Terrible experience with this company

Terrible experience with this company - based in Ellerslie, Auckland, New Zealand.

We took in a Meta Quest 3 VR headset to repair a cracked front motion sensor glass. The headset was powering on before repair, although tracking was not working correctly.

The company kept the headset for over a month and provided virtually no updates unless I contacted them myself. Communication throughout was poor, and I found the owner extremely rude and condescending during multiple conversations, often speaking over me and not allowing me to explain the issue.

When I collected the headset, I was told the repair had been completed, the device had been tested, and everything was working. We paid $180 and took it home, only to discover that the headset would no longer boot properly at all. It now shows the Meta logo briefly before shutting down completely.

When I contacted the owner about this, he became defensive and stated that I had “only asked him to fix the glass”, despite previously assuring me that the headset had been checked and was working before collection.

I would not recommend this business based on our experience. Poor communication, poor customer service, and we were left with a device in worse condition than when it was dropped off.

Zero customer service

Zero customer service. I purchased a motor and once received, when our technician took the motor out of the box, he realized he would not be able to install it, so he put it back in the box and returned it to the office. It was a snowy day, so the box got warped, but the return instructions say it is required to be returned in the original shipping. We returned the motor and was contacted saying they cannot refund as the motor is used and dirty. The motor was NEVER installed and the only "dirt" on it would have been from the technician's hands and weather conditions. Now they have a brand new motor that they can re-sell to someone else and get twice as much for it since they refuse to refund our money and we are not paying another $75 to have it shipped back to us.

Appauling customer service

Appauling customer service, rude, dismissive and uncompromising. How on earth this "company" has managed to run a business like this and not go bust is beyond me! I'm sure it won't be long though
as I can see I'm not the only one thinking this.
If anybody out there is thinking of buying off these jokers .. Just don't! What a bunch of limp wristed halfwits must be at the helm of this sinking ship, boat, raft.. Amazing!!

Absolute rubbish.....DO NOT BUY

Absolute rubbish.

I didn’t even have to sign for the parcel, something I found strange for the price I paid and thinking I had got such a great buy. Everything about it looks cheap, the box was all dented and thin no case as such for the watch. There was nothing on the box, watch or instructions saying about “Tech” watch it was clear it was cheap and nasty Chinese watch pretending to be something that it’s not. Anything that comes with Chinese instructions clearly says to me cheap. Lucky for me I payed by PayPal and they happily recovered my money back! Be warned please and don’t buy! I also payed for the guarantee nothing about that was included, I would say a complete and utter con.

Zal hier niet snel meer iets bestellen

Ik moest wat kaku spullen hebben en tech4u had een goede prijs en gaf aan de spullen op voorraad te hebben.
Na mijn order te hebben geplaatst en betaald te hebben kreeg ik een orderbevestiging en toen werd het stil.
In mijn account kon ik de order niet terug vinden dus wou ik gaan bellen maar een klantenservice die te bereiken is van dinsdag tm vrijdag van 13:00 tot 17:00?
Maar goed,na een week mijn bestelling in goede orde ontvangen.

Volgende keer maar een paar euro meer betalen en weten waar ik aan toe ben want dit is niks.

AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!

If only Google had shown me the bad review pages BEFORE I'd made my purchase. Thanks Google. I'm now waiting on a refund for a $603 laptop... well... it was originally $603 (including shipping). Paying by Paypal incurred a 2.5% transaction fee. I'm glad I did pay by Paypal now though, because I'll most likely have to wait for Paypal to refund the money for me via the buyer protection plan. The payment had gone through, approved by my bank AND by Paypal. The next day I received an email saying that because I was a first time customer they needed to verify who I was, for security purposes. The whole reason businesses accept Paypal is so they don't need to worry about verifying who their customers are because Paypal has already done that for them. They needed an ISP email address or an employer phone number. I use live.com so there's no ISP email address to give them. I'm also a stay-at-home carer for my children on the Autism spectrum, so no employer phone number either. After explaining this to them over the phone I was flat out told that they would not be able to do business with me unless I paid via direct deposit..... WHAT??? THEY ALREADY HAD MY MONEY IN THEIR PAYPAL ACCOUNT!!!! I'M NOT STUPID ENOUGH TO PAY THEM TWICE!!!!! All I could do was tell them to cancel the order, which got done before I'd even hung up the phone. My live.com email notified me of the cancellation instantly. They then said it would take 48 hours for a refund. I've since reported them to the Dept of Fair Trading AND to Paypal, who confirmed with me that they had no right to ask for further information or payment. I'm not expecting them to actually hit the refund button. Like I said earlier, I'm just happy I paid via Paypal, because I'm guaranteed a refund eventually. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!! THEY"RE NOT WORTH THE HASSLES!!!!

Very easy to order from and very fast delivery

The Tech4U web site is full of useful business hardware and realistic cheap prices. The site is easy to order from, and delivery is prompt.
When I ordered the wrong printers their returns department helped me return the wrong equipment for a refund.
As an I.T. support specialist it is essential that I be able to purchase equipment for my clients at the best price possible, and tech4u enables me to do this.
