Great service

Have used Twelve a couple of times and had the driver Cristinel. He is absolutely spot on. Texts when hes arriving. Great with my little boy, very helpful. Gave us a little tour of London pointing out some landmarks and historic places on our route as well as some history of his home country. Very chatty and pleasant and made the 90min journey across London quite interesting. He actually took a Sunday shift to collect us the 2nd time when he seen the name on the job as he remembered us from a month or 2 ago. Definitely use Twelve again the other drivers we've had were also very professional and helpful.

Avoid

We’ve used the service a couple of times but won’t be doing so again. Driver was fiddling with his phone the whole time switching between YouTube videos. We had two young children in the car. He did not even attempt to help us with our luggage trolley on arrival despite seeing we were overwhelmed with it and I had a sprained foot.

To top it all off we were asked to pay the wrong waiting charges and other hidden costs which were not disclosed at booking. Avoid.

Great!

Seamlessly got my and my 6 friends back and to from Glastonbury! Our driver Cristinel was exceptional and was very cheery despite having to sit in lots of traffic to come and get us!

They helped me to arrange a very last minute journey to a remote location and were in constant communication throughout. When things changed last minute, they could not have been more understanding and reasonable. Highly trusted service and excellent customer service.

Brilliant service

We ordered a taxi to take us Heathrow for our flight to Thailand the company confirmed the booking on the day and arrived on time and insisted on delivering us to the correct desk in Departures. brilliant Coming back the same met us at Arrivals and helped with the luggage to the car. Couldn’t have been more polite efficient and timely 19 out of 10. Would definitely recommend them. Jenny West

Good experience

Booking is a straight forward process with a detailed email confirmation. An email is sent a day before your booked journey to check all is going to plan.
Text communication with driver commences the day before and my driver, Sandesh, was very polite and understood my specific instructions of where to pick me up. The car was very comfortable and the driving superb - and on time!
I can see that others have not had a good experience with Twelve. Based on my experience I would use them again, but will check very carefully about luggage allowance and dimensions. If I'm going to be picked up after a flight, then I would leave extra time because coming through Immigration and collecting luggage ALWAYS takes much longer than you think, and you have to be very specific about where to be picked up (Heathrow is notoriously confusing and complicated to be picked up from).
As for last minute cancellations by the company - I would hope that doesn't happen to me, or at least I'd be given enough time to make an alternative arrangement.

Overcharged and Cheated

On a recent airport transfer, this company charged me extra for baggage even though my luggage was as I had described in the booking. When I pointed this out, they said that they classified our hand luggage as cabin baggage because the dimensions did not meet their criteria (which are very small and much smaller than the actual airline). I felt that they overcharged me based on unreasonable T&Cs that were hidden in the fine print.

Terrible experience with the driver

Terrible experience with the driver. I sent a courtesy message when we landed early, advising that we would meet him after passing through immigration and collecting our luggage. Twenty minutes later, I received a call from him, saying he had already parked in short stay because he hadn't properly read my message. He mentioned he was going to leave the car park due to the high parking charges. I told him I would call once we had our baggage. It took 30 minutes from that point to get through immigration and collect our luggage, and when I called him, he became very aggressive, claiming I kept calling him (though I had only called once) and said he had now left. He was quite unpleasant on the phone and instructed me to call him when I was actually ready. I had to reiterate that I was ready, and it took him another 20 minutes before he met us at Costa, then the meeting point. His entire demeanour and attitude when we met made us uncomfortable for the entire journey. I won’t be using this service again. It's not what I expect after spending so much money, especially when exhausted after a long flight.

They cancelled last minute leaving us stranded

We booked a return journey to and from Glastonbury festival several months in advance, and they cancelled our return journey last minute. As everyone knows getting back from Glastonbury is a tough journey which needs advance planning so we were stranded at the festival with no way of getting home and all of the other transfer companies were booked as it was so last minute. We’re also not from the UK which makes things harder as we don’t have family to rely on. A few of us had to miss work as we weren’t able to get back in time because of this. I find this extremely unacceptable, and I’m not typically one to leave negative reviews.

Zero response when something goes wrong

This company is as good as any other until you have a problem. I’ve been completely ignored despite two written requests for an explanation and/or a satisfactory resolution. We had two experiences with different results. Our large group transfer in two vehicles from Heathrow July 19 to Southampton was fine. But, our return trip to Heathrow on July 31 was a nightmare. Our two vans separated, wasted a lot of our time reconnecting, then we were informed there was no more time to drive-by some London sites. My family, who had never been to the UK and might not get the chance to return, only got to see King’s Cross station. I implored the drivers to take us by a few locations but they refused, even though our flight was delayed and we had an extra hour. The drivers put me on the phone with the office, and the person I spoke with immediately blamed me for the altered itinerary. When we got home, I emailed my contact and received no response. I then wrote a letter to the manager/owner and received no response. I am telling all my travel group to avoid Twelve Transfers.

Wreckless driving

Our driver arrived for pick up early which was great so we managed to set off to the airport on time. Soon into the journey the driver was using his hands free making personal calls, would have preferred he didn’t as I had 4 young children in the car but didn’t say anything. Whilst on the motorway driver kept swerving. Realised it was because the driver was busy messaging on what’s app instead of watching the road!! I was livid and asked that he stop using his phone whilst driving as I have young kids in the car and what he’s doing is illegal! He did stop for the duration of the journey but he should not have had to be told! I contacted the office immediately and got no reply.

I have been using this company for years

I have been using this company for years to transfer between Cambridge and Heathrow. Never had a problem. The driver was always there on time (even earlier than planned). I particularly appreciate the good communication, e.g. receiving driver details the day before.

Brilliant experience

Brilliant experience, the communication was clear and reassuring. The taxi driver arrived early and was friendly and got us to the airport promptly. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

top notch service

I felt anxious because of the negative reviews here, especially given the fact that I was travelling during Christmas very late in the evening and that was the only way I could get home from Gatwick airport (no trains and buses). Absolutely unnecessarily. The driver was exceptionally elegant and kind, the communication was excellent and everything went so smoothly. The best taxi driver I have ever had.

Great customer service

Great customer service. Had to cancel the booking due to a change of plans. Got a full refund approved in 10 minutes, with Marian our support agent extremely responsive.

We had recently booked the airport…

We had recently booked the airport transfer from Heathrow to Oxford. I have booked in advance by paying the quoted amount and i had given the live flight departure status link. This was clearly shows the live departure status link and it was 15 mins delayed. They were charged additional money for 15 mins delay and ended up not accomdating all the luggages. I have ended up travelling via train to accomodate additional one luggage. It was horrible experience with them

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback. While we do of course regret to understand that you experienced issues on your recent journey with us, which we do apologise for, it would be important to correct some of your statements, which are regrettably inaccurate.

We are disappointed to understand that you somehow find us at fault for your delayed arrival, despite the driver waiting for you for approx. 50 mins; as is detailed in our confirmation emails, we offer as standard 30 mins free of charge, so based on journey logs, the driver ended up waiting for you in total 50 mins, and not 15 mins as you seem to think (your pickup was scheduled for 17:30 and the driver only managed to locate you at 18:25). Furthermore, if would be important to acknowledge that you booked the transfer yourself, and as such, you did not book an appropriate vehicle for the amount of luggage you had present that day. The fact that you were forced to depart by alternative means due to the additional items is not our fault, so stating that we caused this “horrible experience” would be inaccurate. In the future, it might be worth ensuring that you book the correct type of vehicle, which can accommodate the amount of luggage you have, rather than placing the blame on someone else for your own shortcomings.

Nonetheless, we thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback, albeit mostly inaccurate.

I would recommend to others

After being let down at very short notice from another taxi company , I booked an airport transfer with Twelve Transfers on 4th September for airport transfer on 5th September (Gatwick - London) . Website was simple to use and telephone operator helpful. My driver was on time and kept me informed when and where he was at the airport. I was also updated via email and text which was great as I was worried I would be stranded at the airport at 2am. Happy with the service , price was reasonable compared to other companies and I would recommend to others.

Not sure where to begin

Not sure where to begin, but i can tell you how it ended. We booked a transportation from London to Bath. We had a wrong address and the driver wouldn't take us to the actual address which was 6 minutes away. So my family of 2 kids ages of 1.5 and 6 year old with 4 luggage were abandoned on a steep street in a 94 degree hot day.
The driver was so rude and arrogant that if we were in the United States I would have take the time and money to suit the company and the driver individually for endangering my family.

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback.

Unfortunately, despite having worked for over 10 years in this domain, you must be one of the most blatant liars we have seen thus far. What’s more annoying is that we don't even know why given that your claims make little to no sense, while even the driver himself was highly confused by your remarks.

You state that the driver left you at the wrong location - we asked your driver about this, and he categorically denied this claim, stating that not only did he ask you if the location he had stopped at was the correct one, which is standard procedure, but in fact, he also drove you to the correct location after you had found out that the hotel in cause was the incorrect one (by speaking with the receptionist).

You then state that the driver was “rude and arrogant” when you thanked him repeatedly at the end of the trip for his assistance and even offered a generous tip. Why would you thank him and offer him a tip if he was rude and arrogant to begin with?

I for one would be embarrassed to be in your shoes, even more when you take into consideration the farcical claims made and you wanting to sue us for endangering your family apparently. For someone that is a business owner himself, you sure have a severe lack of integrity.
