NOT SO BAD!

After reading the other reviews on this website, I feel as if I am writing about a different company. While their watches are terrible, they all break after about 6 months. I have been pleased with their jewelry, which seems to be a very good value for the price. I have never had a problem with them accepting coupons. You know the shipping and insurance charges at checkout. If they are too high for you, then don't buy. Not a terrible company to deal with. Four stars because they can't make and sell a decent watch.

Major rip-off! Fraudulent is putting it mildly. I would also give this company 0 stars if I could. My elderly mom with dementia orders from their catalogs, and I cancel them when I see the outrageous prices. This last time they charged her $29.94 for shipping and insurance for a small phone wristlet. The math on their order details never adds up. They hike up the prices and then throw in random coupons to bring the charges down. One of her orders said all items were in stock, but once she placed the order, the status changed to "on backorder". Do yourself a favor and DO NOT ORDER FROM STAUER.

ANOTHER Staur watch quit

ANOTHER Staur watch quit. Went to change to Daylight Saving Time on model 58010. Hands went crazy. I'm sure I was doing it right, but went on there website to look up instructions. That model doesn't appear in a search. Not the instructions, not even the watch itself is listed. Third broken Staur watch in 2 years. Never again!

Beware if you have any elderly dementia relatives

I am really not the person to ever leave reviews. Even if my experience is bad, I prefer to not say anything at all and just take my business elsewhere. Stauer however, has brought my blood to a boil when they quite literally manipulated my poor 86 year old father with dementia out of tens of thousands of dollars before I was able to notice and put a stop to it. He even had a personal sales rep that he could call day and night! Almost 80k later, I was finally able to get the paperwork in order to get a power of attorney and put a stop to all future purchases.

The quality is sub-par and the sales tactics are criminal at best. I will be filing a report with the local elderly protection service.

SHIPPING IS A RIP OFF!

Bought a pair of sunglasses and the charge for shipping was $24.95 for an item that weighed under a 1/4 lb at max. They figure shipping on a percentage of the item cost not the actual cost of sending the item. A TOTAL RIP OFF.

that went fine, but when I went to put it in it made a dumb excuse of why it wouldn't work the n tried a different coupon and added additional money I just want to order something while using my coupons that are apparently no good and expired even though I just got them the same exact day. FRaud that is ALL THAT IT IS!!! JUST GO TO BASS PRO SHOPS OR ACADEMY!!!

I wish I could give no stars

I wish I could give no stars. After receiving one of their watches as a gift, the watch stopped working three months later. I was originally told because I didn't purchase the warranty plan, they would not replace it. After talking to a manager they finally replaced the watch. It was about thee weeks later that the new watch stopped working. I sent the watch back for a refund. I have my grandfather's watch from 1944 that works fine and this Stauer won't work for a month.

Stick to the Expensive Brands

Broken in 5 minutes while I don’t know of any of Stauer’s other products besides the multi tool I can confirm that it is unusable unless you wanna waste money on a decoration instead of a working tool.

Will not accept their own coupons

I attempted to place an order after receiving discount coupons in the mail. The coupon plainly states an expiration of 12/31/25. One coupon of $54.75 - no minimum. The second states "we're giving you additional $125 OFF! with your purchase of $200 or more." The rep I can only use one.
False advertisement!

They hire workers through consulting…

They hire workers through consulting firms in other countries, they pay poorly, they made us sell a $129 membership and paid us only $1 per membership, they set impossible targets for the workers, not even their best managers could not sell a membership to customers, customers can't use their purchased coupons in most catalogs because the company puts a thousand rules in place to prevent them from using them, in addition, 60% of the calls are customer complaints about their poor and terrible quality, what they sell as GOLD is gold stainless steel, the Lusso Amethyst that they gave away "for free" (but you have to pay shipping and also inssurence for pthe package) tarnishes and ruins clothes, like most of the products, Diane is a rude manipulator, she fired workers on a whim and for power within the company, if you join through SOLVO the consulting firm is also terrible, this are people who exploit their workers, they don't give days off unless they are unpaid, two companies shitty people who got together to ruin workers with the worst work experience.

They are selling an australian pearls necklace and earings. I bought one for $99 but they are not real pearls, they are plastic made. The advertisement is misleading.

The products are very cheaply made

The products are very cheaply made. Even with incredible deep discounts the price doesn’t match the value and far exceeds it. I am returning my order and hoping that they refund in a timely manner. If not, I will dispute the charge with my credit card company and file a compliant with the BBB.

High pressure sales tactics and persistent spam marketing emails made my purchase a regrettable decision. I repeatedly requested to be removed from their subscriber lists to no avail. Absolutely awful experience!!

Totally Sour on Stauer

I purchased a ring on sale for $59 -- which turned into an $88 purchase after taxes and fees, such as / insurance / shipping / handling / handling and shipping and more handling / more shipping / buyer portion of the employee who filled the order that day / other fees we charge because naive' customers mindlessly pay them / secondary insurance / etc. My wife didn't like the ring so I returned it the next day, within Stauer's stated 30-day return guarantee. The "refund" was credited about a month later: $47. Doing the math, I paid $70 for NOTHING: no ring . . . no product . . . nothing. Stauer made $70 on the transaction -- without my actually receiving ANYTHING, other than being serviced for $70 by Stauer. We now receive the Statuer catalogue -- more junk mail to immediately throw away.

Shipping and insurance are outrageous

They claim items are worth much more than the charge, but when I received my items they did not appear to be worth as much as they said. Also they charge outrageous shipping and insurance fees. It takes a long time to receive any refunds for returns and again charge large fees for shipping on returns. I will not be purchasing again from this company.

Calling customer service is a bad joke

Calling customer service is a bad joke. The recording says to submit online...no customer service line in the contact information at bottom of page. Will dispute through charge card. Do not use this company is my advice.

Backorder From 2024 - No Items or Refund

This is a long review, but hang with me, as this scumbag company deserves no additional orders from anyone. I purchased 12 Christmas gifts in November of 2024. 4 of them were notified to me as being backordered about 1 week before Christmas. To this day I have not received any further notifications on the backorders, and no refunds.

But it gets better. in March I called them and asked about the backorders and to get a refund. They told me, "or you're lucky, we just received these items in our warehouse and we're shipping them out to you."

Guess what. No shipment (it's now June 18). No further notifications. They still have my money. What a bunch of lying weasels. Don't order anything from this lying company.
