2 hours wasted

This website is designed well and allows therapists to provide detailed information on their specialties, but while creating a profile you will likely get signed out with none of the information you inputted saved. It’s very problematic considering how time consuming this process can be.

Good amount of leads

Even though the company is not perfect - once I had a billing issue and they did not respond to my email. However, I like it best so far from all the others as I got the most leads compared to some of other similar professional directories. My rating is 3.5 but there was not an option. They need to have more timely and more organized customer service and billing perhaps have a chat option 24/7.

Non-Stop Spam Since Signing Up

Echoing everyone else's feedback about false advertising, profile not showing up in searches despite paying the $30/month membership, and no referrals, but ADDING that I've gotten non-stop spam and possible scams since signing up. I'll get emails from google accounts asking about my practice that feel robotic and fake so I'll send referrals, then I'll get an identical robotic email from a different google address right after. Literally as though it had been copied and pasted with word-for-word matching messages. Friends and colleagues have given feedback that it sounds like a bot trying to spike therapyden numbers to make it look like clinicians are getting a lot of responses to their profiles. Also when you cancel, you don't finish out your month of membership benefits you already paid for, you immediately revert to your free profile. Cool!

The vast majority of our users do not experience spam issues. However, we have received email feedback indicating that some users have encountered spam and automated messages. To address this, we have recently invested in two new protection measures designed to filter unwanted messages and secure communications.

We take feedback regarding profile visibility very seriously. Our traffic and keyword positions are publicly available through tools such as SEMrush, so you can see that we are among the top three leaders in the therapists niche. We continually invest in our SEO team, which is why most of our users enjoy excellent visibility and regular referrals, resulting in a strong ROI. While a few isolated technical issues may occur, we are always working to improve our system to ensure every profile is showcased according to our high quality standards.

Could you please confirm whether you fully completed your profile when you were a premium subscriber? A complete profile is essential for optimal referencing.

I have taken note of your feedback regarding the immediate loss of paid benefits upon cancellation and have forwarded it to our IT team for further review.

Not a free service. 2/5 for false advertising.

Therapy Den claimed I could create a free profile. After I spent two days working on it and tried to publish it, they told me that my profile would not appear in searches unless I paid $30 a month. Psychology Today costs the same and has a much higher volume of traffic, don't waste your money here.

To clarify, TherapyDen does offer a completely free profile option allowing therapists to create and list their practice. However, enhanced visibility in internal search results is a feature included in our premium subscription so the premium members can have more referrals. Clearly indicated during the signup process.
But even the free profiles are appearing in the Google search results.

We consistently invest in our platform to provide therapists with strong visibility and valuable client referrals. Your feedback helps us improve our communication regarding free and premium features.

I concur with what others are saying…

I concur with what others are saying and would add that I signed up for a $10 membership which I see being charged to my account at $30. Absolutely NO LEADS have come through them. I suggest therapists use psychology today. I’ve gotten a few referrals from them over the years. Stay away from therapy den. I’m not finding my profile showing up where it should. RUN AWAY FAST!

They push online therapists

They allow therapists to list for free, but two weeks later the in-person listings are all gone, and there's a push to online therapists instead. My free profile, and the others that were listed in my area, have all disappeared.

While free profiles are indexed and can appear in Google searches, they are not featured in TherapyDen’s internal search results. No way to contact Therapy Den

No way to contact Therapy Den. They do a poor job of letting you know which counselors are accepting clients. You'll probably waste your time.

We resolved those two issues a long time ago. We now respond to every email within 48 hours, and we require therapists to indicate whether they are accepting new clients.

Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for users to connect with therapists. Every profile includes a contact form and current availability information, and we continuously work to improve the clarity and accessibility of this information.

We appreciate your input and hope you’ll consider giving TherapyDen another try.

They discriminate and falsely market their service

This is a free listing for therapists , coaches or counselors in any field or background. They invited a known person to list and probably to get more people to signup at their site. Then they discriminated in her education in offering others to find counseling or therapy in any field then discriminated the ones who are certified vs licensed. Which they are both or separate They got advertised on a high traffic influencer and then the profile was rated five star and without notice the profile was not there this is not fair marketing law practice. Rude and Unprofessional
