Horrible business. I was under the impression these were handmade luxury collars based in the UK based on the branding and advertising of the company, in addition to the description on the about page - "Our story began with a simple idea - to create fashionable and affordable faux collars that can transform any outfit" - However, the items I ordered were shipped directly from China with Chinese packaging, the collars were very low-quality and have a very strong bleach smell and tons of loose threads. I did a quick search on AliExpress and I found the exact photo matching the image shown on the listing down to the pixel for $1. There's nothing wrong with dropshipping, there are plenty of business like Shein that are very open with how they do it, but it seems very unethical to take a 1$ collar and upsell it for 30 times the price using misleading branding. I have asked them to issue a refund for my order and I will be contacting my card company and filing complaint with the fair trade board in the UK for unethical business.

EDIT: To their credit, they gave me a US address for a return so the cost was not enormous. They also attempted to explain the issue with their China fulfillment company, stating that "Our products are designed by us and manufactured in China, which is standard practice across the fashion industry and allows us to maintain consistent quality and accessible pricing." However, they did not address the identical listings available on AliExpress (just look up "RU Dropshipping Store AliExpress" and you will find them). I replied to their email with a screenshot if the identical listing that I assume they copied from and asked them to explain and then they ghosted me, presumably because they'd realized I'd called them out. Then they flagged my review for defamation but Trustpilot turned them down, presumably because it's obvious that everything I've said here is true. Scummy business with retaliative tactics. Avoid.

Wish I’d read reviews before buying. Placed order on 14th heard nothing since. As yet collar company not responding ☹️I notice they cleverly don’t mention anything about shipping/delivery on their information. Disappointing.

So far, I am so unimpressed!

My order has been ready for days and but not out for delivery. I have emailed them a number of times with zero response 🤷🏻‍♀️.

the website looks very nice, like a small independent company. Then I received my tracking and saw that it comes from Aliexpress...first disappointment. I have just received the order, the 3 collars look nice, so I feel a bit more hopeful. I try the first one. it is more off white than white but it is actually better like this, but it doesn't sit nicely, it's too high up the neck, so I try to arrange it and then one strap breaks! At the first try! So it makes me think that it is actually Ali express quality.
Go ahead if you want something cute that will not last but avoid if you expect independent maker quality

Have amended my original 1 star review. Items arrived this morning. Nicely packaged and the pieces themselves are well made and as ordered. T/Y.

I bought 5 collars the Collar Collection in the November sale as I liked that they had such a good range all on one platform. Although more expensive than other providers, the are all of excellent quality and have washed well. I returned one of them to an address in London, UK, having emailed an actual human being and I've just had the refund within a reasonable number of working days given the holiday. I've knocked one star off as the collars are all a big tight over the bust; I bought these as I can't get shirts to fit across the chest and these are also disappointingly a bit snug across the chest but I can at leaset undo the button for a bit more room! These things are actually not quite as simple an accessory as you might think so I don't begrudge spending £20 on it for the amount of wear. I bought the plain white (nice sharp points channelling Diane Keaton), the humming bird (gorgeous - lots of compliments), the denim high nec, black ruffle and cuffs and the white high neck. I returned the latter as it was too high and haven't worn the ruffle one yet as I think it may also be a bit too high for me.

I received an item that I did not order but not the item that I did order. I emailed as soon as it arrived requesting a refund. No reply. I emailed the next day. No reply. I emailed the next day. No reply. As there is no phone number I would not recommend purchasing any item from this company.

Very disappointed after realising that my collars were sent from Ali Express (as per the parcel track history). After seeing that, I went to Ali Express to look for the prices there; the same 3 collars were 10 times cheaper (less than 2 pounds per collar).
The parcel arrived safely, however, the quality of the fabric is poor, and there were a lot of loose threads.

Ordered 2 collars and cuffs which have never arrived. Messaged but get no response. Very frustrating experience

I received my order in a timely manner; however, the neckline on the items is quite large. I contacted the company twice via email and once through the "contact us" form on their website and received no response. You can only initiate a return by contacting them first, so now I am stuck with a product that does not work for me.

I ordered the "white" Ava collar. It was not the crisp white as shown in the website photo but a dingy cream color. Returns are not simple. They require an email exchange which I did and then as I learned at my local post office, the cost to return this collar from the US to the UK is twice the cost of the item. There is no prepaid label provided for easy downloading, you will bear the significant cost of return postage to London! This is not at all clear when you order. A lousy experience!

I never received my order and I am unable to get a response from their customer service. Will not order from them again. I am in the hole for $66.00

The Collar Collection website gives the impression that this is a British business shipping worldwide. Their Instagram handle is "thecollarcollectionuk" and the account has 8,500 followers. The T&C's on the website are supposedly "in accordance with the laws of [a street address at] LONDON, ENG, SW18 5LJ, United Kingdom." I won't include the address here (you can easily find it on the website) but it appears to be a residential flat, and they don't usually have their own set of laws.

The product images are high quality, and there's an "Our Story" page that suggests the business was started by "fashion enthusiasts" who "create[d] a line of detachable collars" as part of a "mission" to "help women elevate their fashion choices and feel confident in their style." At the bottom of every page, there's an "About the brand" section that says "We embarked on this journey with a distinct vision: to create enduring faux collar designs that transcend fleeting trends, promising cherished pieces for seasons ahead."

The "we" is never identified. The website never states who owns the company or designs the collars.

I ordered several collars and they were sent directly from a factory in China. They were packaged in clear cellophane bags inside a grey plastic satchel with a Chinese shipping label. They were also clearly made of polyester. I did a Google image search and realised the same collars advertised with a full price of £39.99-£49.99 on The Collar Collection's website are available from sites like Temu, Aliexpress and Shein for as little as £2.00. Not just similar collars; identical collars. I felt really stupid.

The collars I received were also very tight. I have a slim neck, but I'm tall, and these collars are obviously made for petite Chinese women. The elastic that should be near the empire waistline according to the images actually goes under the arms in some cases, which is quite uncomfortable. I contacted The Collar Collection to organise a return, and to their credit they gave me a full refund and didn't require me to return the collars, however this is obviously because (a) the postage would have cost more than the collars, and (b) they'd have to disclose the address of a factory in China.

The website is deceptive. The Collar Collection claims it designed and created this range of collars, which is obviously not the case. They don't disclose that collars will be shipped directly to you from the factory in China, and even when they're on sale (which they always are), the collars are priced at up to ten times the retail price on other websites.

The sizing of these collars is very small. The collar fits the neck but doesn’t take into account bust and body size. I have sent three emails requesting help and none have been acknowledged. Worst purchase I have made in many years.

The material the collars are made of is not written anywhere on the collars themselves nor were care labels included in my package..while the collars/dickies are well enough made to work properly, they look very viscose/polyester in real life while in photos the material looks like cotton etc. I won’t buy again and although I searched reviews I did not search well enough on this. It’s a great idea and very useful just wish quality was higher as that affects greatly the whole effect.

These collars are awesome! They make the most ordinary/plain jumpers something else. I originally ordered just one but after receiving it and seeing how lovely it was I had to order a different one. The material is lovely and soft and the are so well made.

I already had a collar which I liked. Sent for second one. When I went to wear it it was too small. I had disposed of packaging etc. Contacted the Collar Collection and they sent me a new collar free of charge. Excellent service. Good quality product. Changes the look of a sweater.

I absolutely adore the collars from The Collar Collection! I have a white classic design and two larger in black & white. They sit really well under tops and knitwear, lifting my outfits instantly. Elegant and stylish. My orders arrived swiftly with regular shipping updates. Thank you so much! Nina

The order took almost 2 weeks to arrive. Sadly the quality does not support the high prices. However positively the fit on all 3 items ordered were perfect.
