UpEquity Does Exactly What It Says It Will Do!
UpEquity explained the process upfront and did exactly what they said they would do via a written proposal. My clients were able to buy their home before selling their existing home through the equity program. A process I thought would be complicated, was quick and easy!
Is Zero an option?
Is Zero an option? They have no intention of honoring their contract to buy my home, they filed foreclosure paperwork at 3 months instead of 120 days as prescribed by law. They refused to take a partial payment when offered because they would much rather steal my house than get reimbursed.
they wont stop the harassment
no matter how many times i tell them to stop calling me they just keep cold calling. ALl hours of the day and night. I block number after number and they keep calling from new numbers. I had to file a complaint with the BBB to hopefully make this stop. This is an awful company that will harass you endlessly. don't let them get your info!
Closing was delayed, stressed, and confusing to client
Closing was delayed. Last minute issue on title. Everything was a crunch.
here were too many people calling and talking to client. When the notary went out property address was wrong and thought he was there doing a cash out refinance.
We talked about having the funds wired to their purchase, instead they asked for a check as they were so confused.
Funding was then delayed another 2 days as that had to be figured out
I will say this..
I will say this... it's very hard to know which reviews are fake and which are real. I'm aware that review ratings can very easily be manipulated. So, RE Agents/Brokers, if you would help us all out and post your credentials, I think most of us would be able to make a more informed decision whether or not to bring this to our clients' attention... we all know our Code of Ethics and responsibilities to our clients. Go the extra mile to protect your clients! Please and thank you. Dian Taylor, West USA Realty, Scottsdale, Arizona 602-672-6813
This is unacceptable
This is unacceptable. If the lender would not have swooped in with lender credits you would have left my client homeless.. I really cannot believe the bait and switch tactic that is used well after my client has any power to do anything. You owe my client $4120.00. Sending a settlement statement after the fact is not a good look.. my higher ups are looking at this experience in consideration of our upcomming possible partnership.
great product very easy to use
This was the worse experience for…
This was the worse experience for myself and my client. I wish I could give a 5 stars because the sales person and the Manager I worked with were so amazing. If it were them alone I would have said at least 3.5 but their processor Francesca was a nightmare to work with. Horrible, horrible, horrible communicator. Not friendly or warm and left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. I have been in the Real estate business for 20+ years and I have never seen such poor service in all my year. Use Home Light, Revive or Zoom Casa
We had a fantastic experience with UpEquity.
We had a fantastic experience with UpEquity!
Their program made it possible for us to buy a new home while we were still in the process of selling our current one - something we didn't think would be possible. This flexibility took a huge weight off our shoulders during what could have been a very stressful time.
The process was smooth, the team was supportive, and they clearly understood the challenges of buying and selling at the same time. Thanks to UpEquity, we were able to move forward confidently and secure the home we wanted without having to wait.
There aren't many platforms we've come across that inspired immediate confidence, but this one did just that. The clarity of its design, the transparency in its processes, and the ease of use all contributed to an experience that felt trustworthy from day one.
This is an incredible program for anyone in a similar situation, and we're very grateful for the opportunity it gave us. Highly recommend!
Customer Service was GREAT
I worked with Elana who was very helpful and kind, I enjoyed working with her. I would give her 5 stars. but I gave the company 4 stars simply because of the inspection company used for my home inspection, which was troublesome.
The people that I dealt with UpEquity Loan were Korin Devor & Daren Pope.
The people that I dealt with, Daren Pope & Korin Devor, were both knowledgeable, personable, and professional. Very smooth process that I would definitely recommend.
The biggest scam out there
The loan process went smooth. The realtor that brought the company to me (I did not seek them) assured me my house would sell in the 6 months. Between a lazy realtor and the market turning in my area, I did not sell. I’ve been trying to work out a short sale to sell the house but they will not return emails or phone calls. They have just left things do I literally cannot sell my property. So now because I can’t move the property I’m looking at foreclosure and bankruptcy when this could have been avoided..

Help dreams come true
Team was friendly, very responsive, and supportive. They made this process very smooth and a dream come true. I truly had an excellent experience.
This revue is not intended to get help…
This revue is not intended to get help not complain about your company. I bought a condo after selling my home of 32 years. Quickly I realized it was not where I wanted to be. My realtor advised me to use up equity to finance another place I liked. Time passed my place didn’t sell. I was being charged $150 a day and not sure how long b4 I was able to refinance this loan . To pay for that now I have to sell my existing place I’m guessing I may only end up with 100k after selling 2 property totaling $600.000. The first place I bought at $320k ended up finally selling it for $250k my current place I paid $260 now listed at $210. I can’t get anyone to tell me how much this loan is or the date it goes into default I’m going to end up homeless I got $60k from the first sale I can’t buy anything with that. The realtor keeps lowering the price on my current place no one is looking at it no open house. IM 60 years old thus is not what I intended I’m sure I’m waiting my time with this revue when I have no place to go home too no1 is going to help me so I’m screwed I paid off my 1st home st age 53 all set. 7 years later I’m f””cked
Let down
My family chose to work with UpEquity to purchase our new home. Initially, I was skeptical, but after speaking with their representative, I felt reassured that they would support us financially and coordinate with the lender, allowing us to focus on selling our current home and handling other important details. Their promise gave us hope, and we decided to place our trust in them.
Unfortunately, communication fell short. I received constant calls from the lender due to a lack of coordination from UpEquity. When I reached out to confirm that everything was in place, the lender was hearing about UpEquity’s involvement in our home purchase for the first time. This was both surprising and frustrating, as we had trusted them to manage this aspect smoothly.
As the closing date approached, I followed up with UpEquity to ensure that all necessary documents had been sent to the lender and that the wire transfer would be completed on time. I was assured that everything was on track. However, I later had to personally send the lender signed documents from my own inbox because there was nothing on file. Three days before closing, I reached out again and was told the documents had been scanned and that the transfer was still on schedule.
The day before closing, the lender contacted me to confirm numbers. When I reached out to legal to verify the transfer, I discovered that the wire had never been received. UpEquity assured me that the transfer was in process and would show up on the day of closing. However, when I arrived at the closing appointment, the wire was still missing. After multiple attempts to reach UpEquity, we were finally informed that the transfer had never been made. Instead of taking responsibility, they blamed their legal team for a delay they had been aware of for days.
At that point, we felt completely betrayed, misled, and deeply frustrated. Eventually, the VP of Customer Service called to apologize and assured us that the wire would be sent that same day, which it was. While I appreciate the apology, I still believe UpEquity should have done more to rectify the emotional stress and additional work we had to take on—work that was supposed to be handled as part of the services we paid for.
I truly hope UpEquity takes this feedback to heart and makes significant improvements in communication and follow-through. Buying a home is already a stressful process, and no family should have to experience the level of uncertainty and last-minute scrambling that we did.
Issues
There were a couple issues I had with using upequity. First is you have 30 days to move out of your current place but that when you sign papers with upequity not when you actually close on your new house so you really only have less than 3 weeks to move, which my situation I only have a week. Secondly during my closing of my new house the amount on equity I was supposed to get was decreased and no one was informed of that and it was confirmed several times before closing the amount so at closing I had to provide another 4k or I would have not been able to close.
Hands down fantastic
Hands down fantastic! My clients were super excited the process was so easy!
So far so good
So far so good! We're not through the selling of my current house yet.
It was so easy! I took money out of my equity and bought my new house. All I had to do was sign a few papers. I would do a Commercial for you!
Up Equity is a very friendly and professional company
