terrible file uploading system.

I published my page using the free trial mode on this service. When 7 days passed, my page was automatically deleted. I didn't receive even single E-mail message about the fact it is going to happen. No, it didn't go to spam folder, I'm checking it every time I check the inbox.

AI support agent on their site told me that I need to upgrade to a paid plan and to recreate the page, and they will also not keep my domain. Human support agent suggested to tell them the name of my page if I planned to upgrade to the paid plan, so that they could look it up in the latest backups.

So they couldn't even store the name of the site I created for 7 days. I am shocked by this data treatment.

The allegations of illegal activity and the claim that the company "knew something was off from the very beginning" are unfounded. At no point prior to my own outreach regarding the issue described at the start of my review did the service contact me about security concerns.

After I posted my Trustpilot review, they offered two months of premium access in exchange for a rating change—an arrangement I was willing to discuss, and at that time no security issues regarding my account were raised.

My website hosted nothing more than a two-step guide explaining how to pin the Chrome extension after installation, and the site link was accessed only once per user during that process.
When they later demanded the extension URL, I asked why it was necessary and received this response:
"Could you please respond to our question with the requested information and avoid the chat discussion here in support? Please send us the link to your advertised extension for review."
The dismissive tone and refusal to give a substantive explanation ended my willingness to cooperate.

My Chrome extension has already passed Google’s Web Store review and fully complies with all relevant policies.
I am prepared to provide Trustpilot with any supporting information needed to confirm the authenticity of this experience and to demonstrate that no illegal activity occurred on my part.

I'm a fan. As a 90s kid who learned HTML in 8th grade. This was the fastest way for me to get a quick little web page up and going.

Adding my domain was easy, certificate was cool, appreciate them handling that as well. I was like "WHY CANT I USE HTTP I DONT WANT HTTPS" and then I was like oh wait they gonna make it https for me, noice.

Says Free website but asks for credit card information. Why you deceive people? It would be great to make money with transparency!

I moved a website that had been built on a university computer to Static.app because the university was shutting down the server the site was on. I had a copy of the site in a .zip file and uploading that to Static.app was easy. I had to have the university change the site's DNS record, but there is a page in the app that explains exactly what to tell the DNS gurus. There is another page that you get to by clicking on your website, then settings, then entering your custom domain that I had trouble finding, but support was awesome and it's all working great now.

Its really frustrating for this account suspension once you have uploaded the zipped file. Does this thing even work or they are here to collect peoples information. Or there is something i am missing!

I was looking for a way to transfer a 16 MB zip file to a home assistant VM, but my account was immediately suspended. Nothing happened when you try to get some help

i decided to write my own website for the first time, and i was having trouble with some domain issues and whatnot that i could not figure out. the static team got back to my email almost immediately and we got the problem solved before i fed my dog breakfast lol. Roman was a huge help and my website is back up and running smoothly. Thanks!!

I needed a place to serve up my static business landing page right away. Setting this up was one of the easiest things I've ever done regarding any web technology, and results were fast. All I did was load a zip of my files and folders, and point the registrar to the provided IP address. It was a lesson in user interface and user experience.

Good concept - although quite barebones compared to PaaS tools like Render, Vercel, or Railway, this is an excellent option for hosting a static website.

It is a great hosting platform if you just want to have something to show someone else. Very great!
