Zero customer support

Sadly, my experience with their customer service has led me to cancel the subscription. I have been a printed subscriber for 2 years, receiving the printed magazines in Spain. Worth mentioning that the delivery was always a month or months and a half late, but at least the magazines were delivered. Three months ago I stopped receiving anything, so I contacted their support, received automated emails with no resolution. I started chatting with someone from the support on the app, but they refused to send the missing issues, promised to renew the subscription for free for three months, but never followed through on that promise. Further emails never led to anything. I am a printed subscriber for a reason, and the lack of any effort to resolve the issue was really very frustrating. Reading all the posts here about the lack of any customer support is really disappointing, especially when nothing is being done to fix it. Such a waste of money and time.

Haven't received an issue, cannot get help

We subscribed over three months ago and have not yet received a single issue. We've submitted four customer service requests online asking for help and have not gotten a single response directed to our issue. We've called twice during hours that their call center is supposed to be operating, and the message says they are closed even though it's between 9-4 EST. I guess we will just have to dispute the charge.

Terrible propaganda

Disclaimer *I am MAGA supporting* The Atlantic Is terriblely biased towards the Donald Trump making articles that echoed his "hoax" view on the Epstein files. Despite massive public backlash and confirmation that are in fact real. And currently no justice has been brought forward for the victims and the perpetrators remain unpunished. Being right wings I do not want child trafficking to continue and poison and harm us via the elite.

The articles over the years have been mediocre at best, with recent revelations it's clear that the company is pushing agendas and are being directed by 3rd parties. Zero credibility, they lie and the lies have been proven true.

Left wing extremism, these guys try to say the Epstein was innocent and that it is MAGA trying to target individuals. As most left wingers, the level of delusion, entitlement and BIAS is astounding. If you value news avoid at all costs.

I have a trial going but the Atlantic website keeps telling me I need to sign in because I've already reached my limit of free articles (which is one article for those without a trial). I submitted a ticket but no response. Very disappointing.

I'd be wary of going to their site. As soon as I did it said "The Atlantic wants to connect to nearby devices." This isn't from some site pretending to be them but the site itself. Stay away

The subscription department/service is…

The subscription department/service is completely dysfunctional. It is impossible to reach a human. The response to my completion of the online contact form was meaningless. It's like the whole thing is only bots. I wish I could unsubscribe but hours of trying have gotten me nowhere.

no one ever responds from customer service and we never got a single issue

Something is terribly wrong at this company. They are one of the oldest publications in the united states. They have some of the most well recognized writers and editors. I WANTED to get this magazine. Alas...we never did and although they list 2 "customer service" numbers there is never anyone who answers them, no one responds to emails and chats never get beyond the bot..shame on you The Atlantic!

Predatory subscription practices

If i were only reviewing the staff writing at the Atlantic, this would be a 5 star review. Unfortunately I am writing about their predatory subscrition practices and non-existent/abysmal customer service. Purchased gift suscriptions for my children a year ago. One of them was never claimed. The Atlantic auto-renewed the unclaimed subscription, at a hefty rate increase, and now are nowhere to be found to process refund. Opened multiple support requests and sent multiple emails with no effect. Started dispute process with credit card company to resolve.

Issue International Delivery

I have been a reader of The Atlantic for over five years, but I’ve sadly decided to end my subscription. Since COVID, delivery to Austria and Germany has become increasingly unreliable, and over the past 18 months I haven’t received any magazine issues at all. My emails to customer support have also gone unanswered. If The Atlantic cannot reliably deliver to these countries, I believe it should reconsider offering or charging for this service. It feels ironic that a publication which so often writes about the struggles facing journalists and the challenges of sustaining quality media seems unable to uphold basic standards of customer communication and delivery. Perhaps I’ll try again in a year or two if the international delivery situation improves.

I think it's a very disgusting ploy to…

I think it's a very disgusting ploy to let readers read a half dozen paragraphs in an article then cut off the story saying we need to get a online subscription.It's such a tacky trashy thing to do. If you think you are tantalizing readers keeping them hanging and wanting more you're absolutely mistaken. It turns people off and makes them think in no way do I want to contribute to a company like this.
