Got a bag on sale but got into trouble with customs because of the misdeclaration of value. I had to pay import tax because of the declared value. There should have been no problem if the declared value was the sale price. They were super fast in resolving the issue within 2 days. I got the bag, and I am very satisfied with the quality as well as professionalism of Stuart and Lau, I would highly recommend this store for their product and customer service.

Just got my briefcase -- the cary double. It's incredible. It's a beautiful product and the functionality is unmatched. These guys clearly thought about every detail. I'm very happy with this. The packaging is top notch. Will be back on the site soon for weekender bags. Thanks

My husband is in love with his Cary Briefcase. Bought it for him a few years back after reading it won the best briefcase competition, and I must say, it’s definitely worth all the hype. He now happily owns the gym bag and their dopp kit, and I cannot wait to see what comes next (hoping for rolling luggage)

It was easy to order and determine the right size bag for me. The bag itself is awesome. So many pockets and space. The look is phenomenal.

Bought a bag from Stuart & Lau and it became my go-to bag everyday! This durable bag is the right size and has the fast-access pockets for my access cards and AirPods. Fast delivery, highly recommended!

I bought a bag from S&L on clearance -- maybe my first mistake, since apparently clearance items have no warranty. (I didn't even think to check if it would since an item being on clearance almost never voids warranty, just returns.) Bag arrived -- the tan canvas Single briefcase -- and I liked it until after a little over a month one of the prongs of the buckles on one of the handles broke: it appears to be made out of plastic. (Yikes.)

Wrote S&L an email and they fortunately agreed that despite the bag being a clearance item (and thus, no warranty) that they would provide a replacement, refurbished bag, and gave me a few options. (The one I'd ordered was sold out.) I was at this point mildly put off since I did in fact pay for a brand-new bag, but I figured refurbished meant it would be reconditioned to at least a 'like-new' condition. I was wrong, as the new bag arrived and the soft felt-like pocket on the front was riddled with holes, and there was also what seemed to be a piece of hard candy rolling around in the lining of the bag that these holes led to. On top of which they had not provided the matching strap for this bag -- when I emailed to question the condition of the bag ("refurbished", my ass, this is pretty clearly just a returned item) and strap they only addressed the mismatched strap by sending out the correct strap.

I sent one final email asking if they in fact were asking that I just accept a bag with such an obvious flaw in workmanship and quality, including a picture of said pocket riddled with holes in case they didn't realize the extent of the issue. I've received no response.

Maybe the experience is drastically different for customers who don't have the audacity to purchase sale items. But I won't be recommending this company or their products to anyone.

I own both the Cary and Monaco bags and couldn’t be happier with how they’ve held up since purchasing them over three years ago. It’s a testament to the quality of the materials and construction that they hardly look worse for wear—if anything, the leather handles have softened and make it more comfortable to carry. What’s more, the sharp, clever internal features really put S&L above its peers, imo.

the carry (blue suitcase with tan straps) is the best looking and most usable briefcase out there.

Excellent customer service. I recently submitted an initial review regarding my briefcase purchase. I am really enjoying the briefcase itself, but the strap is slightly uncomfortable. Someone reached out to me the following day to let me know they have a prototype comfort strap available that I can try. I haven’t received the replacement strap just yet, but the customer service and responsiveness has been exceptional.
