We purchased our house with them in 2020, due to their professionalism and how they treated us as a buyer we decided to use them to sell the same house in 2024. Again, I was impressed with their communication and the advice they provided. I never felt pushed into a course I didn’t want to take and when I accepted an offer on the house they saw it through to completion with the new buyers without issue.

Whilst my purchase didn't complete, this was only due to issues further up the chain. My dealings with Kevin I could not fault his friendliness and communication were excellent. Kevin responded to calls quickly and kept me updated throughout the process. He chased daily with solicitors and unfortunately issues beyond his control meant I needed to withdraw from the purchase, I was in a position of urgency to move and the issues further up the chain meant there was no guarantee of timespans. Unfortunately this happens and it was only when legal/solicitor issues arose 3 months into the purchase that I had to make the decision to withdraw. My experience with property explorer was a positive one, from arranging viewings, emails and being kept in the loop throughout the process. Thank you.

Our landlords told us in May that they might have to consider selling the house at the end of July if interest rates on their mortgage stayed high. In August, I called Property Explorer to see if there had been any update with this as we had heard nothing from them or the landlords, and we were told that yes, the landlords were planning on selling the house. This naturally was very worrisome news, but the response I got from Wendy from Property Explorer over the phone was akin to "this happens all the time, why are you asking so many questions about it?" As if I was inconveniencing and annoying her by checking if we were going to be kicked out of our house at some point soon. We were then assured by our landlords (who we'd had a friendly relationship with until then) that they were going to try and sell the house to investors only to begin with, as they had been assured by Property Explorer that they had plenty of landlords on their books who might be willing to buy with us in situ. A photographer soon came round to take some pictures of the house and lo and behold, a few days later there was a listing on Rightmove for anyone to buy - no mention of investors only, and indeed, by that time I'd already received a call from Rachel from sales asking about scheduling viewings. When I later asked Wendy if it was a landlord coming to view, she had no idea at all and suggested I talk to Rachel. Instead I called the landlord, who sounded just as baffled as I was about the open listing, and he said his wife would speak to the agency. A couple of hours later, we heard that the listing was going ahead as is, as were the viewings, as apparently "no investors on their books were interested because of the new tenant laws coming into effect soon." What total and utter sh*te. There do still seem to be landlords renting properties after all. Then there was the agency having the wrong key to the property to let viewers in on multiple occasions (it seems they couldn't get it fixed the first time around) and even having the nerve to ask my fiancée to leave work mid morning to come and let one of their agents in for a viewing. I even had to let the carpet cleaners in myself and arrived late to work in the process because they were given the wrong key by the agency. The whole experience just smacked of incompetence, lies and a shocking lack of empathy, like we were just some annoying problem that needed to be gotten rid of. Maybe they were right - there were at least ten viewings while we were still living there with no offers, and it sold lightning quick after we moved out. You got your commission after all - happy days.

Very easy to deal with and always helpful but I don’t think the office move will do them any favours, people like to wander in off the street and that’s not possible now.
