A beautiful service
I would recommend this service to anyone who wants to let their beloved pet go. Our dog was a big old guy and we didn't want the struggle and stress of getting him to the vet. We had a super kind and patient vet come to the house, give us time with him, gently sedate him so he had no fear or upset and he drifted off to sleep. It is still emotional and painful, but the ease for the animal is everything. It felt respectful and loving and allowed us to say goodbye in our home where he was cosy and happy.

Alix our Vet made an unimaginable moment and task a kind, compassionate and caring experience for our beautiful boy. She was on time, extremely discreet and respectful towards us and our boy and made the experience as calm as it possibly could have been. I was hysterical the phone operator got back to me within 30 minutes with a lovely vet called Lauren she was kind patient and didn’t rush, it was traumatic but peaceful ending for my best friend German shepherd max I did have to help transfer but the vet was very understanding

Simple process handled with care and compassion
I had devastating news late on a Wednesday, l called the Kindest Goodbye that night and arranged a home euthanasia for the following day.
Dr Chris was caring and compassionate, talked me through the process every step of the way. They transported my beloved dog to Lawnswood crematorium for me. He was returned to me today by the Lawnswood team. The process was all taken care of for me after that initial phone call. Highly recommend if you are in the unfortunate position of having to say goodbye to a pet.

We didn’t know about this service before our vet recommended it. We are extremely grateful they did as we didn’t cause our beloved friend anymore undue stress. The vet attending was compassionate and supportive and gently explained the process. Would highly recommend.

I made a decision and a phone call…
I made a decision and a phone call later was talking to a lovely lady who helped me navigate a plan to put our non social dog to sleep. The vet came out the next day and she was excellent- she knew and respected what we wanted and was never in the way.

A difficult but kind, caring, loving goodbye to my beautiful fur baby!
My experience was truly comforting at a very difficult, sad time. I felt kindness and understanding and my sweet cat passed peacefully with much caring, love and dignity. Rachael was truly a blessing! I would thoroughly recommend 'The Kindest Goodbye' when a difficult decision has to be made.

I cannot rate " The Kindest Goodbye " highly enough. From the first contact they have been absolutely brilliant. From the moment that Dr Pat (vet ) arrived she made everyone feel comfortable and at ease with what was happening. She bonded with our dog, who doesn't usually take to strangers. The whole process was done with so much love and compassion which helped us be at peace. Dr Pat went above and beyond in all areas , it felt like she was an old friend visiting. Best decision we made was to say…
Best decision we made was to say goodbye to our beloved beautiful boy at home and not a vet clinic.He was in one of his favourite spots and as heartbreaking as it was to say goodbye, he was calm and comfortable throughout the whole process. His younger fur brother was also able to be there with the rest of our family. Dr Bec was so great and compassionate to our situation. Rest in Peace my beautiful boy.

Nothing short of outstanding
Never having to face making this gut-wrenching decision before, I was completely lost and had no idea what to do or expect. From those who answer the phone and emails, through to the vet who attended our home, the Kindest Goodbye were nothing short of phenomenal.
At a time when your head a foggy mess and you can't think straight, the level of clear information on the website and ease of booking is outstanding. It's enough to understand the process and your options, without overwhelming you.
The pre-vet attendance questionnaire is a beautiful touch, allowing you to choose how you want the process to happen in your home. I have a second dog who doesn't do well with strangers, but it was important to me that she have some time and visibility of the process. Being able to articulate this request before the vet arrived was really comforting.
Loss is crushing, nothing and no one can change that. But having the ability to prepare for it with the outstanding care and support from the Kindest Goodbye makes a world of difference.
