End of tenancy service
I decided to book Vapor Clean for my end of tenancy cleaning. Despite their quote coming in highest amongst a selection of 3 companies I contacted, I decided to book them as their truspilot reviews have a good overall score. Unfortunately, the service that followed was pretty appalling.
The crew arrived on time on the day - 3 cleaners with different vans. I opened the flat up and left them to it. 3 hours later they texted that they had finished. When I got there, one of the cleaners had already left and the only thing that had been cleaned decently was the windows. The kitchen still had crumbs, dust and grease marks all over, the carpet was not cleaned to a level that I would consider satisfactory (especially the edges), and 2 storage cupboards had been complitely missed. When I explained my disappointment and expressed I wasn't comfortable paying the balance, I was told the guy who'd already left was in charge of the kitchen so it was his fault if this hadn't been cleaned properly, and that the carpet cleaner they had didn't have the right attachments to deal with dusty edges and hair in the carpet. So I asked to speak to the head office, and was told that if I didn't pay the balance, they would charge delay penalties. Honestly, while it was said politely, it came across as a bit of a threat.
Head office requested the cleaning crew to go over the kitchen again (as they acknowledged the cleaner who'd already left had done an appalling job) as well as the carpet and the cupboards that had been missed in the first place. I waited in the car while they did so. Half an hour later, I was told it was now all done. Upon checking, the kitchen was better but still had marks that would easily wipe away. The carpet was also a little better but the edges were still not done.
When I asked to clean a couple of spots again in the kitchen, I was initially told 'No' and even 'If you think it wipes off, why don't you clean it yourself'. Needless to say, all stains easily came off with a wipe when they actually cleaned those areas.
I would not recommend Vapor Clean services. Unfortunately, the cleaning service was not up to scratch and I had to spend a few hours cleaning the place myself following their visit. What made it even more disappointing was the price - their quote was considerably higher than other companies I'd contacted for quotes, but I decided to give them the job as I thought it would mean a better and more reliable service. The cleaning crew's attitude was also unprofessional at times, which made the whole experience more unpleasant.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are very disappointed to read about your experience, particularly as you chose Vapor Clean based on our reputation and reviews.
Firstly, we would like to sincerely apologise that the standard of cleaning initially carried out did not meet your expectations. We expect all areas included within an end of tenancy clean to be completed thoroughly, and it is clear from your comments that this was not achieved on this occasion.
Whilst we appreciate that our office was able to arrange for the team to rectify the missed areas and address some of the concerns raised, we are sorry to hear that you remained dissatisfied with the final result. We are equally concerned by the comments regarding the attitude and professionalism displayed during the visit. This is not the level of customer service we expect from our team and your feedback has been raised internally for review.
We understand your frustration, particularly given that you selected our service based on quality and previous reviews. We never want a customer to feel disappointed or that they have had to complete cleaning themselves following our attendance.
Thank you again for bringing these matters to our attention. All feedback, both positive and negative, helps us identify where improvements are needed. We wish you all the best in your new home.
Kind regards,
Ann

Poor
Sadly, very unimpressed. I paid £120 for an oven clean for the existing oven in my new house. The guy arrived over 90 mins late for the time I was given, he then proceeded to try and clean the oven and failed terribly. He was unable to clean the door and left dirty stains all over my kitchen.
When I turned the oven on it gave off an awful chemical smell that I meant I actually scrapped the oven altogether.
I wouldn’t recommend.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience.
In regard to the arrival time, unfortunately our technicians can sometimes run late due to unforeseen circumstances such as traffic. This is why we provide a one-hour arrival window rather than an exact arrival time. We apologise that you were not updated on this occasion.
Regarding the clean itself, we were not made aware of any issues following the appointment. We always offer our customers the opportunity for us to return and rectify any areas they are not happy with, as we want to ensure every customer is satisfied with the service provided. Unfortunately, as we did not receive any communication from you advising us of any concerns, we were unable to arrange a return visit to address these points.
Our company uses eco-friendly cleaning products, so any chemical smell experienced after the clean may have been related to previous products or substances used within the oven. However, without being given the opportunity to return and inspect the oven or rectify any concerns, we are unable to determine the cause of this.
Had we been contacted to let us know you were unhappy with any aspect of the service, we would have been more than happy to arrange a return visit and resolve any issues for you. We always aim to put things right where possible, but unfortunately we can only do this when we are made aware of a problem.
Kind regards,
Vapor Clean
