Booking process

Booked with them on 02 Oct 2026 for 08 Oct 2026 and was given 9am-10am time slot, I called 2 days pior to the appointment just to ensure it was still going ahead.
The person I spoke to did not seem to know about my appointment, put me on hold to check, before confirming it was still booked.
Day of appointment it's just before 10am I called just to make sure they are still coming. I was told that someone would be there soon, fair enough, happy to wait.
I got a call 20 minutes later from a 3rd party cleaner saying he had just been sent the job and would be there at 2pm.
I went ahead with the appointment but I was annoyed that I had to cancel my plans for the afternoon.
I would not recommend Steam Clean Experts to anyone, as they don't seem to have a clue what they are doing.

Avoid this company

Unfortunately I can't give minus stars. This company was so awful that no words are adequate to describe them. Let me down 1st appointment and then constantly bombarded me with messages to reschedule. Offered a discount to take and appointment so I gave them another chance.' Technician' phoned me constantly the day of appointment and showed up 2 hours early. Tried to double the amount I was to pay. He then told me the stains on my sofa and chair were pee! He said my dogs must pee on the sofa. I was so angry! My dogs have never in their life peed on my sofa. He then asked to use the toilet, no idea what for as he didn't flush or wash his hands, I felt like he was casing the joint! Then he asked for a drink, that's fine, most workmen will ask for water but he wanted a soft drink and it was cola or pepsi he stipulated. Incidentally he didn't open it but took it with him. Then came the sofa. He 'cleaned' it and took his equipment back out. My sofa and chair were dripping wet, my floor was like a swimming pool and he had soaked my rug. As I was cleaning all the water up I realised that he had also soaked all my furniture and photographs. The kitchen was a total mess too, he had spilled the dirty water all over the floor when he was emptying the machine and had kicked over the dogs water bowl. It took me well over an hour just to clean up after him and tbh on further inspection he didn't even clean the chair and sofa particularly well. Avoid this company at all cost no matter how much of a discount they offer.

Absolutely appalling service

Absolutely appalling service. I booked this company a week in advance to clean the carpets in my caravan before its sale. They confirmed both the date and the 11:00am appointment time, yet they never turned up.

When I called to find out where they were, I was told they would be around three hours late and that someone would call me back. That call never came, and they still didn’t show up.

As a result, I’ve had to waste my entire day, find another carpet cleaning company at short notice, and delay the sale of my caravan. Not only was the service completely unreliable, but I also feel I was misled instead of being given an honest explanation.

I genuinely don’t know how this business continues to operate with such poor customer service. If you value your time and need a company you can rely on, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. Made my partner feel uneasy in our home. A no obligation quote turned into an Interrogation. Turned up in a car and stank the house out.

AVOID

AVOID! Comple rip off merchants. Made appointment, didn’t turn up. Told them to forget it, but he phoned twice and pleaded for second chance. I stupidly agreed

When he finally turned up, he tried to up price from £99 to £270! I told him I had quote for £99. He tried to say that was the minimum price and the area I wanted cleaned was much bigger. This was in spite of the fact I had sent measurements of each room. At that point I chased them. After reading reviews on here , I’m so glad I did.

Rubbish DO NOT RECOMMEND

I was stupid not to check the reviews.. 1stly he came an hour and a half late.. when he came he did a quick clean in less then 40 mins and left the carpets soaking wet..
Only for the living room carpet and stairs he took £100 & as you can see from the photos he did a rubbish job.. the stains are all still there and the carpet smell now..rip off do Not Recommend..

Didn't turn up twice, waste of my time

Booked to have sofa cleaned, they didn't turn up, after waiting for an hour, so rebooked for 2 days later, guess what,still not turned up, I rang them and they said it was for tomorrow, what a waste of time, terrible

I was given a quote

I was given a quote, which I agreed to. When the chap turned up, he said that the couch would be more, than what I had been quoted for And despite sending pictures of the couch before I had the quote. The guy then went on to say they do a summer clean and a deep clean and that the quo was for summer clean. I said, I wanted a Deep clean. I also asked him to leave if he was going to inflate the quote!! He agreed to the quoted price and continued To clean the sofa, he took one hour and that was a four seater sofa and a chair. He told me it would be dry within 2 to 4 hours and 36 hours later my sofa was still very much wet. We had to take the cushions and put them in a dry area of the house. The sofa still has dirt patches which are easily removed As we have it cleaned every year. I did complain about the attempt of being ripped off and also how the couch was left soaking wet. I did receive a response saying somebody would be in contact with me at the moment. There’s no contact been made. Do not engage with this company absolutely a rip off, And the attempt to rip off some more and leave with the job not being completed, i.e. soaking wet Sofa!

Got quoted £175 for 2 sofas to be…

Got quoted £175 for 2 sofas to be steamed cleaned after sending measurements and photos the guy turned up and said the price was wrong and wanted to add another £40 I showed him the quote and he rang someone then Said it would be £30 extra so knocked a tenner off has I said I was going to leave it wished I had..sofa was apparently cleaned not by steam but water extraction method so basically a run of the mill carpet cleaner machine which I specifically asked for it to be steamed cleaned due to material being a corduroy type. guy finished around an hour later said it would look cleaner once it had dried my sofas where left soaking wet through which will probably take around a week to be fully dry also a red liquid type make up stain wasn't even attempted to be removed as this was still dry to touch..I got in touch to express my disappointment to be told basically I could have cancelled on the day if I wasn't happy with the price my issue isn't the price it was the service promised wasn't delivered I.e STEAM CLEANED not water extraction method also my wooden floor was left with puddles of water all over it. and I can still smell my dogs on the material so now my sofas have a musty smell to them
