I followed up, gave some details, and never heard back from them. Draw your own conclusions!!!

Morning Diane, sorry to hear you're not happy but according to our records you spoke to a member of the team on the 5th & 10th of September and you have an appointment scheduled with an adviser on 26th so we're just trying to understand whats going on. We'll reach out today and i'm sure we can get the issue resolved.

They had an ad come up on Facebook.
You have to give some essential information for them to follow up, then click on download.
Well nothing happened.
Simply created worry that they are scammers, now armed with email address, phone number, home address.

Updated after correspondence: they were nice and helpful and very quick to respond to my wobble about divulging information and seeming to get nothing back.
I am changing the star rating to 4 out of 5. I am holding back one star because I think they need to be more careful themselves with how the Facebook platform functions for them.
It uses up an incredible amount of time and emotional energy when these things glitch at all.
Glad to say that this time I seem to have had a safe landing.

Smart idea
This is a refreshing approach for anyone looking for a financial adviser. I particularly appreciate the option to ask for more alternative investment options and the ability to book a meeting directly. Beats having to take (and constantly miss) incoming marketing calls!
