Twinwoods Adventure Avis 

Well organised fun. Our kids & my husband who stepped in at the last minute when one of our lot broke their hand the week before they were due to fly (ages 15,17,19 and an old man) really did have an absolute blast doing the indoor skydiving. Just a shame more of the activities weren't open and available to book as it was quite a long journey for us.

Having been a very loyal customer of Twinwoods Adventure (previously Bodyflight) for the past 15 years, I am very sad to have to leave such a negative review but feel it's important for potential customers to be warned.

I'm part of a skydiving team and together we bought a large amount of bulk time to train at the tunnel. We paid for that number of hours of flight, so purchased time, as opposed to putting credit on the account to then buy time.

We completely sympathise with the challenges Covid has brought to everyone and businesses like Twinwoods have obviously been hit. With that said, they have been unwilling through the past couple of years to allow us to either fly our time or to get a refund and it has got to the point where it is simply unacceptable for them to hold our money and neither exchange it for the service we purchased in good faith, or provide us with a refund.

We know electricity prices have changed, we know the economy has struggled, but we are not a bank, we did not loan our money to Twinwoods, we paid it to them to buy a service they sell and they have been uncompromising in enabling us to get this service.

Bitterly disappointing, we hope the business is able to return to its former position as a great place to experience flying, but as it stands, I can't recommend it and would suggest anyone considering training there choose an alternative wind tunnel.

It makes me sad to write this review, as I've been a loyal customer of twinwoods for many years now. But after many, many attempts at trying to get through to the company to resolve this amicably, we've been repeatedly ignored (except for one email that does not come close to a satisfactory outcome) and have been forced to write this review.

We have significant money on our account that we have paid for, and have been told straight up we are not allowed to use it, and they will not refund us.

This is simply unacceptable, not only have they taken our money, they refuse the service that we've paid for, and will not give it back.

It makes me sad to think that despite the happy memories I've had there over the years, I'll never use their services again

A hidden gem. Tried both the indoor skydiving and the salt caves. Would definitely visit again.

I would strongly advise skydivers against buying bulk tunnel time at Bodyflight. We purchased nine hours of tunnel time to take advantage of the bulk discount and for a number of months Twinwoods has not permitted us to use what remains of this time and also will not provide us with a refund. They have instead requested that we buy new time if we want to use the tunnel. We wish we hadn't bought this tunnel time given that we aren't able to use it, don't let the same thing happen to you!

UPDATE: We have been in constant communication (our end at least) with Twinwoods to try and resolve the issue, but they still refuse to refund us or allow us to fly our time.

Already rebooking! My 6yr old loved his morning there. We tried sky-diving and the coach was excellent, really encouraging and got the most from our time in the tunnel.

The two coaches who then looked after us on the surfing were equally professional, good fun and my son's asked me to go again this Christmas.

Fabulous. A great day out

Great communication right from the beginning planning our team away day. The Finance team was very patient with us and communicated through out planning. The team delivered a great variety of food during lunch, and there was more than enough to last us for the entire day. Great activities and coaches to guide us during the activities. The team had such a brilliant day filled with lots of laughter and fun activities. What a fantastic way to boost our wellbeing and socialise with our team. I would definitely recommend this venue for any corporate away day.

My grandson had the best day ever the staff were amazing

We had an amazing time indoor surfing. We had a private session for our family. Our instructor was great, encouraging the children to have a go. Our youngest (6) was a bit worried, so he took her on with him. She loved it and built her confidence. We all loved it from age 6 to 66!

Fantastic experience for my 11 year old son and his three friends for his birthday. We loved that they flew one at a time, so all the focus was on the one flyer. The instructor went to great efforts to find the relevant spectators and the viewing gallery was great. (Could do with a clean between sessions maybe?)
The person on reception (might have even been the instructor) was a little gruff and I found it hard to get all 4 kids donned in their flight gear with no help and being reminded to hurry up. That wasn’t helpful, and could have made a more stressed out person lose their cool. But when doing the actual flying he was great.
To improve it- just be a bit more friendly and smiley. But- I realise it’s not a laugh a minute as it could be dangerous. Seriousness is required.

When I arrived I thought I had landed in a movie set for a zombie movie! It’s very apocalyptic! But the lady on the gate told us where to go. It wasn’t busy or crowded and the receptionists were friendly and informative.

We started with the sky diving experience which was absolutely amazing. We booked 2 flights per child but immediately wished we had booked it for ourselves too. The instructor was fab and the kids had an experience of a lifetime.

We also did the climbing wall, surfing and the big jump. Kids loved it all but the sky dive was by far the winner.

All of the instructors that we met were informative, friendly and really helpful.

Only downside was availability of slots, we planned the day but did have quite a bit of sitting about to do as the activity times were quite far apart. So that’s just something to be mindful when booking.

Overall an amazing experience for the kids!

Great indoor surfing fun. The staff took extra special care to make sure my autistic son had a great time

We booked this for our sons 9th birthday. Staff were very helpful, especially Amy in the office. What struck us was that both the surfing and sky diving instructors were very good with the children and knew how to help support them. Awesome party-we will be coming back!

The salt treatment was ok, I was relaxed however there was a lack of facilities on top of the fact that the pool was freezing cold, the jet settings did not work and the steam room was not hot enough.

The restaurant was also not open, so we had to get food from the children’s soft play area.

Overall a strange experience at an ex military park, but still managed to have a nice time. However I would not pay full price for this, I got a discount through buyagift.

We went here for my son’s 13 birthday party and had a really fun time in the surfing zone. The instructor, Aaron, was great and ensured the kids were safe and well looked after on the surf. The food afterwards was excellent too.

Excellent morning at Twinwoods. I took my daughter (10) and her friend as a birthday treat. They did the indoor surfing and climbing wall….. and loved it. The instructor for the indoor surfing was friendly, fun and helped the girls out whenever he could. Would definitely recommend. Thank you.
