Terrace Downs Resort Avis 

My husband and I stayed at Terrace Downs for my birthday in April and it was breathtakingly beautiful. I had a pedicure at the spa and it was the best spa experience I have had and so relaxing. The spa is gorgeous and the staff very professional and friendly.
The staff at Terrace Downs were friendly and helpful, accommodating all of our needs.
Our room was luxurious, clean and warm, we loved sitting on the balcony in the early evening and watching the magnificent sunset over the hills while enjoying a glass of champagne.
We went to Hunters Restaurant for dinner and the food blew us away. So delicious and perfectly presented, it was an experience in itself. World class, quality food.
Back in our room we relaxed for the rest of the evening in the raised spa bath. I imagine this would be even better in the extended daylight hours of summer when you could sit and admire the view from the spa out to the hills.
Everything was just perfect and we look forward to coming to stay again for a relaxing getaway.

We were very impressed with the friendly helpful staff especially the chef who provided a wonderful meal for a family member with food allergies. The Sunday buffet was a real treat. Accomodation warm and comfortable. A fabulous place to visit.

we come every year for wedding anniversary stay over night and do little to nothing but enjoy food and views.also have come here on a number of occasion either just to relax or play golf and other activities. staff food and rooms etc are awesome . And if you come round july august you may even get snow which even as a 50 year old is still good fun lol.

Excellent accomodation and the best steak I have been served in NZ.

Great location, comfortable accommodation & friendly staff

We thoroughly enjoyed our break at Terrace Downs. Check in was seamless, our requests were attended to promptly. Our villa was cosy & comfortable.

Rooms with very roomy and comfortable
It would have been nice to have a few nice things to have with drinks or an in house breakfast option

Staff - Very friendly, polite and helpful. Just one suggestion:
I requested by email to book spa appointment for 3pm, reception advised that 3pm was not available but 3.15 was, however in the 45 minutes it took me to reply that 3.15 would be OK , the 3.15 slot had been given to someone else. It would have been better if reception had advised that they had pencilled me in for 3.15 as 3pm was not available and asked that I confirm that 3.15pm was OK before offering it to someone else.

Restaurant - food was excellent and staff were excellent.

Accomodation -
The apartments at Terrace downs are very smart. Nice comfy bed, well equipped kitchen, everything worked and was perfectly clean. If and when the apartments are due to refurbishment I would suggest only one improvement - undertile heating for bathroom! That floor is very cold!

Totally loved the whole experience, from the couples massage at the start to the amazing villa, (beautiful décor, toasty warm, gorgeous views and a lovely spa bath) and then a beautiful star-lit night to walk along the path to the Clubhouse for a lovely meal where the food and staff were awesome. I wish I booked for more than one night awaywith my husband but what an escape it was - left me wanting to come back with family and friends!!

Bring some board games or something as with the bad weather your options are limited after dinner

We only stayed one night and it wasn't enough, we will definitely be back this winter!
The small things make all the difference - slippers, robe, cookies, toiletries and peppermint tea!
The view is amazing and best of all, late check out.

Totally chilled stay in luxury, surrounded by natural beauty. There's so much to do nearby! We don't play golf, and it was very windy, but it didn't get in the way of a lovely stay. I recommend Washpen Falls!

Golf course,food, and the Villa are all wonderful. We enjoyed our stay very much !

All good and excellent

The experience exceeded our expectations, despite them already being exceptionally high.

Yes we did enjoy our 24 hours, but the above, chairs stuck with staples REALLY, carpet needs attention ASAP.
People don't need to see these things at a resort such as Terrace Downs.
Also speaking to another person you have not honoured a voucher.
He was surprised. ALL vouchers even though they have expired have to be honoured, What would Fair Go say to that. Terrace owns should honour this as word does get around.

It's an awesome holiday resort and had a wonderful time with my family. Would love to spend another time during winter.

A beautiful place to stay. The accommodation was good as was the course.
We thought the menu in the main restaurant could have been better with more choice. The snack bar was great.
