This company does not accept returns, and their sizing charts do not accurately reflect the products shipped. I ordered nearly $400 worth of undecorated vests—all in the same size—and received inconsistent fits: two were too large and two were too small. Despite this, they refuse to offer a refund or exchange.

It’s also hard to take their sustainability claims seriously—like “bottles saved by this garment”—when they won’t accept returns and instead leave customers to discard unusable items.

Here is their return policy:
“Returns for blank (undecorated) items are considered final sale and are typically not eligible for return or exchange due to sizing issues. Decorated items can be returned if there is a production error, but for undecorated items, exceptions are only made when there is evidence of a mis-sizing due to a manufacturing error. If you believe the sizing issue is due to production and not just fit, please share any additional information or evidence you may have so we can review your request further.”

Great company with great products

I'm genuinely so shocked at the low reviews on this site. I was super pleased with how my embroidered sweatshirts turned out. The customer service was responsive and transparent through the entire process. Additionally, the items shipped quickly and are in great shape. Could not be happier.

Buyer beware.

We have used Threadfellows on multiple occasions and experienced repeated delays, proofing issues, and poor communication. Our most recent order took nearly a month with no clear updates and no accountability.

This was not a one-time issue — it has happened more than once. If you value timelines, transparency, and customer service, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I initially had a bad taste with threadfellows, as I saw all of the bad reviews after ordering, which led me to push their support a little bit more.

But, honestly, the delivery was within timeline, considering I got blanks and no embroidery service, I think that they were super transparent with me and delivered whenever they said they would.

Quality of the hats are great, thanks for this threadfellows. Looking forward to working with you again.

Not reliable.

Not reliable.
I've placed 3 orders with them. Each time you place an order - you'll end up getting an email where some of your order is out of stock even though it was in stock when you ordered it.
Ended up dealing with the owner the first time (Jake Solomon), but nothing has changed.
I just had to cancel a $5,600 order since you cant even get their customer service to reply to your email.

Disorganized, expensive, and frustrating customer service.

My experience with Threadfellows was a mess from start to finish. I placed a time-sensitive order, clearly communicated my deadline, and was immediately hit with surprise fees—first a $375 “VIP” charge just to get the products in time, later reduced after I pushed back (why wasn’t the lower rate offered up front?). Then when I asked to cancel—well within the terms on their website since I hadn’t approved the logo—I was told I’d owe a 20% restocking fee. So much for flexibility or customer care.

To make matters worse, they couldn’t ship items to two addresses without tacking on yet another fee, and the process for doing so involved a rigid spreadsheet format that’s apparently required by their “shipping computer.” It honestly felt like I was working for them, not the other way around.

Every question was met with vague delays, upsells, or copy-pasted policy references. I ultimately felt pressured to just accept the inflated costs to get anything at all.

Threadfellows talks a big game about service, but in reality, it’s death by a thousand fees and zero real flexibility. Would not recommend.

False Advertising and Poor Support

They had a minimum on products that said they didn't. They were very slow to respond and EXTREMELY slow to deliver. They want you to pay for fast delivery but still have lots of ways to delay the order.

Top-notch service!

Threadfellow's reps were amazing to deal with, they always got back to me very quickly and gave me confidence that the order would go smoothly.

We paid a rush fee for a tight timeline and our order arrived on time as expected. The quality of the clothing and embroidery is awesome and we're very pleased with our experience.

False advertising is never a good look.

I tried to order two Patagonia jackets, each with a different healthcare company's logo. They expected a $250 minimum for each logo. Shipping charge was also around 10% of my total. Why was this a problem?

Because they specifically advertise customized Patagonia products with no minimum and free shipping. I attempted to link the screenshot of the ad, but outside links are not allowed. Here is the text from their Google sponsored link:

Custom Patagonia - No Minimum

Free Shipping - Threadfellows Offers Custom Branded Clothing for Your Business. Free Shipping . Custom Patagonia Apparel For Business. No Setup Fee & Free Shipping. Shop Now!

They had no intention of honoring their advertisement, so I ended up having to cancel my order and go elsewhere.

Nobody likes liars.

Misplaced logos and embroidery

I don't normally leave reviews but I cannot say enough about how poor my experience was working with Threadfellows. They don't follow instructions, misplaced all of the embroidery, offset the embroidery, and shipped incorrectly. There are really nice service agents you can speak to, but they outsource all of the product work to a factory offsite that they don't own, and therefore don't have any quality control over. The bags we received are almost useless with how they embroidered them. In the first pass of the proof, it was so incorrect that it seemed like they were leveraging AI vs using real humans to do any of the work. Smart in theory, bad in practice. Would avoid at all costs.

Company took longer than expected to provide logo proof, and the proof was wrong colors and wrong spacing. The new proof took another week. When these delays were mentioned, and a cancellation was requested, we were informed they would charge a 20% fee for cancellation - a fee not disclosed on the order check out, refund terms or anywhere else during the checkout process. We were told that it could be found on the FAQ page someplace. This is not in accordance with generally accepted and enforced merchant standards, and is not enforceable in most states. We are wholly dissatisfied and intend to report this to our state consumer protection agency.

I placed the order and confirmed the logo on 4/10/2024. I checked on 5/8 to see where my order was and they stated they didn't know. I checked again that next day and told they had a problem but yet still no completion date. Their only answer was basically it wasn't their fault and refuse to cancel the order. So as a customer you have zero assistance or anything that makes you want to use them.

Terrible and unprofessional. Don't believe Free embroidery

Terrible and unprofessional. Their system is so broken. They take your order then send the worst proofs that don't match the logo then just send you and invoice for 20% upcharge for supposedly 'free' embroidery on my $2,500 order. Now it's a hostage situation, pay more to complete my order or pay to cancel. I will be disputing this charge in its entirety.

Our company had a great experience with Threadfellows. Julia was incredibly helpful, attentive and communicative throughout the process. She made the process easy, and our team was really happy with the embroidered Cotopaxi fleece sweaters we received!

This is the absolute worst experiene of my life dealing with a embroidery/uniform shop. Run like hell. Dont even quote, dont think about it, click NOOOOO. Not only is there ZERO customer service, they straight up lie, they stole my money, and now I am dealing with my credit card co to get my money back. HUGE scam, chinese knock off crap, and wow.... just wow. HORRID.

The worst online "apparel" experience…

The worst online "apparel" experience of my career.

Avoid this business at all costs, after taking payments on a basic embroidery job and delivering proofs that were the direct opposite, I explained what I required.

They then condescendingly explained why it wouldn't work over multiple calls and emails for two months.

When I exasperatedly shared frustrations and asked for a refund, they charged me a "20% restocking fee" for running proofs that were the opposite of my order.

Avoid, deeply unprofessional.

Still no news on the christmas presents…

Still no news on the christmas presents we ordered on Nov 15th. Proof was completed and reviewed. Office is closed. Got a cryptic message saying "shipping was expedited" but no tracking number has been provided and the order still says "Unfulfilled" on website as of 12/24/23. Will tell everyone I know.

Communication is a low priority

My experience was very poor with Threadfellows. I ordered two jackets on April 14 with them finally arriving at my door June 5.

I had a great customer service experience for the original two Patagonia jackets I ordered, but branding limitations through Patagonia forced me to swap jackets to Northface instead. All went fine there (except for the email that never got to me about Patagonia denying my proofs. I had to follow up with them), then everything went downhill with communication.

No updated proofs were ever sent for the new order after following up twice on my own. The first outreach I was told "Looks like our team has been working so intensely to get the new product here and ready for production that the proofs haven't gone out. Sorry about that. I've reached out to the art team to see if we can get those sent out asap for you." No follow up was ever made or proofs were ever sent even though "intense work" was being made. After following up again asking for a refund, I was told that the proofs had been confirmed (I never did that), and that my jackets were already in production so I couldn't get a refund.

They did expedite my shipping, but for an order that was highlighted on their website taking 15-18 business days from order to delivery this is a classic case of overpromise & underdeliver.

Terrible experience, and to top if off the embroidered logos were bad quality! Never using or suggesting this company again.

I had a wonderful experience with Threadfellows. We had a time crunch on a large order and we were able to have it expedited. Our items were fabulous!

I want to also personally thank Julia for being so amazing and attentive. She went above and beyond for our team. Thank you for making this experience so smooth and for being patient and professional.
