They introduced the paid model, it is fine all news sites do it, but they even make the basic review articles paid where usually there is just basic product reviews and not much from their side just reviewing specs sheet

I can see another negative review won’t make much difference so here it is: I search for information on Q rings and reviews and their article came up, but I was not allowed to read more than a few lines before I was being asked for money. And refused entry of not. Can’t even read one article before having to pay? How do I know you’re any good?

I used to enjoy this site like the others but it devolved into biased rubbish in recent years, obviously pushing agendas and opinions often over facts. The usual dance of division riddles their entire site where you're either "far left or an insanely terrible human being". Their Elon articles are always amusing because they've clearly been given directive from VOX to always hate on the man for as far back as I can remember.

Nilay Patel's bias and incompetence constantly shines especially when he writes an misleading article or headline but won't apologize for it. Maybe you can pay us $35 to wear your terrible "EMAILS" shirt that is worth $5.

The best part is how much fake engagement their comment sections get. There are an enormous amount of users registered within a day or two of their articles with usernames "verge_user_x" likely to claim they are getting more traffic and drive actual users to engage more.

Credibility level: "You call is important to us".

This is poison. Don't read it.

i'm not political and not even from united states couldn't care less about politics and even I saw an insane outburst of hate towards ANYTHING right leaning. Theyve gone mad radical left politically speaking. Every single article about elon musk is just trashing him and belittling his achievements in tech. They're lost their lefty minds, just stop it and do what youre meant to do, report tech. But no, somehow during the last few years all they do is hate and discriminate on anything that doesnt sit with the left leaning views. It's actually disgusting gross journalism. Shame on all of them. Also any comment they dont like or slightly goes against their agenda, they delete or ban you. What a actual joke. The site used to actually report tech, don't know what kind of super radical left virus infiltrated the platform. They need to take a good hard look at what job they do cause it aint journalism. I'm boycotting this piece of 💩 site.

Beautiful looking site, heavily updated, but a shallow experience with not truly technical content.

when i press verify email it gives me too_many_redirects, when i try to log in elsewhere (why are you still calling it google plus in the url guys?) it gives me http_response_code_failure

I want to echo the "political" comments... I see NO objectivity on the few times I stumbled onto The Verge. Strong left leaning. They shoot at Joe Rogan, Elon Musk, and others.

I wish I could exclude their website from my searches

1. Elon Musk sucks and everything he says and does is stupid.

2. We must discuss politics and write 10+ stories/day about Elon Musk.

3. Benchmarks are stupid, we'll just tell you how it feels to use it and you figure it out, that's much more objective, comparable, and useful.

4. Nobody uses VR, the 20+ million Quests 2 units sold are a myth.

5. We don't use/like/understand product X, so nobody must use/like it. If you do, you're an idiot and please call us because "we [like to pretend we] have so many questions" (repeat constantly).

6. Apple rocks.

7. There's nothing wrong with hiding charging ports and power buttons underneath devices, you're just an idiot who's using them wrong or not the target market because what idiot uses mice while charging or turns off computers? (Mac Mini)

8. Powerful, mid-generation consoles are stupid, only 11 people in the world want them. (PS5 Pro)

PS: Just visited theverge.com for the first time in probably months and was blocked from reading the main story and requested to buy a subscription to read the article after checking the comments and returning to the article (?!).

ran and paid by big tech companies. obvious polictical agenda with their overly opinionated "news". they resort clickbate titles with no relation to the article to get readers. another generic bandwagoning site hopping on the woke bandwagon

Garbage news website with fake stories and clickbait articles. Just close your doors already and stop embarrassing yourselves.

I’ve tried to like this site because they sometimes have good content but the editorial integrity is offensive. I get it, they lean left of the political spectrum, but claiming business titans will be “murdered” and allowing commentary claiming said titans are “grifters and trolls” is inexcusable. For a site that claims to promote technology news, product reviews and tech guides they’ve swayed pretty far off course. I’ve had to delete their bookmark because I don’t want to read political rants when that’s not what the site was developed for.

Warning to all parents or guarantors, this is company is completely unprofessional and questionable at best. I have a number of rental properties and if I obscured costs and obligations like these folks I'd be in court. I know that campus housing is extremely tight, but just say, "no" here to keep yourself from The Verge of insanity. You'll thank me.
