All my bottles have been absolutely amazing. Except the Loch Lomond. Had a very heavy poisony taste too it. Have read up and have realised it’s part of a bad distillation.

Amazing experience!
So excited to get this release (Old Perth -aged 20 years), I missed out on it earlier this year but reached out and Dan helped me get a bottle. The whisky club support team are second to none, thanks guys!

Be careful as the opt out model means…
Be careful as the opt out model means you will end up paying for whiskey you don’t want, usually for 150-200. They make the opt out intentionally convoluted. Also when try to pause your account or cancel. They hide it away behind 3-4 pages making it painful.

No disappointments.
Great variety of exclusive whiskies at a good price. Allows you to get away from normal, impersonal retail outlets.
Staff are very helpful, knowledgeable and easily contacted.

I like to try new whiskey's first with a splash
I like to try new whiskey's first with a splash of water, then with ice, then, if it doesn't hit the mark, some ginger ale and then if I have to Coca Cola. I mark the quality of the drink but how far along this journey I have to go to enjoy it. The Redbreast Single Pot Still Pedro Ximenez Edition I loved from the first sip with only a splash of water added. I tasted luscious sultanas, even so far as to say stewed prunes and port. Utterly delicious. Earns my highest accolades, I'll save this till my dad visits next and share with him.

Smooth Whiskey

The Whisky club is not for everyone
The Whisky club is not for everyone. For starters, they make money on the fact people are time poor or lazy. If you don't it out your get whatever they send you, every month, until you cancel or opt out for 3 months.
When life gets busy, you get whisky. Note the whisky is hit and miss and When you're spending 140 bucks on 700 or 500ml, it's not cheap. I've had 4 bottles delivered 2 of which I didn't want to try. The Lark, 500ml of trash and The Glen Allachie was so bad, so harsh, so flavourless, we had to mix it with cola to make it bearable, I'll probably have to the same with the Lark.
Why get sent expensive rubbish when you can try whisky at pubs and bars to find what you like abd then buy that?.
To make matters worse, they sell other bottles that they they talk up, with their fancy videos etc, like the GlenAllachie, I added that to my cart and emailed support to see if I could add a bottle to my monthly delivery, nope, you can only at prior to the opt out cut off date about 1 week before they ship. Really! Ok. What wasn't apparent that if you leave a bottle in the cart, is automatically ordered at 11pm that night. So I emailed support, both in shock and regattas
Requested then to cancel the order. Nope. Support don't work weekends and now it's in the automated system. Too bad. I asked for a refund, well i'd have to pay the freight both ways, that's around 40 bucks .. Support was not as accommodating as I would have expected
I DON'T like they way they do business, I dodn't like the fact I'm purchasing expensive items based on biased reviews and I don't like their support. CYA TWC, never again

Thank you for leaving another review, we understand this was resolved a few weeks ago with our Member Experience team.
Members are always welcome with requests to add our available 'Top Up' whiskies to their upcoming monthly order, and we're happy to help with this.
As you made a Top Up order, this auto-processed at 11.30pm each night as is advised when a whisky is added to your Delivery Box. If we receive a request to cancel the following working day, we're always happy to do this, however as your order went through Thursday and your parcel was dispatched Friday, we were unable to cancel the already-dispatched order when your request was sent on the Saturday.
We do send two confirmation emails before we dispatch Top Up orders (one to confirm your Top Up selection, the with a receipt to confirm the order itself) and we're currently reviewing this to see if a third confirmation email is necessary.
We do value all Membership feedback, so please don't hesitate to contact us again in future at drams@thewhiskyclub.com.au with any future suggestions.

The whiskey club whiskey is sensational..such access to rare and exclusive is wonderful. The class of product made available to average joes like me is just incredible and exposes me to whiskey I wouldn’t normally have.. kudos whiskey club… keep doing what you’re doing!!

Delightful
Received the Dunville's Cigar Malt and it was a beautifully rich and smooth whiskey. The Whisky Club very rarely misses and this was no exception.

Overall good but short.
Overall good, 3.5 stars. Very short on back taste (disappears quick) Good up-front but not "strong" enough for a 13 year old.

Thanks for leaving a review of our latest March Whisk(e)y of the Month, we're sorry to hear you didn't find the Dunville's Cigar Malt up to scratch with our usual offerings.
Irish whiskeys are often lighter than Scotch single malts, but as this was very much stylised after the classic Scotch cigar malt, we would've hoped you'd notice a more lingering finish on this one to live up to its Gold medal from the World Whiskies Awards.
How do you find the Club offerings generally? We really hope we live up to more than three stars but would love to hear more of your feedback as a long-term Member.

The Lark Seppeltsfield
The Lark Seppeltsfield was eagerly awaited, I doubled up, and was not disappointed. it is everything a good tawny casking should be, a lovely walk through a bakery with raisiny notes and nose. The 47.5% abv is on point to carry through the warm flavours without being overpowering. A tour de force!
