Damaged and Duty Fees

I’m really disappointed with my most recent order. The Catrina doll arrived damaged, and despite following the instructions on their website and emailing about the issue, I still haven’t received any response.
I was also charged unexpected duty fees that I wasn’t made aware of when placing the order. I’ve ordered from this company twice before without any issues or extra fees, so this experience has been very frustrating

After reviewing our records, we can confirm that our customer service team responded to your email promptly upon receipt and remained in communication regarding the issue. As soon as we were notified that the Catrina arrived damaged, we issued a full refund for the product.
Regarding the duty fees charged by UPS, these are import tariffs collected by the U.S. government and assessed by customs authorities. Customs agents determine these charges when a shipment enters the country, and they can vary by shipment, which is why they may not appear on every order. Unfortunately, these fees are not paid to or retained by our company, and therefore, we are unable to refund them.
We sincerely regret that your item arrived damaged and understand how frustrating that can be. While shipping damage is rare, we always do our best to resolve these situations as quickly as possible, and we’re glad we were able to process a refund promptly.
We appreciate your past support of The Catrina Shop and hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future.

Damaged product and Duty fees

I have ordered a few times from the Catrina Shop without any issues but not the case this time around. To begin UPS sent me an email saying I had to pay duty taxes on the shipment, something I never paid on my previous orders. Then when I contacted The Catrina Shop via email to ask about this they never responded. Today I received the Catrina and it is damaged and broken in several places. I have sent them an email just as instructed on their website and still no response Overall just a horrible experience.

Respect for the Customer

We did have an issue with the merchandise. Within 24 hours, our issue answered. This prompt response certainly establishes the vendor as one who respects and really puts the customer first.

Figurine arrived shattered

The figurine arrived shattered.
Not just a simple break that can be glued together but shattered into countless pieces. Such a disappointment after such a long wait.

Beautiful and perfect experience!

I love my Catrina! She arrived on-time, and like so many other reviewers have mentioned, packaged beautifully and perfectly. I've never experienced the level of detail with unboxing instructions--very crystal clear in order to ensure she would be unpackaged safely, without breaking. I ordered a medium Vanessa, she is absolutely stunning. Best gift I could give myself, and even better, she arrived right before Dia de Los Muertos. Muchas Gracias!

Felicia is beautiful

Felicia is beautiful. Was very worried about her long journey to her new home in michigan but she was packed brilliantly, thoughtfully, and safely. Your customer service was prompt and honest and forthright with a response regarding unavoidable ups charge due to tariffs...I didnt like it but I understand and it was explained thoroughly. Note the product arrives with the lingering odor of an oil based sealant Im assuming. I know this will dissipate over time. Purchase experience and product are 10 stars not 5. She is magnificent.

Easy Transaction - BEAUTIFUL Catrinas

The transaction was very easy. My one complaint was that I was not notified when they shipped and that did not seem to be updated when I went to my order information. The Catrinas were very well packaged so no worry about breakage in the shipping process.
That being said the transaction was not complicated for it being international.
The Catrinas themselves are GORGEOUS! Far exceeded what I expected even though the photos of them well represent them. They are just that much better in person. These were a gift for some dear friends after an unfortunate accident where some of their existing Catrinas broke - so it was important that the ones we ordered from the Catrina Shop work out. After seeing these in person I'd be happy to own a pair myself!
