Bought a car for 1495. No service history. No warranty. Cash or bank transfer only. Needed 3 new tyres and new battery. How it hot through the mot with faulty tyres amazes me.

I'm a learner driver and I was looking for a reliable car to practice outside of lessons, found a car on auto trader and made our way to the garage to have a look. Everything about the add and upon first meeting the blokes there, everything seemed legit so we put a deposit down on a car to later pick up. They had put me on a fresh MOT, service and done a valet in the time we waited which we thought was great.
These men seem to have the gift of the gab when it comes to sales.
We collected the car and I went out to practice my driving and first of all the power steering went on me but later came back and the car was revving on itself without any pedals being pressed.
I'm no mechanic but this seemed to be a battery issue, so on Monday morning we dropped the car back at the garage (only had the car for 2 weeks) only to be told there is nothing they will do, not even look at it because it was a private sale.

So now we are stuck fixing a 2 grand car and since purchasing ive seen the car was advertised on a different site for £500 less than we brought it for.( the car didn't have a price on it when we turned up to look)
And upon further inspection of the car there is a faulty pipe with a leak that also needs fixing and we've already put in a new battery.
Don't waste your time or money on this garage, selling faulty cars to people that don't have a clue about cars and won't accept accountability claiming its a private sale. If that was the case then it shouldn't have been sold off their forecourt.
And they can reply to this review claiming I'm a bad customer like they have to others but I have to let people know my experience with this garage, even if it saves one person the stress or anxiety of purchasing a faulty car.
