After being repeatedly let down by other energy companies, we got in touch with UK Building Compliance to perform the calculations and energy ratings for our new build coffee shop. excellent service for a price
They were really responsive and great service from the surveyor and the business side. A bit pricey and needed a second visit and that was a bit more pricey.

Too Much
Being compelled by Building Regs to get a sound test between two flats, I paid UK Building Compliance £720 for a one-hour test. After the test, they provided a 20-page computer-generated report, which to me was incomprehensible; it focused mainly on what they did and what equipment they used. The report said it failed but not why, where or how. Was it airborne, impact, or other noises? There was nothing—no information, no ideas about the solution, not a clue. I was told I should go to another company and pay more again for more details. £720 for the one-hour test with no information other than “get another company” makes me feel like I’ve been ripped off.

We are sorry to hear that you were not happy with the service that we provided. Our technician did try to call you and did respond to your e mail interpreting the report to you. As explained to you, the certificate that is produced is an industry standard report that is produced by our governing body, therefore we are required by them to produce the report in this way. We did also clarify why we believed that the test failed, but did mention that sound testing is very hard to diagnose on the day to know exactly what would be causing the issue within the floor. We provided you with contact details of a company who would be able to help you with our diagnosis and our technician let you know that he was happy to discuss this further with you.
