Independent Engineer gives wrong assessment faulty chair
My partner has arthritis and needs a chair that can help him get up easily. We bought a chair six months ago. Easy to assemble. I noticed it was starting to lean to one side and then saw the leg of the chair had moved outwards. I screwed it back into the right position but ended up having to do this every evening. I contacted Stunning Chairs and they sent over an independent Engineer from Emmiera Group. He looked at the back of the chair and then I realised it was happening because the side of the chair had become disconnected from the back frame. He did notice the back leg but I told him it did that automatically every day. He then left and wrote a report to Stunning Chairs that the side of the chair had become disconnected because I had not screwed on the leg of the chair properly. Stunning Chairs then wrote to me to say that it was not a manufacturer's fault and thus I wouldn't get a replacement. I explained the leg of the chair was as a result of the broken chair not the other way around. We have now lost the money and can no longer use the chair. It was 'the independent expert's' word against mine. Stunning Chairs chose his wrong assessment over my honest account.
Update: the reply to my review confirms a complete lack of accountability through the ‘doubling down’ response. Not a good look.

We categorically reject the accusation that we unfairly favoured an engineer’s opinion over the customer’s account. Suggesting that a professional assessment was dismissed as incorrect simply because its findings did not align with the customer’s own interpretation is unfounded. The engineer was appointed to provide an independent, professional assessment, and we relied on their findings rather than speculation or assumption. It is wholly unreasonable to imply that the assessment was invalid simply because its conclusion was unfavourable to the customer. The findings identified incorrect assembly, which is not, in itself, evidence of a manufacturing defect. We stand firmly by our decision, which was based on professional evidence and a fair investigation, not bias or disregard for the customer’s account.

Beautiful chair and very comfortable. It highlights the room. Service was very quick, the chair was with us within 3 days of purchase. The limited amount of assembly was easy. All-in-all a great chair for a great price, would definitely recommend.

Not delivered!
Unfortunately the delivery never arrived... it was all going so well, DHL let them down badly and then I was offered a refund rather than delivery - which meant completing a lost form and backwards & forwards on email... such a shame as the items look great but never received anything - be aware of the delivery T&Cs I have not had a refund confirmed yet so no money and no chair!!

Without doubt the worst customer…
Without doubt the worst customer service in the history of shops opening. There's no point in writing it all down as nobody on this planet would believe it. It's a scam company from the start. Run while you can! In respect to your reply, the customer, ( being myself has not kept the chairs ) and donated them to charity, as there was no hope of ever recieving my money back for second hand delivered goods. Don't take it from me , read other very disatisfied customers

We strongly reject the accusation that we are a “scam company.” This is entirely untrue and not supported by the facts.
Both chairs supplied were new products. Packaging can differ where boxes have been damaged or reinforced, and boucle upholstery can appear flatter after being compressed during packaging and transit.
We responded to the concerns raised, reviewed the photographs provided and requested further evidence to allow us to properly assess the issue. Following our correspondence, the customer chose to keep both chairs.
We are happy to address genuine concerns, but it is unfair to label our business a scam based on an unsubstantiated assumption that a chair was previously used.

The chair I bought was lovely..
The chair I bought was lovely... in the picture.
However, I was sent the wrong, £100 cheaper completely different style chair and when I emailed the team, I was offered 10% off the cheaper version! Insult!
I understand the pattern varies, that's fine, but the entire shape and style. Nooo!
No idea what my original purchase is like to sit in.
When I emailed 3 times before I got a response, I was told the chair I'd bought was out of stock.
I was sold a chair that didn't exist and palmed off with a different one.
No-one answers the phones, called 3 times and waited 15 mins each time before giving up.
When I contacted Stunning Chairs on Chat to enquire about my refund, they asked me if I was asking about a 'Buyers Remorse' refund... Rude!
I didn't realise Chat could be so condescending.
I've since been told it could take up to 14 days for a refund from the time they receive and inspect the product. I've waited 12 days so far.
The 1 star goes to the person I spoke to on the phone who was helpful, no stars at all for the company, their refund policy or whatever sits behind their Chatbot.
