Dealt with Chris Evans when I purchased a new business and I must say that the service that I received was fantastic. Kept me up to date with the process all the way through. Very responsive to calls and emails and will hopefully be using them again in the future.

We purchased a Bradford based that was marketed by Swan. I have to say the entire process led by Chris was first class. The IM was slick and accurate, and throughout the entire process Chris was fully supportive and professional.
I would recommend Swan and from my experience are one of the better brokers out there.

After you make the initial marketing payment you don’t here for them they introduced 1 buyer and left us to it be careful on what you sign for because the emails mean nothing and will cost you
Only phone calls you get off them is for money

I have been looking for my first business to buy and came across a business marketed by Luke at Swan Business Brokers.
I phoned to get some further information on the business I was enquiring about and ended up receiving some hugely helpful advice and support.
Given that this is the first time I have been looking for a business to acquire, Luke was hugely helpful in guiding me through some funding options, but also supporting different avenues of businesses to explore further.

I chose this company because they were based locally to me, they'd recently sold a business similar to mine and they were happy to promote businesses which were selling in my price bracket rather than focussing on million pound deals. I also really liked the guy on the zoom call and felt like he understood the business.

I never got to speak to him again. The initial setting up felt like quite a bombardment to get information to them and I was happy with the sales page and it went up quickly. And then I basically didn't hear anything. I had to chase up my five week emails/phone calls and they often felt like a 'shrug'. I'm not totally sure that they upheld their obligations for promotion - I could not find evidence that it was promoted on their social media for example. I found Luke hard to get a hold of and quite dismissive. I did speak to his colleague, Sandy, who was much more engaging and she promised me that he was much better at his job when there's a sale pending (of course, that's where the money is, but I can't help but think there'd be a sale pending earlier if the promotion that was promised had happened).

Towards the year mark we discussed updating my profile with more current figures, which took too long to do and then I felt I could promote the sale myself which got a buyer interested and from then on Luke was much more helpful. I can't fault him from that point so Sandy was right. With his help I got the full asking price and his industry experience felt really good to have on my side but I also appreciated the help he offered to my buyers for their smooth experience.

I thought Luke was a nice man, aspects of the process like the setting up were incredibly efficient and the end result was good but I still can't help feeling a it let down at the promotion side of it.

I put my business for sale through Swan Business Brokers as I found them very helpful in answering all of my questions and guiding me through the process. During the time it was for sale, both Luke and Sandy were very helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Chris was great with the explanation and a detailed understanding of micro sized businesses like mine. He was honest in clarifying what parts of the business are saleable versus what streams have value.

The quality of the IM was far superior to that which I had received by others. Very clear and informative, giving you a deep understanding of the proposition. A very thorough and well considered document.

Poor after sales service took my money back in November never heard anything since avoid !!

We spoke with Luke about new premises on Tuesday and by Friday we had a deal, heads of terms done and signed and with our lawyer all within 6 days.

He is by far one of the best people I have had the pleasure to deal with, he kept us up to date and was always available for questions we had.

From the outset the team at Swan were great! Explaining the process and making sure we understood what would happen in terms of the process and timescales. Their valuation was much better than our expectation and the value the sale achieved, was a little less but still good for us. I had a thoroughly sub-par experience with Swan Business Brokers. Navdeep talks a great talk to get you on board, but my sales rep Luke was completely elusive - he did not get in touch for the regular check-ins promised.
The first month I hadn't heard, I chased him and eventually got a call back, once I looped in his boss.
The second and third months - tumbleweed.

Aside from a nice sales brochure (thank you Sandy) I just did not feel at all that they did what they promised to and what I paid for: try actively to sell my business for me and keep in the loop regularly as to what was happening (even if nothing is happening - I was still promised a regular call).
Avoid!
