Timber Windows Avis

Excellent service throughout from initial planning and quotation through to fitting. Service queries after the fitting was completed have also been handled well. Would use again and recommend.

It was quite creepy to receive an unsolicited marketing mailing from a company I’ve never had any dealings with this morning. I don’t need windows. Stop being so creepy and pushy.

From my initial enquiry to the final stage of fitting, my new window installation was handled efficiently and promptly, with good communication, and friendly, capable staff. Very pleased with the result too!

Timber front door looks great and the people who fitted it (Jason x2) were faultless. We had a minor issue with some of the furniture when the door was first fitted but Jack dealt with it professionally and resolved the issue quickly. Would use Timber Windows again and recommend them.

The process from start to finish was seamless and the professionalism of the installation team and the quality of the install exceeded my very high expectations. The finished product is beautiful and has made such a difference we are now looking to get a quote to replace the windows in the rest of the house.

We had a new front door and associated glass panel installed by Timber Windows. We are delighted with the new door and are already noticing the benefits of the improved insultation. Everyone we dealt with at Timber Windows, from the initial visit to the Cheltenham showroom through all the stages to the final installation, was very personable and professional - making for a stress-free experience. It was important to us that the timber used was from sustainable FSC certificated sources.

Beautiful door, I am beyond pleased with my new front door. The quality is excellent, the service from the first meeting with the sales man, the surveyor through to the installation team has been exceptional and I couldn't be happier. I worked with the team Cotswold/Cirencester and would thoroughly recommend them.

Thank you so much to Timber Windows for the supply and installation of our new windows and doors. The whole process was seamless, very professional at every stage and installation team were amazing.

Lovely windows, installed by a very professional team. Really pleased with our new windows, the team worked really hard over the week to install them, they were on time each day and nothing was too much trouble. Cleaned and tidied up on completion. Would use again and would definitely recommend.

Process was seamless, lots of communication from company.
Installation was well handled, with no problems and almost zero mess.
Installers were polite and careful.

Fabulous windows! We are delighted with our new windows. Timber Windows have been very helpful with providing information to enable us to get LBC to replace all our windows. The in-house fitting team of Charlie, Dave and Kaleb have been fantastic nothing was too much trouble and they were very considerate towards us as well as extremely tidy. The fitting of the windows is to a very high standard - we already notice a difference in the warmth of the house and reduction in noise levels from outside. Very happy customers.

This is the second time we have used Timber Windows and have found them to be an excellent company. Everyone you meet is professional and the quality of the craftmanship is outstandingly. We are delighted with the doors we recently had fitted and can recommend them without reservation.

Can I just say how utterly delighted I am with my new windows. They have far exceeded all expectations from a visual, functional and quality aspect. The attention to detail is incredible with grooved features and a perfect finish. I had looked at 3 other suppliers with different options, and I didn’t chose the cheapest, but I did want wood. I am so glad I held out for what I wanted.
The style is perfect for my cottage and every single villager who has walked past has echoed these compliments.
I also want to acknowledge the fantastic Lee who came to fit the windows with his colleague. Lee was early to arrive, and did not stop once until he finished the job, he was cheerful and friendly and worked hard to get the windows all in by lunchtime. Every scrap of evidence was taken away and he hoovered and cleaned to a point that the cottage was cleaner after his visit!
I cannot thank you all enough.
I would like to get my 2 remaining windows done when you have your January sale so please can you contact me nearer the time to get them booked in with Lee to install.

Outstanding quality product, fitting team excellent. Highly recommend!

This was a second phase installation of a large sash with fixed sidelights following replacement of our other windows at the beginning of the year. As before, the communication from the company was very good and they even tried to advance the date of installation because effectively one elevation of the house at first floor level would be iunprotected once the openings had been prepared. apart from some misunderstanding on what was required on our part and realising that the weight of the window and the narrow stairs prevent internal access so a scaffold hoist was required, everything went smoothly. The installation team were excellent (as before) and a particular mention for Jason who came out immediately to sort out the access issue. The window completes the transformation of our 18th century house and we have received compliments from neighbours about the qualitg anbd appearance of the windows. Very happy.

Lee and Lee exceeded expectations in fitting my windows in an old cottage where nothing is straightforward. They were very skilled and respectful of my property completing the installation well in time. Have already noted an improvement in internal warmth. Should have had them fitted years ago! Excellent value for money.

Another fabulous door from Timber Windows. The whole experience was very efficient and our door looks amazing

We recently had a full service of our windows and doors installed about 10 years ago and were blown away by the service provided by Jake and John. Not only did they work like trogons, they were most respectful of both our property and of my wife and myself. Whilst they did have another job to go on to after ours, there was never any sign that they needed to cut corners to enable them to get away. What a great couple of employees Excell Timber Windows have together with great office staff too. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

We found every dealing with Timber Windows to be professional and everyone was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about their products. We had fantastic service from all office staff and excellent service from Glynn and Tony who fitted all our doors and windows. Glynn and Tony fitted everything with huge attention to detail, they were professional and reliable and incredibly flexible working amongst other tradesmen and three dogs who were always in their way! We would highly recommend Timber Windows as the product and all the staff there are excellent. John and Carmel Campbell

Firstly, I should warn you that if you enter into a contract with this company, you are not entering into a contract with Timber Windows Ltd. Instead, you are entering into a contract with a company named ‘Wealden Windows Ltd,’ which trades under the name Timber Windows of Maidstone. If things go wrong (as they did for us), Timber Windows Ltd will not assist you, advising that your contract and complaint lie with Wealden Windows Ltd.
Wealden Windows, trading as Timber Windows of Maidstone, was contracted to provide us with a dark brown, hardwood patio door in June 2022. We clearly stated that we wanted the new door to match our existing dark brown windows. We selected a colour swatch from their range, which was a very good match to our existing windows.
However, on two occasions, the door they delivered was not installed as it was stained in an incorrect colour. Although they verbally admitted at the time, on both occasions, that the doors were unacceptable, when I subsequently requested a full refund, I was met with a solicitor’s letter refuting my claim and refusing the refund.
The initial door was a much lighter brown than the dark brown sample we had agreed upon, and the door provided on their second attempt was vastly different in colour, more cherry red than dark brown. On neither occasion did the door match our existing windows or the colour swatch we had chosen. Despite this, in their solicitor’s letter, Timber Windows of Maidstone (Wealden Windows) claimed that on both occasions, the doors provided were ‘of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose (to replace existing patio doors), and as described.’
I was eventually able to progress a Section 75 claim via my credit card company, and the independent Financial Ombudsman agreed with my claim that Timber Windows of Maidstone (Wealden Windows) had been in breach of contract. My credit card company refunded me in full in March 2024. This was a lengthy process, as Timber Windows of Maidstone (Wealden Windows) often ignored our correspondence.
Needless to say, I would not recommend this company. Should you wish to verify, the Financial Ombudsman’s final decision is published on their website
