Great Service & SEO Foundation

Over the years, we had used thehoth for basic backlink opportunities. As a small business, we did not have the capacity to build outreach. During this time, we've also had 3 account manager and all of them were well spoken, trained, and knowledgeable in SEO. I am not expecting the best SEO expertise of the best, but their level of service was outstanding - well trained. You may have to be the one to initiate routine check ins but they are there at your service.

HothX is a scam, don't buy it. They are of the worst SEO agencies out…

One of the worst SEO agencies out there, I had to shut down my business because I spent so much money on SEO without getting any results at all.

Here's the scam that HothX does: when you sign up, they give you $200-300 each month in free credits.

What's the catch? If you decide to cancel, then you need to return credits for each month. This means that if, after 5-6 months, you're not getting results, then you can't cancel since the cost of cancellation is about the same as continuing.

Not only that, after 11 months of trying HothX, my business literally went bankrupt because I was spending over $1,000/month on SEO that resulted in 0 sales per month. Compared to my ads, I was consistently getting sales. PLEASE STAY away if you love your business.

First, our HOTH X team is committed to transparency regarding how our contract and cancellation policies work, and we apologize if there was any confusion during your onboarding. We strive to explain the contract details upfront and encourage our clients to ask questions to ensure there’s clarity.

Second, we worked diligently to accommodate your specific requests and goals throughout your campaign. Early on, we offered a month-to-month campaign to better align with your budget. We recognize that financial difficulties can be stressful, which is the reason we made efforts to offer solutions, including downgrading the contractual campaign costs and encouraging ongoing discussions with your Campaign Manager. Despite these efforts, it appears there was a disconnect in communication and expectations.

Lastly, SEO is a long-term strategy that can take time to show results. While we understand this might not align with every business’ goals or timeline, we’re always available to review campaigns, adjust strategies, and explore solutions to improve outcomes.

Didnt show up to schedule call and continued to harrass me

I scheduled a call with them and they didnt show up then they wouldnt stop emailing me. I asked Ryan Pantaleano to stop emailing me and he just kept going.

More Simplified and Less Cumbersome

While I have not used the Hoth yet, I have seen a video and explanations regarding the free logo maker, which I am anxious to use. I also am looking forward to using the SEO training that I will be able to use for my site and possibly for other sites as well. All in all, the Hoth looks like an excellent alternative for other sites that may be more complicated and cumbersome.

Questionable Links and Inflated Metrics

The Hoth promises a magic bullet for SEO with their Hoth X service, in reality, it's just a spam links service.

The links are low quality. Don't be fooled by their inflated DR scores – run any proposed links through Semrush or a similar tool, and you'll see the truth.

These sites had minimal traffic and appeared to be built solely for selling backlinks.

This whole experience was a complete waste of time and money.

I am sorry to hear you were unhappy with your experience with the HOTH, and would like to make things right here.

We take link quality very seriously, and are constantly improving upon not only our QA processes, but our publisher inventory as well. We have multiple proactive audits in place to ensure that we're doing our best to stay ahead of downed links, as well as keeping our inventory within internal traffic and quality requirements.

We do not inflate our DR scores. We use AHREFs for DR as we find it to be the most accurate. It's also stated on our site that we use AHREFs for DR https://www.thehoth.com/link-outreach/?.

That being said, we are always happy to look into any links that client's are questioning the quality of, and will certainly always provide replacements for these links if they miss the mark as well as auditing the publishers/removing the publishers if needed.

We replace HOTH X links for up to a year after purchase. If you have any links you'd like us to look into please feel free to reach out.

Corporate Greed is Getting The Best of Them

I am pretty tired of the hoth. They used to be a good company, however corporate greed got the best of them.

Previously they allows extra time to allow you to review extra articles. That was fine and they really worked with you. Now it seems they just want to push things as fast as they can. NEWS FLASH. One cannot have high speed and quality work at the same time.

From they they added the management fees to campaigns if you weren't in in a contract, okay, I get it you're wanting to push people to contracts BUT NOW! they completely removed the lower tiered HOTH x campaigns pushing me out of the market. I spend 60k a year with them and not any more!

Regarding the auto-approval feedback, please know this timeline was implemented in order to reduce production delays, and avoid campaigns falling behind in terms of seeing results.
The intention here is to not speed through things, but to ensure blog work is getting completed in a timely manner. Consistent blog work and back-linking are essential to seeing results with our work.

I can assure you that we have not been sacrificing the quality of our articles in this process. If anything, our blogger team has more processes than ever in place for quality control checks.

Warning: My $6000 Lesson with THEHOTH


"I have utilized THEHOTH services for a year, investing over $6000 in hopes of improving traffic to my website. Unfortunately, the results fell far short of expectations, reaching a maximum of 7 visitors per month, with an alarming downward trend to 1 visitor. I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the results seen in your HOTH X Campaign.

Please know we take client feedback very seriously, and I have ensured this feedback is passed along to management.

It takes time and consistency to see results from SEO work. Depending on a site's budget, niche, and existing standing, it can take upwards of a year to see results from back-linking and content creation. Additionally, there are a multitude of external factors that can effect campaign performance.

After taking a deeper look into your campaign, I do see that we were working with a lower budget in a very competitive industry (game selling - some competitors being Amazon/Walmart). This combined with other external factors, likely impacted the progression of the campaign.

Some other external factors besides budget and niche that could have influenced this campaign are; aspects of the site layout being changed, the rebrand to a more competitive niche, and the recent google core updates that occurred during the campaign.

That being said, we did our best to optimize the campaign during these external fluctuations. We did see some initial increases in keyword ranking/organic traffic, but understand that these were effected by the google core updates. Please know that Tatyana and our team worked closely on this campaign to try and ensure our strategy was in alignment with best optimization practices.

However, we certainly understand the frustration with the results seen and would like to reach out with a goodwill gesture.

They did not want to allow for us extra…

They did not want to allow for us extra time to review the articles (55 pieces of content) and rushed to auto-approve them so that it won't be possible to review and/or reject the articles. The articles all ended up just rubbish and couldn't be uploaded to our website, so we asked to cancel the account and make a refund which they refused. We began to take actions against them and started a bank dispute. if this will be resolved, this comment will be deleted

We received acknowledgement and acceptance of our auto-approval process from you. We accommodated you by moving the renewal date several months to allow for time to review and make adjustments to the first batch of articles.

Moreover, our auto-approval process is outlined in Section 17 of our TOS https://www.thehoth.com/terms-of-service/.

You had signed a 6 month contractual agreement with us, but ceased payment after two months despite the service being under contract.

The first two months of work had been fully completed as promised and we are unable to provide refunds for the work provided.

However, as a show of goodwill due to the inability to continue billing, we have suspended the campaign and contract.

We wish you the best of luck on your SEO journey.
