Excellent system for learning classical guitar.

Great site esp for classical guitar. Bradford has a great delivery on his video lessons. The site is an excellent resource for lessons, music scores (graded,era and region) and a great Q&A section, with in depth written responses and usually backed up with videos. Bradford also reviews guitar accessories and tech, giving an impartial review. In short this site is a great resource for classical guitar students/players of all ages and abilities.

Very useful for a beginner self-teaching classical guitarist like me.

The most complete and comprehensive online source for classical guitar instruction and sheet music

Incredible curriculum. The entire first method book and videos are free. That alone is incredible considering the amount of time and effort. You can tell it’s really all about just helping people learn the guitar and I think by offering the first book free it helps people fall in love with it.
The teaching style is fantastic. I love being taught in the manner the content is presented and being walked through it via the videos is perfect for me. Highly recommend if you’re interested in classical guitar. Side note: I’ve never learned an instrument as successfully as this. This is the first time it’s gone so well, I makes me feel like I can learn it and be good at it and that’s really nice.

Also a lot of the rudimentary skills learned in the curriculum are very transferable to other styles like flamenco, jazz, and other Latin styles of playing.

I have been going to this site for about a year now. I love that there is a ton of free content available. More importantly, I love that the content is very high quality. I have learned so much from the method books, videos and articles. I even cancelled my subscription to a flashier classical guitar website, as I found myself learning more and simply more engaged with the content of "This is Classical Guitar".

My best summary of this website is: you will learn how to play the classical guitar well with quality content and all of it is ad free. You will also learn about the classical guitar culture. Finally, you will also find a wonderful budding community here.

This is an excellent source for instructional videos and curated content. Bradford’s videos are well done and very informative, and his explanations are very helpful. The site’s music content is expansive, and there are several free offerings. I have gained a lot from this site to assist me in my journey on Classical Guitar.

This is Classical Guitar is hands down the best online resource for learning guitar. Not just for "classical" guitar, but any guitar, which will also give you skills to carry over into ukulele as a bonus. I stumbled on This is Classical Guitar and my life changed. Classical just means learning the guitar as any instrument, learning the notes, one note at a time. If you had Band class in school, it's the same. Then when you've practiced Twinkle Twinkle and Three Blind mice, you move to hard melodies. Then you are taught chords. This progression makes so much sense. Jumping to chords right away is quite ridiculous, if you think about it. People want to skip the technical part of understanding what they're doing, and jumping straight to strumming their favorite pop and rock. You never understand what your hands are doing and the fretboard just becomes like a set of buttons you press to get a chord to sound, according to a chart. This is a complete disconnection from the music. I was trying to learn from YouTube this way, and it just was too hard to cleanly get a chord down. My left-hand felt weak. My strings were muted. I just couldn't do it. I am so glad I found This is Classical Guitar.

Great page that features a good deal of what's important to know in today's guitar world. Kudos to Bradford Werner for the enormous work behind it!

Excellent, informative site giving deep insights, motivation and ideas. Excellent reviews of performances, performers and music, as well as fantastic lessons and tipps and reviews of guitar related accessories. Above all it is the best source of printed/digital editions of a huge range of music. This is Classical Guitar is the best website for a guitarist!

I have found the on-line lessons very rewarding. His reviews of classical guitar gear are extremely helpful. He gives his honest opinion of what he likes and dislikes about the gear, which has helped me to decide whether to purchase it or not. And, he is just a charming person to watch.

Bradford has excellent video lessons.

If you are interested in classical guitar, this website is worth your time. Bradford's work for beginners is outstanding, loved working through his graded repertoire. He has a great range of editions that are always of a high quality and reasonable price. All worth a look. While you're at it sign up for the newsletter!

Great teacher, don’t miss these lessons

I started playing classical guitar with Bradford's material. I just think it's really accessible and not gatekept or paywalled. Now a days i have a teacher but i still appreciate all the other content, song recommendations, lessons, reviews.
