I have used VTG multiple times. Mostly very good experience but the issue can be the specific agent you get. On most occasions the agent was great. Once I got a lazy agent who was slow to email or return phone calls. Same agent took a request but never answered whether he could get it done or not. If you use them and find a good agent, try to use same agent again. It’s a big company and employee motivation is variable. Other than that issue, the company has very good prices and I’ve never had a problem with the bookings.

I booked a cruise with VacationsToGo and then they subsequently sent me an email that the cruise was cancelled. Note VacationsToGo sent me the notification and not the cruise line. I elected for a refund. Yet after two months I still haven't received a refund. VacationsToGo claimed the refund was posted to my account a month ago but nothing was posted and was an outright lie. It was VacationsToGo that took my credit card information (not the cruise line), immediately charged it and then 6 weeks later they told me the cruise was cancelled. I never received a cancellation directly from the cruise line - Only via VacationsToGo. Although I never communicated directly with the cruise line as VacationsToGo handled all of the charges and communication, they now tell me that they are only a middleman and nothing they can do. On top of this I have airline tickets that are unusable resulting in more financial loss. So if you want to lose thousands of dollars then book through them. In my opinion they are criminal.

Found out about Vacationstogo.com from a guest who was staying at a Hilton Hotel that I work at. Guest told me he used VTG on several occasions receiving very good prices and service. When it came time for me to book a cruise to the Greek Islands, I saw one with an unfamiliar line at a very reasonable rate for a solo traveler. Called VTG and spoke to Mohammed in Houston and he said he had never cruised with them but had heard from others that it is a reputable line and the price quoted today will increase shortly. I told him I am going solo so he suggested the inside cabin if I wanted to save money. Mohammed was able to reserve the inside cabin that was best available at the time and I only needed to give him a fully refundable deposit of $100. He followed up a few weeks later about the cruise and I paid the rest at that time. I never felt any pressure from Mohammed to upgrade to a balcony or window cabin and the one he originally selected worked well for me. Also, the cost of the cruise did increase by 50% shortly after I reserved my cabin. I went into the actual cruise website, then back into the VTG website and prices did increase significantly.

I went through two different representatives and have to say both were extremely poor in responding to emails. To get answers, I had to go to the Cruise Lines themselves.

My mother booked an expensive Oceania Baltic cruise through VacationsToGo.com. She told the booking agent that she used a walker and needed a handicap accessible cabin. She paid over $12k (including the single supplement) for a verandah cabin. When she boarded the ship and went to her cabin, she discovered the cabin itself and especially the bathroom were too small to accommodate the use of a walker. At that point her only option was to trade her high end cabin for an inside one floors below. Neither the cruise line (Oceania) or the Vacationstogo.com offered to refund the difference in the value of the cabins.

Our experience with Vactions to Go was great. Cruise consultant Maria Rodrigues was wonderful.

I've booked through Vacations To Go several times over the years and have never had an issue with their booking service. The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars instead of a higher rating is because of the travel insurance company they strongly promote, Generali Global Assistance.

I purchased the travel insurance for peace of mind, but when I missed my cruise because of significant flight delays, the experience became a nightmare. I provided proof that my flights were delayed, yet Generali continues to deny my claim and refuses to honor the coverage I paid for.

Vacations To Go should be ashamed to recommend and sell insurance from a company that treats its customers this way. When you trust their recommendation, you expect them to stand behind the companies they partner with. Instead, customers are left paying for insurance that, in my experience, does not deliver when it's needed most.

I will never use Vacations To Go for booking cruises, and definitely will never purchase the travel insurance they recommend again, and I encourage others to research their insurance options carefully before buying.

Bait and switch pricing. When you check cruise price from their website and then call them, their price is suddenly double.

Firstly, the agent I booked my 1st cruise with was never there when I needed him and I had to ask for a specialist. Then a friend referred me to another agent who took over and booked my transfer from the airport to port. At no time did either agent say my cruise did not include gratuities! My quote stated the cost included ALL CHARGES AND FEES. After the cruise, I was charged by MSC for gratuities. I told my agent and she said she would look into it. I didn't hear back so I called VTG and spoke to a Paolo. He got MSC on the phone and said I'd have to tell them about it. I so you aren't going to help me at all? And he said NO! He said I should have looked at the fine print on the confirmation. Well it was my 1st cruise and I didn't look at the fine print because I went by what the quote said including the amount due on the confirmation. MSC refunded me the money even though it wasn't their fault. I called VTG back and spoke to a mgr who apologized for Paolo's rudeness and said if I ever have any questions I could call her. Well I tried going online to look at booking my next cruise but I was PROHIBITED FROM VIEWING THE CRUISES OR NAVIGATING ANYTHING ON THEIR WEBSITE! So I called and each time I was told I'd have to talk to the Vice President! Who? They transferred me to an extension of someone who I will not name and she turned out to be the VP of customer service not the VP of the company. She never returned my calls and neither did the manager who told me I could call her back at any time. I was essentially "barred" from the travel agency. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I submitted a complaint to the BBB and they have contacted VTG and it will stay on their record.

I can’t say enough about the great service we received from Theresa Little at Vacations to go.
We had to cancel 2 cruises ( for 9 people) because of sudden health issues. We did not have insurance. She was able to negotiate with the cruise company to get a credit for a future cruise.
Additionally, she contacted us twice to let us know there were significant price reductions.

I’ve been dealing with VTG for 25 years and always was served professionally and courteously. Everything that was promised was received including cruise, cabins,transports and amenities. I highly recommend them to everybody.

Five credit cards hacked at the same time as a group of friends reserved a cruise through Vacations to Go. Coincidence? I think not. The company denies responsibility and blames the cruise line.

Wow I sure wish I had checked test pilot before my booking. So many bad reviews. Big mistake not doing a bit more research on Vacations to go. Still hoping they will come through for me but past reviews are NOT reassuring 😡

Everything was okay until I started checking out the cost of their insurance. They used a company called Generali Global Assistance. To cover just the cost of the cruise($8000.00) the premium was $1308.00. This was through the travel agent Vacations To Go. BIG MISTAKE! I went through the Generali website and by applying directly the cost was $462.00 for a standard plan. Do not buy the insurance through VTG. Trying to get a refund but I'm not hopeful. Feel genuinely ripped off.

I contacted the company to book my first ever cruise, and they should have known better than to book the Seabourn Sojourne for me as a first timer. I was on 10 days of a 6 month around the world cruise that started at the first of the year. As a result, the passengers were all grouped up, and the staff assumed that I knew everything, when I knew nothing. My neediness was treated with impatience by Management staff, and when I provided the feedback that their ship was not very accommodating for a first time passenger their egos were offended, and they spoke to me in a very mean and unprofessional manner. I contacted Vacations to go for assistance, and they were of no help.
I know from a long career as a Resort Hotel Manager, including General Manager at 2 hotels in Hawaii, and 1 in San Diego that if an important booking agent is calling my office to advise that one of their customers is having a problem, I took it seriously and resolved the problem.
So unfortunately, Vacations To Go did not advise me well, and they had no ability to help me when I needed it, so I recommend buying from whichever broker the line recommends, since they are more likely to have a relationship where they can be an ally if needed.

I booked a resort package and paid for flight only with plans to pay for resort later. The flight with Alaska airlines changed their schedule a few months before flight. As per Dept of transportation I am entitled to a full refund. Vacations to go is refusing to refund my flight. They are giving me a lot of pushback and arguments. THEY ARE BREAKING THE LAW. I will never book with them again. Fraud. Inow will contest this via my credit card. Travellers beware !

Terrible website....makes no sense. Choose 6 things to narrow it down and they give you 100 trips but with no information other than temperatures and how to get to the port. Maybe its a "show up and see where you go" type of trip?? Lol. Will look elsewhere
