Found this gem of a shop by accident but so glad i did. The team were so helpful to a new sewer like me. Their service snd knowledge was exceptional.

Great customer service and good range of items

Everything went well. We had two blinds fitted. Small detail in that the one blind was to fit above the window reveal, not inside the reveal. Unfortunately this was not checked at fitting before holes were drilled in the reveal! Correct fitting ensued later.

The two fitters were excellent, worked well together, and gave us a choice about how the blinds could be fitted.

The blinds fitted perfectly and look stunning, we are very pleased.

If you have the chance to visit Steve Bane Fabrics in Dorchester, don't miss it! The staff there is incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming. They're polite and eager to help without ever pressuring you to make a purchase. I can attest to this, as it took me months to choose fabric for my curtains. When it came to ensuring the right fit, Deklyn visited my home and provided outstanding advice on what would suit the space best. I highly recommend them, especially if selecting curtains and blinds isn’t your cup of tea.

A home visit to choose fabric and measure the windows. Blinds took a few weeks to make obviously they were not just making mine however it was well worth the wait. Blinds were fitted by the fitter from the shop . My windows look nice now making a lovely finish.

Found the store in Dorchester, the staff were very helpful in helping me choose a fabric I emailed my measurements and the curtains were ready sooner than expected. The staff greeted me politely and were very helpful in getting the curtains into my car. All the clips were fitted on the headings do just needed to be put in place

We collected our new curtains yesterday and they are absolutely fabulous! They have been made up to a very high standard and arrived in good time. I would highly recommend Steve Bane Fabrics and will happily use their services again.

Great service and gorgeous products. I have used and recommended SBF for many years. The service, quality of products and pricing is excellent. My plantation shutters took a while on order, but they look amazing and look as good as the day they were installed 3 years ago, my daughter's stunning made to measure curtains still look like new 2 years in, no fading whatsoever, even on her south facing windows. When dressing show houses, I can order everything from blinds, to shutters in a single visit and know the job will be done in a timely manner, to the highest of standards, without breaking the budget! Thanks Deklyn and team, you are an asset to Dorset (and beyond)!

Steve Bane fabrics are great, if you can go to the shop in Dorchester do ! Because the ladies there really know their stuff ; polite , helpful, friendly and absolutely no pressure to buy - I should know because I took months deciding over curtains fabrics.
As for getting the correct fitting Deklyn came to the home and was the best in explaining what would work and what would not - cannot recommend them enough especially if, like me , buying curtains and blinds does not thrill you with excitement

The two young men who came to measure up were efficient and courteous; the payment process was straightforward, and the blinds, which met expectations, were installed by the same two individuals, within the time frame stated. The price was competitive, and the whole experience extremely positive. I will certainly go back to Steve Bane Fabrics again when I wish to purchase some curtains.

Over several years we have had kitchen and bathroom blinds, lounge curtains, integral black out and daylight screen( sorry I can’t recall the name of it!!)
