We bought a second-hand Volvo from Virtue. We had a couple of issues initially, and to be fair, these were resolved apart from an ongoing problem that we had pointed out at the time of purchase. We also had to pay over half the cost of a new key so that we could have two keys, as the car only came with one.
However, the aftercare has been very disappointing. The car is still within the 3-month warranty period, yet the issue we originally raised has continued to worsen. In hindsight, we probably should have left the car there when we first noticed it.
We had the problem checked by our local Volvo dealer, who confirmed it is a known issue with Volvo vehicles. Normally, Volvo may offer a goodwill repair for this type of fault, particularly as the car has a full Volvo service history and has covered less than 30,000 miles. Unfortunately, Volvo declined to help because the car was purchased through Virtue rather than directly from a Volvo dealership.
Had we bought the car directly from Volvo, we would also have received a 12-month warranty instead of just 3 months. Overall, we are very disappointed that Virtue seem unwilling to help with a known and worsening issue.
Lesson learned: buying directly from the main dealership may cost more, but the aftercare and warranty support are likely to be much better.

After taking on the order from another dealer that failed to deliver, they took the time to understand my situation and needs and did all they could to make the experience as smooth as possible without delays.
Jack was especially helpful giving my order the special attention it required.

Spotted a used Renault Symbioz at Vertu at York. After working out a good deal with Matt and help from Mark we are now the proud owners of the advertised car and over the moon with it, being a quality and comfortable vehicle. We send our thanks to the team at Vertu for sorting out the sale and p/x of our trade in car. 5stars for customer service and highly recommended.

When I finally received the car, the condition was nowhere near what I expected for that price. The driver’s side floor mats were dirty, the pedals were unclean, and the engine bay hadn’t even been properly cleaned. I was told the car had been “wiped down,” but the level of dirt suggested it hadn’t been properly attended to for quite some time.
To make matters worse, the boot cover was missing entirely, which should have been clearly addressed before handover.
Spending this amount of money, I expected a much higher standard of service and attention to detail. Overall, I felt let down and not properly looked after as a customer.
I've never recommend vertu or going york to buy your car.

Marcus made the car buying process a pleasure and Vertu York had just the car we wanted in stock. They were flexible and helpful with organising accessory fitting, part exchange and collection and they will be our first port of call when we are ready to change vehicle next time.

The whole process was very quick and easy. I went through Autotrader and saw the car I wanted straight away. I must recommend Marcus at York Clifton Moor. He went above and beyond to get me my car. The car is absolutely stunning and I’m very impressed with the service.
