While their system performs reliably, a major caveat is their pricing instability. They have a history of significant rate hikes without much notice. In my case, they transitioned from a tiered model of $4/TB for storage and $7/TB for egress to a flat $15/TB fee later this year. For a high-volume operation with 100TB of data, that’s the difference between a $400 monthly bill and a $1,500 one—an increase that effectively killed my business model. I won't come back soon and can only advise everyone to simply build up their own infra for storage.

Storj recently introduced a new minimum charge of 5$. I found this unacceptable and decided to delete my account. No longer recommend this provider for small projects because of this new charge.

I'm both a Storj user and a node operator, and I'm really impressed! It's easy to use, offers a generous free tier (150GB!), and has a great community.

As a user, I appreciate the fast speeds and simple interface. As a node operator, I value the clear guidelines and multiple storage options. Storj even offers an S3-compatible service, which is a huge plus.

While I wish there was more focus on egress for node operators, I'm still very happy with the platform. Storj is a fantastic decentralized storage solution, and I highly recommend it!
