Ruined Copella juices

Tropicana own Copella juices, and have changed the recipe of the Apple & Elderflower to be cloudy, which was their last clear juice. Now you can't buy any non-cloudy ones. Ruining the brand, presumably because it's cheaper.

Bad customer service, bloated carton

Contacted customer services about bloated and fermented carton of Tropicana Multivitamin, which still had 2 weeks before expiry date. They seemed interested at first, taking all my details such as address to post me a voucher, then email to email it to me and then no contact whatsoever or a voucher. So someone at Tropicana may have cared to start with but perhaps the bosses think if they send a voucher, it is admitting that their products may be bad sometimes. Well I don't appreciate this approach and will try my hardest to buy alternative products, which there are plenty of.

What rip-off!

I decided to try Tropicana 'Fresh and Light' - in a hurry, so didn't read small print. Tried it - er? How watery can you get? Yup - sure it's light, coz according to label WATER is lead ingredient. flooding the container @ 29% ie only 71% juice. And only 30% orange. Rest is cheaper apple, pear etc. How dumb are we? Tesco pricing makes it a LEETLE cheaper - a generous 2p less per 100ml. But honestly....this one seriously deserves to fail.

I brought some non-refridgerated…

I brought some non-refridgerated tropicana juices and please DO NOT buy these as the taste and quality is terrible and not what you would expect from tropicana! I have made them aware and they are not bothered so please be warned.

The juice itself was lovely and made me…

The juice itself was lovely and made me feel really healthy so would buy again. However, I would not recommend a lot of this the night before fisting. Less than desirable outcome for both parties. Needless to say new bedsheets were required.

Shocking customer service.

I recently contacted Tropicana after a problem with one of their cartons. Had to dispose of the product but company were not interested. Recorded batch codes, expiry dates etc. But no offer of compensation or even reimbursement of product. Cannot remember a company less interested in customer services. Will now always purchase alternative brand.

Bad customer service

I have called the customer service sometime ago regarding the plastic Tropicana orange juice bottles as older people can't open them or finding very difficult to open and they still haven't done nothing about it after 8 months.
It looks like customer feedback is not important to them.

Tropicana is now selling juice in 46…

Tropicana is now selling juice in 46 ounces instead of the 64 ounces previously for decades. Why trick your own customers? Not 45 ounces, as might be expected as a popular round number, but 46 ounces to look like it is the same 64 ounces as before to shoppers who don't check and/or are in a hurry. Very despicable from a supposedly upstanding company, now "selling out" its own customers.

What the hell is wrong with you Tropicana, and its owners Pepsico (still involved in owning the company after a sale), and new owners PAI Partners whom I already don't like for pulling a slick trick like that? (I know what the A stands for.) That's almost a 30% decrease in what the consumer gets (how's that for an exposing-your-antics round number?). You are cheating your customers by 30%???!!!

Be careful when shopping - many manufacturers are now putting less in the container or package. I thought Tropicana was above that. Guess not. That's why I buy their competitors' products instead. Good riddance Tropicana!

Disappointed

Treated myself to the new flavour Orange and Mango Tropicana and on tasting it I genuinely thought it was out of date as it had very little taste. Watery squash is the only way this can be described as. Very disappointed 🙁

I am a big Tropicana fan,however the last 6 months the quality has gone down it tastes bland it almost feels like it has been watered down.... Hopefully it will improve in the future....

8 months for apology vouchers that don't work. Huge Company Zero Customer Care

In August 2023 we bought Copella apple juice for a car journey, it's a Tropicana brand. The seal on the bottle didn't have a split so couldn't be opened. Complained as this is a premium price product have been told for 8 months vouchers are the way, that a new system is being implemented. An email arrived with a 1 click email with vouchers last week...no vouchers downloaded. The email says the mysterious vouchers would have been valid for 2 months. I on behalf of my family, work etc.. would NEVER buy any of the these brands again...so outsourcing their customer service is a massive mistake.

Zero customer service & interest

On 9 January, I bought a 1.35L Carton of Tropicana Orange Juice with Juicy Bits from Asda in Swindon.
When I came to use it, I noticed that the carton had leaked from the bottom seal. It made a real mess in the fridge and naturally I had to throw the product away.
I complained to Tropicana who promised to send me a voucher within 4-6 weeks (although why it should take so long defeats me). After 6 weeks, when I still hadn't received my voucher, I contacted them again and their reply was that implementation of their new system was taking longer than expected.
Why they need a "system" to put a voucher in the post requires some serious explanation.
Now 8 weeks and still no voucher. Not that Tropicana care, but I am still out of pocket and so they have lost a customer.

The company doesn't appreciate your custom

I actually love the brand's various juice flavours, so when I bought a few cartons & found they tasted really odd, I checked the use by date & it was well within that time yet not pleasant at all. I emailed the company with full details of the product & complaint in Sept 2023, they offered to send me vouchers to the same value I had spent, so that I could repurchase their products (it's essentially a replacement). December 2023 comes along & still not replacement vouchers, then in January 2024 they email advising they still plan to send them but admit they hadn't done so yet - from 4 months earlier!
I don't feel that appreciated as a customer when they promise to replace a bad product & 4 months later they still haven't done what they promised. I note to this date I haven't received anything from them,

Similar quality products - but Innocent is light-years ahead of Tropicana, in terms of the price it puts on Customer Feedback

Unless I missed something, I was surprised to see that no one else had apparently reviewed Tropicana, given that it certainly would seem to dominate the fruit-juice market, albeit at the higher end.

It would probably be fair to say that not one day has gone by, without me having had a glass of Tropicana Orange (Smooth is my personal preference) for breakfast. I have tried other brands, but, for me, Tropicana is simply on its own, and anything else tends to taste like / have the consistency of squash.

A couple of days ago, I was in a different supermarket than my regular one, and noticed that, not only with the store, the price was nearer half what I pay in my supermarket, but that there were some different varieties.

Naturally I stocked up on orange, and got some of the newer Strawberry and Banana variety as well.

After it had chilled nicely, I tried it, but found that it was surprisingly bland, and where neither flavour seemed prominent.

I've always adopted the policy of praise where due, and a hopefully constructive criticism if something doesn't seem quite right. Companies don't consider you a moaner, because it's their only way of getting real feedback in every day use. When we see 'new recipe' on a product, it probably means that a number of people have made similar comments, to warrant a re-appraisal of the recipe, or design if a product.

I phoned Tropicana, and spoke to a most helpful lady, who would report back what I felt about the S&B flavour, but who was also pleased that I was virtually a lifelong customer, as far as their OJ went.

Some time ago, I bought a drink from the Innocent company. who are also big in this area, especially where their excellent smoothies are concerned.

Similarly, I had bought a Coconut drink, which came highly recommended, and Innocent, like Tropicana, are brand leaders.

At the time, I phoned their customer service and told them virtually the same story as with Tropicana.

I suppose it was because I had told Innocent that I wasn't a regular buyer of their products, unlike Tropicana, but a few days later, I had a delivery of a large box, with a large selection of various Innocent products to try - at no cost to myself.

I only mention this because it would seem that, while the products from Tropicana and Innocent respectively are virtually as good as each other, while the former thanked me for taking the time and effort to phone them about their product, Innocent were so very kind in their goodwill response.

Tropicana know that I'm hooked as a customer, so there was no need to 'reward' me in any way, even if their juices are often very expensive, largely depending on the retailer.

But when I mention Innocent's real generosity, people do go out and try it, even if it's not that cheap, either.
