Outdoor lights are not suitable for outdoor use - they rust within 3 months even while installed in a non-coastal area in NZ. Went' back to supplire who simply said rust is normal. Worksafe NZ opened... Voir plus

A Disappointing Experience Defined by Poor Design and Absurd Customer Service

I rarely find occasion to leave negative reviews, but the profound disappointment I experienced with this company compels me to warn future consumers. I strongly advise against purchasing from this website, where reality fails to match the online representation.

My intention was to purchase two black can lights. Upon navigating the site, I selected the image clearly displaying the black product. Unbeknownst to me, their interface requires a redundant, secondary confirmation via a dropdown menu; otherwise, the order defaults to an entirely different color. In an era where efficient, intuitive digital design is the standard, this convoluted system feels less like an oversight and more like a trap for the busy consumer.

As a consequence of this flawed user experience, I received two white lights that are utterly useless for my needs.

When I contacted customer service to rectify this honest mistake, the response was met with a complete absence of accountability or professional grace. I was told that the error was entirely mine and that no assistance would be offered. Most egregiously, the representative condescendingly informed me that my only two options were to either "use them" or "keep them."

Such an arrogant response is entirely unacceptable from any reputable business. I am leaving this one-star review to ensure other buyers remain vigilant against their deceptive website design and their dismissive approach to customer care.

Do NOT use this service if you are in New Zealand. It is a drop shipping from Australia. So even if it says it will ship tomorrow from Auckland. IT WILL NOT. They also don't reply to customer service requests about where your order is. I have now been waiting two weeks, with the package saying it has been delivered. Though it was last tracked to Auckland. And my address is in Wellington.

THIS IS THE WORST SERIVCE I HAVE EVER RECIEVED. DO NOT USE!!!!!!!

AVOID!!!!

DO NOT USE
I ordered 4 lamps and 1 light bulb
The light bulb never arrived
both lamps did NOT look like their photos and are unusable.

Contacted their customer service and they would only accept a return if you pay for shipping yourself + they keep a 20% restocking fee.

AVOID!!

NZ$2k stock order, not shipped after 26 days, still "coordinating"

Paid in full NZ$2k for items advertised by them as "In Stock" but received no shipping notification. Fifteen days passed by with no contact at all. When queried, I received a confusing reply which dealt with another item (which they admitted they could not supply for 18 weeks - another story). After clarification, and several more days with no replies to my emails, by then 23 days after payment in full, all they would say was that they were "currently coordinating with our designated team regarding your request and will provide you with an update as soon as we have more information". Now another three days of silence despite follow up emails.

“Disappointing experience

“Disappointing experience. Item arrived not as expected and there was absolutely no flexibility or reasonable return option offered. Customer service felt dismissive once the sale was completed. Buyers should be very careful before purchasing, because if something goes wrong, you may be stuck with it.

Poor service

Poor service. Light Damaged (scratched) in the post. Not packed well (no padding inside box) I had paid the insurance to cover this but they will not replace, just offered an $8 refund (10%). Inside of light different colour on website. Took over two weeks for the light to arrive. Will not buy from this company again. Disappointed.

The product description on the website was comprehensive which made it easy to choose the right product. Delivery was very quick. Excellent experience.

mark your product properly

the light we bought works well but is a sensor light and nowhere on the packaging does it say this. I would not have ordered it a we need a constant source of light. As it is not usable as a sensor light the electrician had to somehow block this which cost time and money. Good thing the electrician noticed as he was wiring it in. Electrician searched al packaging and nowhere does is say it is a sensor light. he's very unimpressed.

Using "dark patterns" on web site

Using "dark patterns" on web site. Added "TLO Shipping Protection" to my order basket without explanation. asked 4X on a single order if I wanted to subscribe to your marketing newsletter. After double checking order, and seeing unknown item added, I asked to cancel order within 5 minutes. They did give a full refund ...but they said if was one-off, for me only, and implied they were doing me a favor because their policy was store credit. "Store credit only" is illegal, because "dark patterns" and unexpected additions explicitly require full refunds always. Store policies do not overrule Australian consumer laws.

Customer Service call = A long wait for no answers!

After I filled my online basket with 5 items, I called customer service with a few questions on one their products. This turned into one of those calls where you are not sure if you are being understood. I tried to explain slowly & carefully, then waited on hold while they checked with 'the warehouse'. Eventually, the one answer I got didn't make sense. I couldn't get any further clarification so I ended the call. Overall a very frustrating experience. Don't waste your time with their customer 'service'.

Buyer beware and stay claer of this…

Buyer beware and stay claer of this company!! After ordering a light that was back ordered twice and changing to another light that was in stock when i ordered it, only to be told after chasing them that it was now on also on back order, is really really poor service. Hard to contact them. No return phone calls and I am now trying to get a refund. Just steer clear!
