Absolutely terrible after the 2020 changes, we're leaving

We have been using Trinet since 2015. As of 2020, they stopped having a dedicated account service rep and started routing all employer requests into a mailbox that is apparently unmonitored. We've waited (no joke) between 1 and 3 weeks for responses to simple requests. Now that I've started shopping to leave, I've also realized that they are incredibly expensive compared to other PEOs. I pay about $215 per employee per month. Other PEOs are roughly half that amount for the same coverage, but with dedicated account reps. Do yourself a favor and avoid Trinet.

No more dedicated support

They changed their support model and their customer service is now TERRIBLE. We wait weeks for responses on some service tickets. Not at all what we thought we were signing up for and really defeats the purpose of hiring a PEO to manage your HR function.

Ball Dropped - COBRA

They dropped the ball on sending us COBRA information, and we are now without insurance coverage for 10 business days. Meanwhile, medical bills are being denied. Thanks for nothing.

Horrible Customer Service

Customer Service for Employees and Employers has undergone a recent overhaul and is absolutely horrible. TriNet has recently changed their service model from dedicated account reps/help to an 800-number/ general email account. When companies encounter issues now, you call a number or submit a ticket. Its taken nearly 2 months to get an incorrect deduction paid out to employee, and one full week to get a simple report run. In the long run - its going to cost our small company more dealing with their new customer service model. On the market for a new PEO.

UI is OK, overall service is horrendous.

UI is OK. Customer Service is horrendous. I called them repeatedly for two weeks about getting COBRA. Each time I was assured that my package was being processed. Finally, 3 weeks after I began calling them, I received the package, postmarked 3 days after my coverage expired, leaving me with a gap in insurance coverage, despite numerous attempts to ensure that this would not happen. Another co-worker had the same thing happen with her family leave. Stay away from these jokers.

White Glove PEO for your Small Business

TriNet has been a true HR partner for our small business operating as a PEO for us. The ability to offer big company benefits to our employees at an affordable price is worth every penny. The team there also helps keep us in compliance provides needed training videos, and the benefits are top-notch. We've had a great experience with the staff as well.

TriNet is a great organization

TriNet is a great organization. Being a small nonprofit, our employees have access to an amazing array of benefits we would never be able to provide on our own.

It is wonderful having HR professionals on hand for what ever issue might arise.

Onboarding TriNet has been a nightmare

Onboarding TriNet has been a nightmare. The staff they assigned clearly had not even looked at the presentation she was supposed to give our company, she neglected the most important part of the presentation and was only interested in steering us toward some "rewards" program. Now that we have had TriNet for awhile, the customer service is severely lacking. They continuously confuse our tax jurisdictions, send formatted media pieces to answer specific and direct questions, and go radio silent when they are called out on it. This is THE WORST 3rd party service I have ever used and I have been in HR/Accounting/Finance for over 20 years.

One of our best decisions ever

We are completing our second year with TriNet and remain highly satisfied.

Top values are the availability, accountability, and responsiveness of support. My Client Success Partner is truly a partner, providing the help and answers I need when I need them, with equally capable fall-over support when he's not available. Live resources are available to my team effectively round-the-clock.

The variety and cost of insurance offerings is proving a valuable retention tool, helping us to be the firm we want to be.

The payroll platform is straightforward, efficient, stable, and accurate. TriNet has also added effective tools for managing COVID's added complexities like EFMLA pay and PPP loans.

(I do have some basis for comparison: TriNet replaced an PEO for which none of the above were true in our experience.)

Beyond payroll, TriNet's applicant management tools have proven valuable and we're looking to add TriNet's performance management module for the coming year.

As I said, we've very satisfied.

Content was very elementary

Content was very elementary - would be great for someone just starting out but today i personally did not learn anything new.
Few IT issues.
Well spoken presenter with good knowledge of the subject.

Our service team is wonderful

Our service team is wonderful! Both are very responsive and make getting things done easy. Our HR person gives good advice and points out risks. Getting information from Worksite Analytics is challenging. To edit a report requires too much filtering. There is too much data on a report and the filtering process take too long and is cumbersome.
The Help Center chat box that appears on the right side covers us important thing such as the scroll bar. It would be better if it was moved to a place where it doesn't sit on top of important information or navigational tools.
