She read through ratings so I didn't have to, and consistently suggested things I never would have thought to look for myself.

I worked with Maria from Travelries to plan a year long trip and, honestly, I don’t think I would have managed the trip without her. First of all, she managed to help me book nearly all of my flights (and many hotels) using credit card points hacks which I had never heard of. When I couldn’t use points, she helped me negotiate rates on Airbnbs or find affordable options elsewhere. An awesome side effect of this is it unlocked a larger budget to spend on experiences - tours, cooking classes, language classes, and more. In the end, my final spend for the trip came within 1% of my budget for the year.

The plan she created was unique to me and helped hit all of my bucket list spots - across Europe, Africa, Southeast Asia, and South America. She helped me get the timing right too - allowing me to see part of the Great Migration in Kenya as well as avoid the monsoon season in Vietnam.

Finally - she helped me watch out for common scams to watch out for as a tourist around the world. I learned the safest and easiest ways to get around different parts of the world, how to avoid exchange rate scams on ATMs and card readers, and where to go if I need help (which fortunately never happened due to her expert guidance!).

If you’re planning on taking a long term trip, there’s really no other comprehensive source like this to help you out. It’s a no-brainer, and will save you money and stress in the long run.
