Stock mats are built to pre-selected sizes that have been most requested by our customers. Custom mats are for customers who want a mat built specifically to fit the inside of their shower, or any other space where they desire the comfort, warmth and beauty of teak. Custom mats can also be built any size and can conform to odd shapes and curves. What is an interlocking mat? Many of our customers have large spaces they wish to fill with one of our beautiful custom teak mats. In order to make it easier to install, remove for maintenance, as well as reduce shipping costs, we build these as interlocking mats. Basically it's two or more pieces built to lock together like puzzle pieces on the underside of the mat. After installation the mat looks like it's one full mat. If we can get it built and shipped sooner we will. On the day your products ships you will receive an email with tracking information. How do I maintain my in-shower teak mat? Each time you would clean your shower/bath, lift your teak mat up, if it appears to need a cleaning, clean it. Once your mat starts to look “shabby” clean it well, let it dry, and re-apply teak oil (TO-8). When applying teak oil, wipe it off as soon as you have finished oiling it.
