Wrongly reviewed Venus Legal
I initially reviewed Venus Legal limited and gave them a one star review as i thought Venus legal’s name was being used in a scam.This is because I didn’t received at time any paperwork or emails from the company that had first contacted me, Emission Cheat Claim only texts. I received a helpful call from Owen from Venus Legal. I am now satisfied it is all legitimate and they emailed me the paperwork. I am now relieved because I got nervous as I was scammed out of £6,000 a couple of weeks ago. I look forward to doing further business with them.

Clarity on Emissions
I had a similar experience where a site signed me up to the emissions claim, not really providing much info until later down the line where it looks like your bound to certain things. Only got this info a year after, so then after seeing reviews got very stressed and anxious, couldn't sleep at all. I emailed and spoke with Zoe, who broke it down and explained the process and your protection, everything, and it really does appear structured and right. I think if you are reading this based on a similar story, reach out to them and they will help with process of it. Thank you Zoe for helping me put my mind at ease.

I have deleted all my previous reviews of Venus Legal. My onboarding experience with the Emissions claim was a negative one, they did not inform of the Legal Team who would be dealing with my claim. I found this information from another source. I did not receive email confirmation of t and c for nearly 10 days. There was a failure to effectively communicate. I became anxious and cancelled the claim. A phone call from Owen Coyle on the 26/02/26 provided information and reassurance. My concerns were discussed and I am considering rejoining the claim.

On a par with cold call scammers from Asia pushing for sign up to emissions claims. Really bad practise. Alex, if you give the name of your company and where you are based, then refuse to give me the director's name and hang up on me, I'll just block your number.
In response to your reply, you leave no name, no department and you hide behind a poor justification of what you are doing. I did not ask for you to call me, I have not filled anything in on line and therefore your agents chasing sign-ups are doing so as cold callers. If you have a database from some equally unprofessional company that has hacked DVLA/insurance records to get a vehicle that was purchased in 2010 and sold in 2013, then it's on you, not me. What colour is the sky on your planet if you want me to phone up to discuss this? Lorna McGlone - your legal practice needs help.

Off shore call centre claiming to work for
I have been receiving several calls a week from a call centre not based in the UK claiming to be working as an outreach centre and are covered by the 'GDRP so I am protected'. They wanted personal information so that they can progress my fiancé claim for a car purchase. This all seems very dodgy to me. I doubt that a UK based legal firm would be mixed up with these persistent calls.

Please can you provide us with your contact details so we can contact you and understand why you are associating this outreach centre with Venus Legal ? We would never call you and request your personal information. Furthermore, we have not taken on any finance claims nor are there plans to, until we understand exactly what the FCA redress scheme for motor finance customers is going to be. It may be in client's best interests to pursue any finance claims themselves.
What we have seen trending lately is that clients who have visited websites or click onto social media links to see whether they are eligible for finance claims, are providing their personal information and are subsequently, receiving lots of phone calls and correspondence from various sources.
If you provide us with your contact details, we will contact you to endeavour to help you in anyway we can but to be clear, and for the avoidance of doubt, we do not make cold calls to anyone nor do we request personal information. You have already stated that you doubt a UK based legal firm would be mixed up with these persistent calls and that is unequivocally correct.
The FCA is consulting on a redress scheme for motor finance customers who were treated unfairly, aiming to provide compensation for those affected by inadequate disclosure of commission and contractual ties. An update on the redress scheme is expected on 12 December 2025 and we have no plans to help progress these claims until we know exactly what is involved.

I must admit I was very sceptical at first after reading the reviews but I must admit that my experience has been nothing but good. I did call when I received the paperwork for my Mercedes & BMW , which was quite alarming and written in legal speak, but my mind was put at rest after speaking with Owen, whos a lawyer there and I am now in the claim, waiting like everyone else. Fingers crossed it looks likely that manufacture’s will offer a compensation package in the next few months or beginning of next year. My attitude is you’ve got to be in it to win it. Plus is No Win No Fee.

Dodgy
Similar to other reviewers on here I filled in an online form to include my details with a diesel emissions claim. An electronic signature was taken to initiate the process which made no mention of fees at all. I have emailed them on hello@ and had no reply, however recently received a text with a link to a legal document that mentions fees of 40% + VAT as well as hourly rates and insurance fees that then had my previous electronic signature superimposed onto it.
Must say I'm really not sure that this is legitimate.

Before any clients can join the claim, we need their express permission to digitalise their signature. You voluntarily provided us with this express permission and at no point where you obligated to do so. Without this permission, you would not have received any legal paperwork relevant to a Diesel Emissions claim.
We offer a ‘No Win No Fee’ arrangement, so if you don’t win your case, you won’t have to pay anything. Our fees are 40% + VAT which will be taken from your compensation in the event the claim is successful. For your full protection, every client is given an ATE insurance policy of £200 - only payable upon a successful outcome and is standard across the sector.

This company is very dodgy beware. I received text messages about diesel emissions and when I inserted my number plate to check if I could have a claim, before I knew it I received emails from solicitors with my signature on stating that 40% of payout would be paid to them? I did not receive any paperwork regarding this for me to sign and consent to and I certainly did not sign this agreement!!! However it’s my signature…this is illegal paperwork signed without my knowledge. Beware this is company is very dodgy. They say you can cancel within 14 days and no one gets back to you.
