One of the best events ever
This was one of the best events I have been to. They have a very good pool of candidates. I was completely sold in the first 15 mins of meeting people. Great job and will definitely come back for more.

This event is a great idea in theory, but...
This event is a great idea in theory, however, 5 minutes isn't really enough time to get to know candidates on a personal level. For smaller companies, the culture is very important and this event was aimed a lot more at technical skills as opposed to personality fit, company interest, and being in line with our mission.
I think in the future if an event like this was to take place, I would definitely be more keen to search profiles beforehand, and set up calls with those candidates - then focus the 5 minute chat on a more personal connection. Hindsight is always 20/20!

Prior to the event, our team has shared over a candidate list of those in attendance, and lists are also shared post-event for our hiring partners to follow up and have more in-depth conversations.
The 5 minute sessions and time limit helps ensure that you're able to meet a good number of folks, and build connections for further followup.

I use and recommend 100% VanHack
It is the first time that we as Sequra participate in an event from VanHack. It is been REALLY awesome.
First of all because the speed at which the VanHack team responds to any incident is very good.
Secondly because the quantity and quality of candidates is very good, although I think that the filter could be improved by leveling a little more the English up (since some candidates are not very understandable, although they are the minority) it is a very good pipe!
And third and not least... the platform is excellent!!!! If we could work with interview hackathons like this once a month I think the hiring ratio of any company would improve incredibly.
I use and recommend 100% VanHack and I wish that all companies that have a high volume of new hires, that we know the headaches that this can generate haha, can have access to platforms like this that will simplify their work a lot.

Senior developer hired!
We recently hired a senior developer using VanHack. Their platform is very easy use and gives you a great overview of the pipeline of candidates, with the ability to filter by the technical skill sets you are looking for. Their staff is very responsive and cordial. Will for sure use them again.

Great Experience
Nick and Cristian were very helpful throughout the process. They clearly set expectations, presented strong candidates to us quickly, and were responsive whenever we had questions.

After months of searching on our own
After months of searching on our own, we decided to get VH a shot. We were hesitant given the price but after experiencing the high level of support from their team and high quality candidate flow, we realized what a great value they provide. A magic bullet in a tough market!
After trying various traditional approaches to recruiting, VanHack was really refreshing. It's a blend of great people and technology coming together to solve a hard problem.
