Our History
The Vitality Institute was founded by Dr. Abdala Khalil who created a custom chemical peel for his daughter, Marya, as a solution for her cystic acne at a time when chemical peels were unsafe for skin of color. The results were impressive but moreover, her confidence from having clear skin inspired Dr. Khalil to share his peel with the world. After Dr. Khalil’s untimely passing, Marya stepped into a leadership role at Vitality Institute and today, is the CEO. Under her leadership, the company has grown to offer VI Derm clinical skincare and 6 medical grade VI Peel formulations formulated to reduce pigment and increase cell turnover.
