Trip Tick is a birdwatching app for keeping a modern life list. It's built by an independent birder in the UK, and our community helps shape what comes next. Log every trip and sighting in seconds, even with no signal. Download species data before you head out, record completely offline, and everything syncs as soon as you're back in range. The mobile version supports voice entry, so you can keep your eyes on the bird rather than the screen. Every sighting updates your totals automatically: life, year and month lists, plus totals for each patch, reserve and country you visit. Tag your locations however you like. Species names follow AviList, the unified global bird checklist, and we update them every year when a new version is released. Logging your birding is free forever. Premium costs £2.50 a month or £25 a year and unlocks 21 detailed reports and insights. It also unlocks Leaderboards, where you invite friends and compare Life, Year, Month and Last 30 Days totals, along with sharing trips and following other birders. Payments are handled securely by Stripe, and you can cancel anytime. Switching from a spreadsheet or another app? Send us your records and we'll convert them for you free of charge. Each sighting just needs a date and a location. Trip Tick is independent, with no investors and no ads. Premium subscriptions pay for hosting and development, and we pledge 10% of profits to conservation and to helping young people get out into nature. The best app to record your birding trip lists
The developers of Trip Tick have taken all the best bits from the other mainstream birding checklist apps and made a better one.
Once you've set up your custom locations it is so simple to start recording your trip lists. The premium version is definitely worth it for the shear amount analysis and insight it provides in to your birding history. The developers are very prompt to respond to any issues and were extremely helpful in porting over 40 years of birding records from sspreadsheets. Can't recommend highly enough.

As a new bird watcher I found the app…
As a new bird watcher I found the app really easy to use and navigate. It was a very enjoyable experience and smooth sign up. I would highly recommend this app for ant bird watchers (the subscription is worth it too the extra features are amazing help)!

A great app to accompany a new hobby!
Really enjoying TripTick! 🐦 It’s easy to use, fun and a great way to keep track of the birds you spot. I love that it encourages you to pay more attention to the wildlife around you and makes walks out even more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend giving it a try! 👍🦆🔭

An excellent app for keeping birding records
I’ve been using Trip Tick to bring together years of birdwatching records and I’m really impressed with it. It’s simple to use, well designed and makes keeping track of trips, sightings and my overall life list much easier.
I particularly like being able to see everything in one place, including totals and reports for different locations and countries. Being able to record sightings offline is also really useful when you’re out somewhere with poor signal.
It’s clear that Trip Tick has been designed by people who actually understand birdwatching rather than simply building another generic logging app. It’s already very good and continues to improve with new features.
Definitely worth trying if you want a modern, straightforward way of keeping your birding records.

A birding app you must try!!
A bird recording app developed by a birder, excellent reporting functions, needs to be seen to be believed. New reports being developed all the time; extremely easy to use in the field and even has a voice activated function. Cannot recommend it highly enough

Trip Tick - new birding app
New birding app to record your Trip Ticks - excellent app that allows you to record your species in the field as you observe them! As you build up a record base there are numerous reports that you can create to give you Life - Monthly - Yearly totals and it allows you to see World Lists or the Country of your choice - you can create your own tags for even better recording of specific areas (ie county totals or Local patch).
Give it a try you won't be disappointed - created by a birder for birders.
