Used for months - it's terrible
Hopefully you find this page rather than the inflated editorial reviews. I'm another parent who's been using a Cubo 'AI' Plus for months having been given it by a friend. As the other parents say, it's buggy, crashes and unreliable. Often you wait minutes for it to connect. The integrated app help is broken more often than not. Half of the features are locked behind a subscription.
I got this for free and found it so frustrating I'm writing this review at three in the morning. Avoid this product.
Buy something else!
We have been using Cubo Ai for the last 6 months and for the price the product is really disappointing. There are always issues connecting to the device, the camera can freeze without you knowing, there is a lag in sound from the camera to your mobile. Another issue we have found over the months is it is impractical to take away on holiday and your smart device, phone or iPad are drained for battery from watching the baby monitor.
My in laws got a BIOFUN and by comparisons theirs is far superior.

Awful unreliable monitor.
We have been using our Cubo AI monitor and sleep sensor pad for the past few weeks but from 9th July we have started receiving multiple 'critical alerts' to say our daughter is not breathing when she is. I have contacted customer services who have sent me numerous troubleshooting steps to follow, asked 101 questions and advised I "turn it off for now"?! I did not pay almost £300 for a product to simply turn it off! Yesterday I was advised they are "releasing the app v2.12.0 this week to help fix any recurring account issues"?! I have updated the app and still got 5 critical alerts in the night. They do not seem concerned about the danger of false alarms. They are denying that the product is faulty and waiting for an engineer to determine whether or not I can have a replacement..
Almost £300 out of pocket with a product that won't work and the company refusing the refund me!!
Ridiculously expensive and unreliable plus all features are on a subscription
Ridiculously expensive. Bought because its meant to be Internet secure. Crashes all the time. All the features that are worth anything you have to pay a monthly subscription for after the first year. It frequently just stops working the app crashes and so it's pretty unreliable and risk not hearing little one cry. Can only message via app and super slow too reply when raise issues. Get a cheaper one. Not worth the money

after having the baby monitor for under 45 days it has stopped working I have asked for a refund multiple times as stated in the satisfaction guarantee but now I am offered a camera-only replacement because they are out of stock I will have to wait 21 days
As you can imagine when buying and getting ready for the new arrival without a baby monitor is extremely stressful
This company only will contact you via email or message on the app which can take up to 4 hours to reply
PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AS YOU WILL BE LEFT DISAPPOINTED AND WITHOUT A BABY MONITOR WHEN YOUR BABY ARRIVES
Save your money and buy something else
Great to begin with but now the camera constantly stops working, I have to open to app multiple times to get the camera to connect and even when it connects it often freezes after a few seconds. Save your money and get a vtech
Flakey product with terrible support team
I have logged 4 support cases with Cubo and had the exact same issue as others have mentioned; just getting stuck in a loop of scripted responses with no desire to actually resolve the issue.
Alexa integration is extremely flakey and you cannot rely on an Echo Show as a screen. The app works relatively consistently for viewing video feed, but don’t rely on any additional functions such as AI schedules etc. as they simply don’t work.

Similar experience as previous reviews have stated about a faulty camera that doesn’t work and extremely poor customer service. They repeatedly send you generic scripted solutions without reading what you’ve responded with and make you jump through hoops. I’ve been trying to get my camera working for over a month now and at this point I feel like it’s a scam to drag out the troubleshooting as long as possible so we are no longer eligible for the 45 day money back guarantee.

The customer service has been good and attentive, but they also served us a lot of technical scripts that they don't seem to then understand.
Bad customer service if your device is faulty
Bought the camera in a Black Friday deal in 2022 but when I tried to use it for our baby in June 2023 it doesn’t work. Either can’t connect to wifi or connects and disconnects or freezes when viewing video.
Customer support will parrot the same things at you, “Is it near the router? Can you disable roaming? Can you run a Netflix speed test? Can you remove special characters from the SSID? Can you connect it to your phones hotspot?”.
None of these work, and frankly you shouldn’t have to make dedicated SSIDs with all features disabled for such a premium product. I have Reolink cameras, an Owlet, first generation Amazon Alexas and they all work without dissecting the WiFi.
They want to blame you, as it’s the easy way out. They won’t live up to their responsibility to repair, replace or refund so you better buy on a credit card because you’ll have to Section 75 them.
If you must buy the CuboAi go to Amazon, they will at least sort out an easier return or refund.
Inconsistent and unsafe level of monitoring
We were really excited about our Cubo ai purchase when we were expecting our first baby.
Not just because of how it looked but also the list of clever features Cubo have added to the camera and app.
Unfortunately we have been left having to use a second camera as a back up because we just can’t trust the information we are seeing.
First of all the temperature reading has always been off. The reading is always up to three degrees higher than the temp of the room. Cubo kindly sent a new thermometer attachment but it continues to have the same issue.
We have a constant drop out of the live feed, it freezes and also has a delayed audio to video. No matter what you unplug, reinstall or refresh this does not rectify itself.
Due to this we cannot be confident that we are able to safely monitor our baby when we are not in the room.
When attempting to resolve this with Cubo they have responded by saying it is our internet connection and for an accurate and smooth connection you need above 85 mbps. I have never had internet this fast in a house in the U.K!
We are left with a monitor that we don’t think is safe and no resolution from the company.
