Excellent service from first visit till final painting of our conservatory.Construction panels,insulation,electric lights,plastering,left for a week then painting.They all cleared up afterwards.I would highly recommend this company if you are thinking of fitting a roof on your conservatory.

I’ve had an excellent experience with Stroma Building Control and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

From the outset, their appointment scheduling has been reliable and timely, which makes a huge difference when you’re trying to keep a project on track. A particularly helpful touch is the courtesy call about half an hour before arrival, it’s a simple thing, but it shows real consideration for customers’ time and helps everything run smoothly.

The building inspectors themselves are consistently polite, professional, and approachable. What really stands out is how clearly they explain what needs to be completed and, just as importantly, why. That level of communication makes the whole process far less stressful and gives you confidence that things are being done properly.

Their service is excellent across the board, whether in person, over the phone, or via email, communication is always prompt, helpful, and professional.

Their online portal is another highlight, straightforward to navigate and very easy to use. Uploading documents, whether photos or calculations, is quick and hassle & free, which saves a lot of back and forth.

Overall, this is a company that combines efficiency with excellent customer service, easily a 5* company. I would definitely recommend them. Honestly, local government services could learn a lot from how Stroma operates.

Do not use this company. The customer service is some of the worst I have ever encountered. One of their surveyors came to my property on two occassions as part of the building inspection, no issues with this. However, when the online portal didn't update with the visits I tried to contact Stroma to find out what the delay was. 3 months later I eventually got hold of someone who said the visits had never happened. After weeks of emails, they then decided that the visits had in fact happened and sent me the documentation. Upon review they had used another properties pictures and tried to pass it off as my property. Whlist this was happening I was continually being chased by their finance department for an overdue payment- this wasn't due until the final certificate was ready to be released to me. My emails have gone unresponded to, my calls ignored and when I do manage to speak with someone they are rude and inconsiderate.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Find someone else.

Stroma building control was recommended to us by our architect.
I now understand why they were recommended after completion.
They worked closely with the building contractors.
Everything went smoothly with all their appointments, inspections all on time clockwise and not to mention the updates online.
The follow up to confirm the update report by email and to lock in and check on this.
A professional service that can be recommended.

The building inspector that came to do my final inspection was asked to take off his shoes, as I had new carpet fitted he didn’t and walked muck all the way over my runner carpet.
Stroma seem to think an apology is appropriate and have had the audacity to just send me some cleaning materials. I’m disgusted would never recommend this company.

I would highly recommend using Stroma in any building project that you may be thinking of undertaking. We recently had a single storey extension built, Stroma took away all the stress connected with the project. Their staff are very professional, friendly and they provide an excellent customer service and they are very supportive, we were kept informed of every stage of the project.

Stroma made the whole process simple, What can be a minefield was made easy by continued support and valuable advice. My building control officer, Michael Richards was friendly helpful and gave me advice when needed.

Avoid This Outfit! They Just want your Money!
After weeks and months of chasing them to come out and inspect the final build and sign off the work I got a guy to come out. He spent half an hour looking round, asked some questions and went. Another month goes by and still no certification arrives. Chased them again only to be sent a 6 page form to fill in that the builder (now moved on to another job) and the architect need to fill in and sign and then some extra drawings. Pointless paying for these time wasters. Best go straight to the local authority and get them to do it. I still don't have my certification. But they have now thrown my case out as its taken to long for them resolve. They won't refund the £800 + VAT either. Computer says no! Not a customer focused thread in this organisation. Avoid at all costs.....!
