Delivery was super quick but the item was badly damaged. I believed they sent the trees in boxes based on their “pledge” and the pics they put up but they actually come in bags. This was a wedding gift and I was embarrassed to give over this thing. I emailed them and they literally replied “we wish we could hand deliver every tree”, didn’t actually deal with the issue. They know it happens.

I recently ordered a tree for my Mum’s birthday, but I completely messed up the delivery address. I managed to input a confusing mix of both my address and my sister's address, and since we live 200 miles apart, there was no way for the courier to guess where it was actually supposed to go!

I tried to contact both The Present Tree and Royal Mail to fix it, but because it was already out for delivery, it couldn't be changed. The original order ended up stuck in the wilderness due to my mistake.

Even though this was 100% my fault, The Present Tree went above and beyond to make things right. They sent out a brand new tree to my Mum’s correct address free of charge.

I want to give a special shout out to Victoria. Her customer service was truly exceptional - she was helpful, understanding, and incredibly professional throughout the process.

I can't thank you enough for saving my Mum's birthday gift. I’ll definitely be shopping here again!

You're buying the packaging. These 'trees' are worth a maximum of £25 retail including delivery but you'll end up paying £50. Not worth it.

Orange tree arrived hanging out of its pot. Clearly had been potted up only a short time before despatch to make it look like it was growing in a bigger pot than was actually the case. Packaging is hopelessly inadequate to properly secure the plant during transit. They just use a rather expensive looking cardboard tube and stupidly believe that the carrier (Royal Mail in our case) is going to keep the parcel upright. Advised the about the problem and it was as if someone called Chase couldn't really care less. AVOID!!!

Ordered in January for a February delivery. Had to make a few changes to the delivery which we done straight away. The Olive tree that arrived for my Dad's partners birthday was lovely. Well presented and no damages. I will definitely be buying again.

Very poor value for money. The trees delivered are so immature and tiny (twig). For what they charge £50 you could buy in a nursery for £5.00. If you send as a gift the recipient will be very disappointed

I have now ordered from here a number of times and have had exceptional service each time. Recipients have been really pleased with the gifts.
More recently I made an order in the busy run up to Christmas and a maple tree was delivered as priority.
Highly recommend for any occasion

100% The best present you can buy. I bought my wife a coffee tree gift hamper. It arrived fit and well with everything you need to care for it.
The package is well designed and made with quality.

Please avoid this company. Promised delivery before Christmas and mislead about what has been going on. Messages ignored and excuses galore!

I was sent a ‘cherry tree’ as a gift. Which is actually Prunus (yes, same family as cherries, as wolves are related to domestic dogs) lusitanica Augustifolia, commonly known as Portuguese Laurel. Which is hardly a tree unless you grow it as a standard which barely qualifies, does not have cherries, just small round fruits, and worst of all can be bought in a 2l pot (a lot bigger than this one) for around £6, as opposed to the £50 this company is charging. False advertising, huge overpricing, pure scam in pretty packaging. Absolutely not recommended.

I ordered a mini oak tree in a pot as a gift. The pictures on the website looked beautiful, so I assumed the tree would arrive looking similar. Although there was a note mentioning that “this deciduous tree naturally sheds its leaves every autumn and will remain in its dormant phase all winter,” it didn’t make it clear how bare and lifeless the tree would actually look on arrival.
When the recipient sent me a photo, the difference was massive — it was quite embarrassing, especially since it was meant as a thoughtful gift. I understand it’s a live plant and that this is part of nature, but the presentation online is misleading. The company should include realistic photos of how the tree looks during autumn and winter so customers know what to expect.
They did offer a return, but since it was a gift, it would have been even more awkward to ask the recipient to send it back. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Excellent customer service. Great present idea , box damaged in transit but tree was fine. Issued with a refund voucher. I would definitely use again.

Customer service is fabulous. Our original plum tree sadly did not thrive but as soon as we contacted them many months after delivery they immediately arranged a replacement.
When Royal Mail delivered the replacement to the wrong house they sent out another.
The leaf spray has boosted many of their existing trees too!
Packaging is beautiful and my in-laws are very happy!

The wild plum tree arrived looking rather sorry for itself. I contacted The Present Tree and sent a photo. A (much healthier!) replacement was sent promptly and without quibble. Thank you for very polite and patient customer service.

Myself and my cousin both ordered trees as gifts. I ordered first (well in advance but set to be delivered a few days before) and he thought it was a great idea for his parents. I had a myrtle tree to be delivered to my grandparents.
His delivery was fine. Mine was late for Christmas which was very embarrassing to be empty handed on Christmas day. When it turned up 3 days later all seemed fine. When I asked my grandparents months later as I assumed it was going well, they told me the tree had in fact arrived dead but they didn't want to tell me and upset me. Very disappointed.

I received a lovely wild plum tree in June 2024 as a birthday gift and it is flourishing nicely in a large pot, yes it may be delivered as a small like twig, however what do people expect when it’s delivered in the post. Totally have no complaints whatsoever and felt I had to write this review due to the many negative reviews I’ve read. Thank you The Present Tree, Cheryl from West Yorkshire

The quick email response is the only positive thing I have experienced. I brought my mother who lives near four hours away one of their trees for mother's day. All I can say is for £44 pounds I got a stick with three tiny roots on it.

Tiny twig arrived - very embarrassed to have sent it as a gift - I could have found a bigger sapling in the wild.
Suggest change of business bans to ‘Tiny twig present’ and to charge £10 all inclusive not £44 plus postage !
I am sending it back they can plant their pretty box - the trees are for the garden and should be that size not for dinner table candle 🕯️ decoration!

Only giving a 1 star rating because I can't give 0. Product is nothing like the advertised tree and yes I know that all trees are different but I did not expect a tiny twig with no sign of life. £52 including delivery is ridiculous....I like to support new businesses but will now actually support my local garden centre. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!!
