An honest review of the day I spent at TM Peterborough.
Parts of the day were enjoyable and informative, but I also felt under pressure throughout the presentation to buy their product. Once we declined, the attitude towards us noticeably changed, which in turn left a bad impression.
We were repeatedly told their strategy was “the best” and “proven” to work, but instead of hearing from people who had personally used the strategy to build successful businesses, the presentation mainly relied on experienced salespeople. While I respect that sales is a profession in itself, it did leave me questioning why there were not more examples from business owners who had achieved long-term success using the methods being promoted.
Being asked to commit to nearly £30,000 for a year of mentoring is not something most people can comfortably decide on under an intense sales approach. The pressure applied during the pitch made us recoil slightly and question the overall approach being taken.
On our way out, after explaining why we would not be signing up for the 12-month course, we were told that we “seem to have it all worked out.” That comment left a particularly bad taste in our mouths and only reinforced the feeling that the atmosphere changed once it became clear we were not going to purchase.
The majority of people we spoke to afterwards appeared to feel similarly, with several leaving shortly after the hard sales pitch began.
Overall, while parts of the day were enjoyable and informative, the high-pressure sales tactics after lunch and the noticeable change in attitude once we declined would make me hesitant to recommend the experience..we could mention certain individuals but wouldn't like to sabotage their career as they know who they are and will only get found out due to facts on companies house records!

I was going to join the Trade Master Mind then I spoke to people that were on the Academy already and they said it was so overpriced and they couldn’t wait until they would stop paying for it. The company still hasn’t refunded my £1500.
