Absolutely shit flavour
Absolutely shit flavour. This spice mix is overdosed with cardamom. This is not what tikka masala tastes like back in India. Even their butter chicken mix is overdosed with cardamom. I wonder if these guys taste their own products. It made me throw up. They should be ashamed of calling this product Indian. Waste of money. Buy something else. These guys need to recheck what they put into people's bodies. Absolutely shit product and will never buy this again.

Finally given up on curry kits -- patak, east at home , spice taylor etc- they just don't make a true curry .Had first decent curry last night ; it was a jalfrezy take away -20 £ but this is enough for 2 meals
Absolutely dreadful
Absolutely dreadful! Cooked the Tikka Masala dish. Bought some lovely chicken thigh fillets. Once cooked, my food had an extremely artificial, chemical taste and smell! Has to bin the lot.

Ik kreeg een proef verpakking bij de boodschappen...en Ik vond het zo vies, na 2 happen kreeg ik gewoon een braak neiging...er zat een hele vreemde geur/smaak aan, weinig smaak, hier vond iedereen het echt vies
Rustic Rogan Josh, Yummy
Made Rustic Rogan Josh for the first time tonite, it is so delicious, and so quick to prepare, enjoyed the lovely flavors, but I did add 500g beef strips. Will definitely try the other delicious flavors.
Quality fresh home prepared authentic curry.
Purchased my first kit yesterday evening (Saturday) from Tesco £3.95 Spicy Bengali Jalfrezi. Easily prepared with chicken in about 20-25 minutes. Compares favourably with a restaurant purchased meal - probably better than average. Lovely consistency, flavour and spice. One has to add a small amount of chopped tomatoes, onions and red pepper to complete. Serves 3 so works out at about £3.00 per serving each (with plenty of fresh chicken). It was a good experience so will be buying again.
Tastes ok but bit of a con
I've used a few of their kits and just done the Malaysian Laksa. It's tasty but for the price you'd probably get something just as good using a jar of sauce for less than half the price. Needs to introduce more real spices other than a dried chilli and two lime leaves, which just seems a token effort.

Love the lentil dahl and have tried several other curries all of which have been delicious. I always have 1 or 2 packets in the pantry on standby as I prepare 1 every week.
I especially appreciate the quality of the ingredients
Rank
Rank! Bought thai green and some other flavour. We shopped at Waitrose and usually buy Blue Dragon. However, clearly some deal had been struck with the Spice Tailor and Waitrose as they no longer sell the Blue Dragon versions.
So, thinking it would be ok we tried this brand. Both were like mush, no liquid, poor quality coconut and the other curry we cooked was bitter and thick so the ingredients struggled to cook properly.
Hideous stodge that I will never buy again.
I am now going to buy the Blue Dragon versions as their produce is far superior.
Okay my bad I didn’t check for gluten…
Okay my bad I didn’t check for gluten as just about all of these products don’t contain it! Will not use this product again and will instead use competitor’s products. Talk about ‘no nasties’ go figure!

Taste OK but why suggest 250gm meat/chicken. Chicken is packaged in 400gm minimum. 250gm wouldn’t be enough for 3 people.
Could be less complicated, but delicious
I was frustrated at first and rated this 2 stars. But have updated to a cautious 4.
Who puts the instructions on the inside of the packaging so that you can’t read them until you get home and open it? And then requires the use of a MORTAR AND PESTLE.
I bought the “Fiery Goan” for a reason and found out that you had to grind the whole cloves, curry leaves and a whole chilli, or find a way to pick them out after simmering. So I went ahead without them but wasn’t happy.
If I wanted to be grinding spices with a mortar and pestle I wouldn’t be buying a quick and easy weeknight meal kit, now would I?
Update: it was delicious even without the spices, just the base and sauce. On night 2 for leftovers, I did grind the spices on a cutting board with the back of a spoon and yes - got the heat I was looking for and flavours even more complex and amazing.
I would just recommend that this product comes with spices already ground, OR info on the outside explaining before you buy that extra steps (and equipment) are necessary. But if you have time to fuss a little, I now recommend this.
Tried the Goa fierce curry
Tried the Goa fierce curry
Nothing fierce about this curry very tomato flavour
I. Think that you should go to Goa and try it there I have and is nothing like yours
Not I will not recommend or buying again
Pleasantly surprised
Pleasantly surprised. I love Indian cuisine but have zero clue how to mix spices for the dishes. I loved the butter chicken and will be trying the others.
As good as a takeaway
I've tried the Goan Spicy curry and the Jalfrezi. Both absolutely sublime..you can of course spice them up by adding a scotch bonnet and I'd recommend adding double the amount of peppers and onions as the standard portion is only enough for 2 meals. They are seriously on a par with a takeaway...very highly recommended.

I had the bengali coconut lentil daal.I cooked the dpices as asked then added the daal and simmered till heated.Sadly the split peas they seem too big for lentils are not cooked tried to cook a littld more but gave up,wont be trying spice taylor again, sadly.
Agree with others here. Takeaway standard
Agree with others here. This is as close to a takeaway standard as i've ever had and believe me, i've tried.
Only used the goan hot one so far but this is as good as it gets
Wow if you want a takeaway curry cooked at home nothing better than this.
Wow if you want a takeaway curry cooked at home this is the best. Amazing flavour easy to prepare and great results every time. Never going back.
Excellent kits
Excellent kits - favourite for speed and flavour is the Delhi Black daal but all of the Indian meal kits are brilliant, tasty, cheap and quick to make and they have reduced my takeaway expenditure to near zero.
Restaurant grade, and then some
Easily the best flavour (and aroma) of any cook at home curry. Much, much better than the usual bottled sauces. I cannot recommend enough that you marinade the chicken (or whatever) ahead of time, 4+ hours, and definitely grill it first (8-9 minutes for me, keep an eye out for slightly charred upper corners). Absolutely amazing, especially the chicken tikka massala.
