Good but not very thorough. Everything was put away nicely. Vacuuming was not very thorough - still saw visible pieces of debris on floor that should have been picked up. There was no checklist inside... Voir plus

Overall I’m pleased when I come home

Overall I’m pleased when I come home to a clean apartment. It just doesn’t feel like a deep clean. I pick up pretty darn good before they come, but I don’t think they move any thing on surfaces that need cleaned. For the price I’d want it to be a little better. Plus, i think the staff is only allowed an hour to clean which is crazy.

We have clear standards for our Deep Clean which includes areas and details such as wiping applicances, cleaning baseboards and vacuuming upholstery. The standard cleaning time for a 1 bedroom Deep Clean is 2 hours and 15 minutes. I am sorry that your home did not receive the level of care we strive to provide. It was awful- I tried to adjust my plan…

It was awful- I tried to adjust my plan after our first clean but platform was inflexible so I cancelled my plan altogether and they wouldn’t refund at ALL. I even tried to complain to my credit card company but Minte fought back and ultimately I was not reimbursed. I wouldn’t recommend this service to ANYONE.

High-Quality Services at Reasonable Rates!

We've used 3 other companies in the Crystal City (VA) area and The Minte has proven to be the most reliable while still being affordable. We've had about 5 cleaning services provided and I'd rate 4/5 of those as "Outstanding!" and 1/5 as "Sufficient/good". Each staff member that has gone through our place has been professional and kind. There were some scheduling hiccups but I'd say it was more my fault and and the limitations of their reservation system (I wanted first Mondays of each month). In any event, The Minte has always been accommodating of my schedule and to any last-minte changes that needed to be made.

Given that this is the 4th company we've been through in the last year, it's safe to say I have high standards so please consider this review well-vetted.

One of our value propositions is making this a great, sustainable role for our housekeepers. As such, we make sure they can spend nights and weekends with their families. Okay service, less than okay cleaning

The hotel service is totally fine, not amazing but worth the price in my opinion. The app is good, booking changes easy to make, and the convenience of them working with my apartment building is great.

However, I opted for the "deep clean" service twice. Both times I found it to be woefully insufficient. It was seemingly no different from the hotel service, and basic things like wiping down the bathroom mirror were not done. That's something I'd expect from the hotel service, let alone the deep clean. I also had an incident where the person cleaning my apartment accidentally turned on the burner on my stove and then left. This melted some drinks I had on the counter, they leaked everywhere, plastic melted into my stove, etc. I reported that this happened and received zero communication about it.

All in all, it's hard to recommend the service. The trappings are well done. It's easy to set up, convenient, and seemingly well managed. But the cleaning just isn't up to snuff, and that's what I'm using it for. If I'm paying hundreds of dollars for deep cleans, very basic cleaning things need to be done, at bare minimum. The quality control on the cleaning staff is currently the weak point, I assume. Hopefully that changes as the company grows.

Good service, Shady business

Great model and cleaners were all excellent! The company has poor, even rude middle management with poor communications. The company also appears to be shortchanging their workers’ tips and misrepresenting what they pay them (only $2/hour extra). I'm concerned staff members were fired wrongfully for raising concerns about both.

Thank you for the note. It gives us a chance to clarify. We have never claimed to tip $2 per hour; our policy is that tips are welcome but not required, as our housekeepers make a base wage and have benefits.

We love when residents leave tips. In the future, they will even be able to do so on the app. As of now, tips are direct from residents to housekeepers; while we never would, there also is no way we even could shortchange someone. Hope this clears things up!
