Hi Alan, thank you for leaving your review and I am genuinely sorry to hear your African Grey didn't like his food! Greys are notoriously picky, and 9 times out of 10, refusal to eat a new food is down to our lack of understanding, rather than the food iteself. Parrots will not consume something they do not recognise as food, if they have been used to something else entirely their whole lives. New food must be introduced slowly, over time and creatively. I have written. blog post which is displayed quite largely on the home page to help people understand this. If you set your parrot free into the wild tomorrow, you may be surprised to hear he would not survive long, even if surrounded by perfectly edible foods on trees. This is because they do not know it is food. Pouring something brand new in front of a bird, whilst also offering them their usual diet alongside it, will invariably fail. Do have a read of our blog posts, I will pop you an email with the link, and try to understand that parrots aren't like humans, we know when something is food, and when it isn't, they do not.

I’m sorry to hear you feel this way Jackie. All product prices, weights, and ingredient lists are clearly stated on the website before purchase, so there should be no surprises on arrival and no one should feel pressured into buying anything. Was there anything that led you to believe you would be receiving more than the 100g bag of dry mix you ordered and paid for?
This product is made up of 29 individually selected, human-grade ingredients, all hand-packed in small batches rather than bulk-processed or filler-based like 99% of all parrot food on the market. That level of quality, sourcing, and labour is reflected in the price. Our products do not compare to the parrot food you find in pet shops, which are byproducts of other manufacturing processes and extremely low quality, causing long term health issues in parrots. Our food is comparable to organic human food, with the highest standards and a multitude of health benefits. Consider us the Waitrose or M&S of the parrot world. It is OK if you are a Lidl lover.
We completely understand that premium, human-grade nutrition isn’t for everyone, and many people aren't willing to invest in their parrot's long term health with good food, but we’re always transparent so customers can make an informed choice before ordering.

Amazing quality
Lola the tiel loves the blossom mix and practically inhales the sprouting seed mix. The budgies haven't yet taken to it (even blended as a shake over their veg), so if you need product ideas something more tailored to budgies next please.

I have two African Greys and they love all the food I have brought from Aviary foods and they are happier with better plumage too.
It is expensive but you pay for Quality which this is.

At no point did you make contact with us to let us know you did not receive your parcel, and as a result we have not been able to resolve your issue. Excellent food
Excellent food, my parrot especially enjoys the betonite clay. I thoroughly recommend the aviary. The delivery was fast and the customer service I received was excellent. Give them a try you won't be disappointed!

Great healthy food. Very happy Linnies and human
I'm 2 weeks in to serving this new soothing dry mix and seed mix (+ their normal veggie chop, sprouted seed, herbs, little bit of fruit) and my 4 lineolated parakeets are demolishing it. I've tried a dry mix in the past but they just weren't that keen. I've been delighted this time, as there's been no wastage. So cost effective and super healthy at the same time.
