I had two jumpers with moth holes repaired by Lyudmilla, and she completely revived them. I’m so grateful to be able to enjoy these much-loved items again.

The Seam connected me with such talented artist both times. However, when it came to tracking down a missing parcel, they did not respond at all. Lyudmilla made multiple trips to her local office and spent time calling DPD, but DPD was no help either.

By pure luck, my parcel eventually arrived, but with an additional postage fee, even though Lyudmilla had already paid for postage when sending it.

I would recommend this service to anyone looking to restore much-loved items. However, if you are sending something sentimental, there is a risk that it could get lost in transit, and the only person who may help you is the repairer. As they are not the postage account holder, they cannot raise an investigation directly. The Seam did not seem to care or willing to do anything to help finding the parcel or appear to want to any action to improve their posting service.

I honestly can’t recommend Paola highly enough.

I had a brand new pair of Manolo Blahnik Swan pumps in deep cranberry satin that I desperately wanted to wear for my wedding. The white version hasn’t been available for years, and after contacting countless cobblers, restorers and luxury shoe specialists around the world, I mostly received generic responses along the lines of “just buy a similar pair” or suggestions to try dyeing them instead.

Paola was the first and only person who truly understood the vision. She came back with a detailed, thoughtful plan explaining how the shoes could be fully recovered properly, including carefully removing and reapplying the crystal appliqué. Her confidence and expertise immediately stood out.

Throughout the process, communication was excellent. I was kept updated when the shoes arrived, when work began, and throughout each stage of the restoration, which made sending such a special pair of shoes away feel much less daunting.

I didn’t have enough fabric leftover from my dress alterations, so Paola even sourced a satin herself and somehow managed to match it beautifully to my gown. The final result is genuinely unbelievable. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are second to none. It
feels as though every stitch has been individually considered.

The shoes look completely flawless, like they were originally made this way. I genuinely can’t believe these are the same cranberry shoes I sent off. They feel incredibly special to me, and I cannot wait to wear them walking down the aisle.

Another great experience with The Seam. This time Katarina M repaired a leather & fabric shoulder bag.

The repair was a little difficult to describe / show via photos so I had a helpful exchange with Katarina once she had seen the item. She gave me different options and quotes which I appreciated. The work was sympathetically done and delivered in time.

Camila did a lovely job on my vintage England shirt. It had a few awkward bits that needed sorting, the armpits had been sewn up by a previous owner, and it also needed invisible repairs on the shoulder and cuff area.

She fixed everything brilliantly and the invisible repairs look great. The shirt has come back looking so much better, while still keeping that original vintage feel, which was the main thing for me as a collector.
I’m always a bit nervous sending old football shirts off for repair, but Camila was great throughout and communication was spot on from start to finish.

Would definitely recommend her to anyone needing repairs on vintage clothing. Thanks again - 5 stars!

I had inherited an old beige Celine triple cross body bag, it was quite tired and old.

I was matched by The Seam with Tessa A; we exchanged messages & I met with her briefly to give her my bags which gave us the opportunity to discuss her ideas in finishes and ideas on how best to proceed.

Tessa is incredibly kind, considerate and helpful, she was kind enough to tell me how she planned to resuscitate my handbag and how. Her knowledge of repair work is exceptional.

A vintage Vivienne Westwood jumper that I'd had for twenty odd years got caught in a zipper, leaving a nasty tear. I found The Seam online, and was able to post the details of the repair quickly and easily. I was put in touch with Lyudmilla, one of their experts, who gave me a very reasonable estimate upfront. Sent off the garment registered delivery, and received it back a few weeks later, looking as good as new. Lyudmilla kept me posted on every stage of the process, great communication throughout, and I'm absolutely delighted with her work. Would recommend The Seam to anyone for professional work, ease of use and great customer service.

Nicola P was fantastic and fixed my jumper brilliantly! It's taken ages for me to get round to writing this review but I was very nervous about sending it off because of it being my favourite jumper. Nicole did an amazing job and fixed my jumper perfectly!

I used this service by The Seam to repair a hole in my husband’s lined sweater. I had thought that it was possibly beyond repair due to the size of the hole. Having contacted The Seam, and after providing an image and détails of the damage I was put in touch was one of their wonderful and skilled clothing repairers.

I simply packaged it up and sent it off. Once it had arrived at its destination I was updated by Theo that it had been received. After they had performed, what can only be described as a remarkable repair, I was once again contacted to let me know the sweater had been dispatched.

My husband (and I) are utterly delighted with the result as it would have cost more than £200 to replace this garment. The hole which was in the middle front of the sweater is almost invisible thanks to Theo’s amazing skill. We would highly recommend this service which was also not overly expensive 🙏
