Thruxton Circuit Avis 

Oliver loved the 4x4 experience it’s a pity there wasn’t more water but we are in a drought. The instructor Dave was very good. Unfortunately I left my bag somewhere on site and didn’t realise till I got home to Farnham. I phoned the go kart track and Ian went to look for it and phoned me back to say he had found it and would put it in his office. We went back the next morning to retrieve it and that’s what you call excellent customer service so thank you very much Ian

Very very disappointed! The VIP experience is not worth the money. £249 for the viewing of a corner of the racetrack, you couldn't evening see the start line. Ok you could have free drinks all day, but even the wristband was very poor. No VIP lanards and only 2 male toilets. To top it all, there was 16 table of ten people, it took an hour to have our table called for food and there was nothing in left. I did take a video to prove this but can't share for some reason. The salt were good, but that's about all that was. 9 of us came today and we're told , no shorts no hats but guess what, we counted 8 men in shirts and 5 men in baseball caps. If you going make rules.... Stick to them. I will not be back and will not recommend to anyone. The day was only made good by being with good friends!!

Fantastic hour with the team at Thruxton. Super friendly and accommodating. Look forward to coming back.

Fun, but I really went to get some training. I got very little. I was in a car with another participant, instead of an instructor, and the instructor gave incredibly little guidance at the start. The other participant in the car gave me no guidance or ideas, so it was a waste of time and money for me.

This was my first time on a race circuit, and there were some real positives. Nigel and John were excellent: calm, patient and constructive. They explained where my driving was becoming erratic and helped me become smoother and more confident.

Unfortunately, the experience changed when I moved to the Opel with another instructor. His communication felt patronising rather than helpful. He made sarcastic comments about braking and the hot steering wheel, and at one point said, “I hate to break this to you, but I don’t think you’re a very good driver.” Whatever his concerns were, I found that comment unnecessary and unprofessional.

The car stepped sideways in one corner, but I corrected it and continued. I later heard this described as a “spin,” which did not reflect my experience. I fully accept that safety comes first and respect the decision to stop the session. My issue was the way it was handled and communicated.

The reception team were extremely helpful and professional in arranging a refund. Nigel and John were a credit to Thruxton, but the final instructor’s attitude overshadowed what had otherwise been an enjoyable day. I believe he would benefit from further training in how to communicate with customers, particularly beginners.

Birthday present for my son - he thoroughly enjoyed his experience. Only disappointment was the 2 seater race car not available (which was why we had bought the experience) shame we didn’t get notice and the option to reschedule to a different date.

Great day out. Ards test passed with great instruction throughout. Super team and very welcoming. Solid Cayman was provided for the test. Will be back for a track day. Many thanks to you all.

Two of us went on a very busy day which could be whyvit was so chaotic, and we had two different experiences booked each (myself a Mustang and Porsche Cayman, my daughters boyfriend an Aston Martin and Lamborghini). The timings on the Mustang were right on the system but wrong on the label which caused several issues, as well as it not being clear that we had paid for photos and videos on all experiences. We also weren't informed we needed to go and pick out our photos so had to chase these up afterwards. What could be useful too is just stating on the website whether cars are manual or automatic...I had a bit of kangaroo petrol in the Mustang as it wasn't clear it was a manual. As we had two experiences booked each, we also had to repeat the debrief which felt like a bit of a waste of time.

However, the actual car experiences themselves were brilliant. Great instructors who really were encouraging and supportive. A particular shout out to Gary who was with me in the Cayman, he was absolutely phenomenal and I'll be looking to go with him again in the future, as despite the issues, it was a great day.

A great experience. A friendly and efficient team. As a newcomer to Thruxton there was a lot to take in, but instructions were good and there really wasn’t much waiting around. We drove the Aston the Alpine, very different, but both were very capable!

Superb driving experience, cars kept in fabulous condition, very skilled instructors topped with friendly & warm staff overall. Strongly recommend as one of the best UK driving experience.

My friends and I had lots of fun on the Skid Pan. We were given lots of advise and were able to see the difference how our cars are handling with and without electronics help.

Recommended to new but also experienced drivers.

Fantastic experience just wished I had longer to really enjoy but my to guys were brilliant and very patient with me.

The instructor and all the staff were great and all very helpful. The only reason for 3 stars is that 3 laps for £135 goes very very quickly and you only just get used to the car before it is all over. I think having 3 laps getting used to the car followed by 3 laps would be better than being driven around for 3 laps in a Toyota first

We really enjoyed the driving part! However lack of communication between the bookings department and the person running the 4x4 took the edge off.

Another great driving experience at Thruxton. A relaxed, yet informative briefing was followed by a few familiarization circuits with an instructor. I did the one to one Porsche Cayman experience which provided an opportunity to drive a great sports car at speed, The instructor Gary instilled confidence with knowledge and information to maximize my potential and ability behind the wheel.
